I tried this on my white flats and it really does work. I’m still waiting on them to dry but they definitely look better than they did. The only thing is if you have yellow stains or a more stubborn stain then you need to just keep applying more on the spots until you start to see them disappear. I applied the mixture multiple times more than he did in the video before the shoes were fully dry and it did not damage my shoes. The stains just gradually disappear.
Nah I like my shoes to look new, even if they’re a year old. Especially my white trainers. I literally just use a white bar of soap, scrub it all over the damp shoes, then use a toothbrush and scrub them for like 10 minutes until it’s all foamy, dirty and gross looking. Then I pour hot water on them and repeat the process a couple more times and they look good as new. I’ve been doing that for years with all my trainers (only fabric ones) and none of them have ever suffered, and I do this like twice a month or whenever I have new stains that might be hard to get out. If you clean your shoes regularly, dirt is less likely to build up and stay there. Regular old bar soap 👌🏽 gets rid of dirt, grease, germs and formulated so it’s not harmful for your skin, so there’s no harsh chemicals in it like peroxide that will eventually damage them over time... Another thing I like to do is pour hot water inside them and add some fabric conditioner and soak them overnight. I can literally wear a pair of trainers for 2 years, still looking and smelling fresh. Treat your shoes good, because if you’ve heard the saying “you can tell a person by their shoes”, I live by that, and you literally can.

Great video! One tip (just because I am super into sneakers), try using that method first. Then, go use blue detergent. Blue somehow intensifies the color of white. Use a brush and scrub it out and see what happens :) you might have to do it a couple of times though...
This method works, but if you want better results, you need to do it more than 2 times. Not sure if I would leave them outside thou lol. I left my dirty white shoes in my shower when dried, let it soak for half a day, then let it air day for 14 hours. Got most stains out using a similar method.

For those looking for an alternative: You can use a dishwasher to wash your shoes. While this may not be as effective, it's another way to clean your shoes without damaging them. Also, of course leaving your shoes out to dry instead of putting them in a tumble dryer is probably better for your shoes' health.
Be careful not to use too much baking soda. I’ve done this twice before and both time the shoes became yellow. You need to dry the shoe as soon as you can after you brush them or the baking soda will seep into the fabic and damage it. You can put them in a dryer on cold so that they dry fast but the heat from the dryer doesnt damage the shoe

DON'T TRY THIS! IT DOESN'T WORK! I applied this mixture onto my white trainers ( My trainers were already white, but I wanted to make them just a bit cleaner). I followed the steps and when I finished cleaning them, I left them outside. Instead of my trainers turning white, it was discoloured and was a yellow greenish colour. I tried fixing them by scrubbing it, it wasn't working, I decided to leave them outside a little bit longer and instead my white trainers turned a bright yellow colour. That was £60 down the drain.

Brushing the shoes with (white) colgate and a few drops of dawn dish washing soap also works very well.

I just watch them with soap and water and brush them and let it dry and mine comes much whiter than yours.

So anyway i can turn to RUclips and try the best video, comment section, or just return the shoes. lol
