This was a kit I'd been waiting on for 18 years, and I'm super hyped to get mine. Zeonic Front was a pretty ambitious Gundam game, especially so for one that made it stateside, and one I have a lot of fond (and terrifying) memories with.
I absolutely loved zeonic front. The mission that made me most miserable was collecting data on the white base and trying to maneuver around rx78 and his beam cannon had me on edge for the longest lol

Its eyes were also red in Zeonic Front's render, but not its design artwork. I'm going with red for that antagonist feel the Gundam was supposed to have in that game.
Its falling out of favor at the higher costs because you have the MLRS GP02, lv 3 gelgoog cannon, and gelgoog J lv 3. It's beast mode at the 450 cost level though.
like i said, mudrock gets completely slammed in unrestricted because of GP02BB raping it, then you have all the other OP support units like Gelgoog J lv 3 and Gelgoog cannon lv 3 out there, then even Rick Dias can hold its own against Mudrock and thats only 500 cost, right at the same cost as Mudrock lv2. Then on top of that, Rick dias just got a non-damaging stun attack today which will absolutely WRECK Mudrock now, so maybe you should pay attention a bit to the meta before opening your mouth about mudrock?
to be fair to the Mudrock, it ain't the first time a Gundam lost to a Zaku. it's all about Pilot Skill. RX-78-2, while not destroyed, was pretty much floored by the Zaku II S-Type there's the Full Armor Gundam that got destroyed by the Bullet Zaku near the end of the war. the Thunderbolt Gundam was beaten pretty handily by the Psycho Zaku.
Black Chandelier Mirage It’s not really Christina’s fault that the Alex got destroyed by a Zaku. She had to get used to a suit that was specifically tuned for a Newtype, and she even stated that it felt out of control at times. No matter her skill level, she’d probably get her ass handed to her because she’s simply the wrong pilot for the machine.
Mudrock Also had Red Eyes in Zeonic Front on PS2. Scary thing when you haven't really played any RTS style game. And I was like 10 when I played it and Mudrock hunted my dreams so powerful. Movement like a Dom and Firepower of a Gundam on steroids..
That is my one real gripe with this kit. IIRC, if you remove shipping and the P-Bandai upcharge, they said the MSRP on this thing was something like $35. For an HG that expensive, not including two extra parts for the grenade launchers is IMO inexcusable.
Zeonic front was my first introduction into the universe of Gundam. I never watched any of the shows or knew anything about Gundam. This is maybe the reason why I am a big fan of Zeons mobile suits. But I would love to have this model.

Who knows if it's actually released it pretty close to the MG. Maybe because of the "Dreaded Tristan" incident or something.
@@alfianfahmi5430 All the runners are labelled Mudrock. They would need to redo all of the molds aside from maybe a few joints from the C-Runner. It's incredibly unlikely to happen any time soon. If you look at modern examples where Bandai released two (non-SD) grades in quick succession, the only example I can think of is the P-Bandai Shezarr Jesta B&C. And in that case, the base kits already existed and the MG was very lacklustre. I know everyone loves the Alex and is hopeful. But it's not happening any time soon. Bandai will almost certainly keep it in their back pocket for a few years still.

I'm not much for Gunpla but this is rather cool to see that Bandai finally kitted this variant of the Gundam, last time I saw the Mudrock it was featured in the November 2001 issue of Hobby Japan magazine, page 112. It was only ever a one-off kitbashed model!
I love that some of the parts on this kit may hint at a RX-78-4 and RX-78-5, though no doubt they'll be P-Bandai and may take years to release. Although we could just be getting a revive Alex.
In GBO2 i painted my Mudrock like G1 Soundwave and the colours work very well. Also this is the only RX-78 with a proper name. You should at least get the REVIVE RX-78-2. In terms of complete RX-78 families: MG is missing 6 & 7 whereas HGUC is missing 1, 4 & 5.
5:25 I barely even count the crotch sticker for HG. it is just far too common for it to not be in color. It is minor, and easy to overlook usually. It isn't like some mess like the ground gundam (thunderbolt)'s big old face tattoo.

