It's a good idea to wash the sneakers with soap and water first too... dish detergent and warm water or laundry detergent and warm water work well. They will become whiter if any loose dirt is removed before using baking soda or toothpaste.

It's so strange you see everywhere to combined vinager (an acid) with baking soda (a base). They cancel each other out completely and leave behind salt. So you end up cleaning with salt. Stop mixing acids and bases guys! Tho, you can clean with vinager, and AFTER with baking soda, or vice versa. Just not at the same time.

Another two products you can use together to get them white is Vinegar & Baking soda. That is a great whiter for light color rugs as well. Really hope this help. 🙏🏽

Hi Stephanie. I just (tried to clean) white canvas sneakers with white vinegar and bleach. Hmph🥴 No cigar. I am going to use Colgate. I saw you let it dry. After drying, do you brush the toothpaste off? No rinsing?
BTW, I tried it on 1shoe first I have 2 pair.
Thank you very much for the video.

When it comes to white shoes always buy 2 pair of the same shoe....one to wear all the time, one to go out in . Hopefully, you can get some mileage out of the pair you wear all the time before no amount of cleaning can help. Than you still have your goin out white shoes that are fresh ta deaf! 😉
