I only recently discovered Bathory. Been listening to them for only about a month now. And they've become my favorite band by far. Fucking MIND-BLOWING. Every single album is pure gold. This album, in particular, is one of the greatest musical albums I've ever heard.

Yeah, that's the only issue I have with Bathory. He's very hit or miss with the vocals. Some songs sound great vocally, but then some other songs are like "Damn man, you ruined it...."
I just focus on the guitars, drums, and bass.