I'm so used to seeing it with red eyes, the green eyes keep throwing me off. I feel like its red eyes are what makes it iconic compared to most Gundam designs... you know, aside from the dual cannons and hovering aesthetic. XD Also, as much as I ADORE the Pale Rider, I have a bad feeling about the Pale Rider Space Type's review since it's so sticker heavy. Ah, well. I love the kit and thats what's important.
There was also a dreamcast game that introduced a mobile suit they called the r-GM-3. Visually it was a step between the GM-2 and the GM space type. The game also made shoulder cannons an accessory. Gm cannon was literally just a GM-2 mounted with a single shoulder cannon, whereas the gm cannon had 2 built into the chest piece
Zeon if front is a hard PS2 Gundam game that has some strategy elements for planning routes for up to 3 mobile suit teams of Zeon mobile suits before the mission begins. Once the mission begins then you get into the 3rd person shooter elements of the game & you get to control one of the 3 team leaders & you can even switch between which one you are controlling in the middle of the battle. The story mode of the game is pretty much entirely from the perspective of the Principality of Zeon (more specifically the Zeon’s “Midnight Fenrir” team) & the Gundam Mudrock is basically the main “enemy character’s mobile suit” in the story throughout the game. I haven’t played the game myself… but I have heard from my uncle’s friend once that it is a hard PS2 Gundam game (probably THE HARDEST PS2 Gundam game) & I’ve only seen a let’s play of the entire story of the game here on RUclips.
I wish they'd used a sim8lar arm joint with the HG Jegans. The Jegan is shown multiple times in the lineart to be able to rotate its lower arms like that.
The reason why they put the forearm that way is because like the Alex, the Mudrock flips it's forearm by 180 degrees to fire it's arm cannons (i.e, the 90mm gatlings on the Alex, and the grenade launcher on the Mudrock)
Reminder to emulate PS2 Zeonic Front. It's probably the most accurate grunt simulator there is, you control up to 9 Zeon MS and can issue command to them. Amuro alone can destroy all of you and it's fucking scary.
Pretty sure the Pale Rider is not 100% new but it is largely original. Especially it’s weapons. Also it isn’t very part separated. Lots of stickers and lots of painting. It is great though despite being pretty old👌🏻

Playing this guy in Gundam Universe and then maxing out its stats and then blitz around supersonic one-shotting all enemies, what more fun than this guy right here? Mudrock best RX BOI
I kind of get why the arms turn- it is a classic for GM kai/type c to have a pose like that. It helps to make the arms look thicker, since the armor at the bottom is brought towards the edge of the silhouette. That also creates a more dynamic 'standing up straight in the hanger' style pose. Flexing muscles, basically. But... the GM Kai gets this effect using just a basic arm swivel. I am sure the game had some poses like that, but this was not a good choice for the kit.
Lemeres it's also probably because they may intend to retool the kit into the Alex as this version of the Murdock shares far more elements with the gundam Alex than any other version
I think if you snip that extra diagonal of white plastic, you'll get better articulation. But, I don't know how much of the aesthetics it will sacrifice

I noticed it goes with two stickers for the eyes and one is red. Does that mean it has a system similar to the EXAM and HADES or is it just an extra option?
Mudrock was never equipped with HADES or EXAM, no mobile suit other than the blue destiny’s and Pale riders had those, it has red eyes cus that’s what it always has in video games.

The grey parys on the arms ARE Grenade launchers! They just don't have the functional gimmick on the HG.

Literally older HG’s like the GM Quel and GM Custom have the same Shield but have better color separation

The reason behind the forearm swivel is so you can flip it 180° when you pose it shooting from the grenade launchers so they are on top of the forearm

Huh, I remember the eyes being red. At least in SD G generation Genesis/Overworld had it red as well as Gundam Assault survive. Also to anyone else who owns Mudrock, can anyone look into the Kit's manual see what material the joints are using? It doesn't seem like it's ABS.

I noticed it goes with two stickers for the eyes and one is red. Does that mean it has a system similar to the EXAM and HADES or is it just an extra option?
Mudrock was never equipped with HADES or EXAM, no mobile suit other than the blue destiny’s and Pale riders had those, it has red eyes cus that’s what it always has in video games.
Where i can buy this kit?
