❤ Ive had quite a few comments on this video thinking I didn't do this myself... honeys this was 100% done at home by me, and my younger sister trimmed my ends! At the time I filmed this there were no hair salons open anyway (although I haven't actually been to a hair salon in 3+ years!) One year later my hair is still recovering from the damage bleaching it 3x in a short period of time, but it was the only way I could achieve the end result (alongside the knight and wilson pureplex which I didn't actually realise also has a lifting agent in oopsie!) I hope this has helped some of you... bleach your hair at your own risk but I still love how this turned out and id love to go back to blonde again someday!! I just need my hair to grow out and recover first 😅💕
Tip: always start in the back so then when you reach your crown, you can rinse. Then do your roots in the back. While the roots in the back develop, you can work on the sides. Then your roots on the sides. Rinse after 30 minutes, then retouch or use toner.
@@applepiez5607 you dont wanna do roots immediatelly cause it would lift to bright...you want to keep your roots a bit darker (shadow) - thats why doing it latest
Screenshotting this comment. Thank you for this important tip. I always struggle with dyeing my own hair bc I am afraid of it lol I'm terrified it will fall out 🤣 so I end up rinsing it out b4 it's time and that makes like the colors so uneven. It's almost embarrassing. But I still can't afford to go to a professional. But thank you for the tip ❤️❤️❤️
Definitely not a fail! Brad calls so many things fails then acts shocked when it looks good. He's not the nicest tbh, it can be super fun and easy to do hair at home but ofc he wants to suggest otherwise bc he wants people to pay him up the yinyang for the same services lol.
What does Brad have to do with this. He acknowledges when he sees what he thought was going to be a fail ends up a success. He's always professional and if I ever did any hair videos myself, I wouldn't care if all my hair fell out! As long as Brad saw it, told me everything I did wrong and made me laugh my ass off, I'd be happy for life!

Your hair looks amazing and it suits you very well. This video made me bleach my orange hair. (I had all the same reactions when I first tried) but watching this made me feel it is perfectly normal. I'm happy with how my hair turned out ☺️🤗thanks so much
I think it’s looks lovely. It really suits you ! I have dark eyebrows and I’m naturally blonde. Your eyebrows don’t look that dark or strange against your hair. You’ve done a lovely job. I’ve gone brunette 6 weeks ago and starting to really miss my platinum blonde hair. Your hair has come out a beautiful multi tonal blonde . This is making me what to go back blonde again, the. I’ll feel like me again. Thank you for this video 😊xx
This is EXACTLY the video I have been waiting for. Thank you so much for going through the steps and the products. I can't wait to get started. You look amazing by the way. I think the colour absolutely suits you. You look very Nordic ;) New sub here!
I think you did a great job and look great with that colour! I do the same with my hair and I do notice that once I darken/colour tape my roots, everything just blends and looks more natural. Sometimes, I like the striking bright blonde roots and sometimes I don't! LOL. Thanks for the vid.
Hairdresser here.... Next time, section before you mix up your product! The product starts oxidising once it's mixed so if not used straight away you're losing maximum lightening effect. Other than that... Good job!
it looks incredible on you, in my opinion I definitely think its your colour. I have naturally light brown hair and when I decided to go full platinum it took me a couple of weeks to get used too but now I love it, and I think as a guy with my hair length and style I think it suits better than if I had really short hair.
What matters most, in my opinion, is how long it's left on. Have to be so careful with bleach. I damaged mine so bad using 20 vol but I left it on too long so the bleached pieces were fried. :( Ugh, lesson learned. Learn from me!
I was wondering how I did this too... I used oops! Color remover to get my red out then I used a bleach box from dollar general before going to Walmart to get SPLASH bleach kit and everyone keeps asking me how I have such healthy looking hair even tho I dye it/ bleach it every few montha
Heya guys just a really big warning for box dyes from a person who studies hairdressing xx it's very important you avoid box dyes incase they contain metalic salts. Metalix salts are used for the oxidising process for the dyes and is used cause its a cheap ingredient so its usually in box dyes. Metalic salts are very reactant. If you have pre existing box dye colour in your hair and try mix it with any products in a salon aka if you wanna go get your hair done. If an incompatibility test isn't done before dying again or bleaching or using any form of peroxides you have a very high chance of DISINTAGRATING YOUR HAIR and causing chemical burns on your scalp. So just check to see if the box dye contains metalic salts by doing an incompatibility test xx. To do this test take some of the pre existing box dye colour which has already been placed on a sample of hair and place this hair sample in a solution mixed using 6vol peroxide and a little bit of perm lotion x if within 15 mins the hair starts to fizz or heats up or bubbles then please please avoid the box dyes xx
That colour suits you . You look fab I have diyed my hair blonde many times with damage . But this colour you used is amazing. I'm literally doing it. I already ordered that colour 😍
I've bleached my hair from black, brown and auburn many times and the best method is to bleach, apply a very greyish ash blonde, bleach again and then use purple shampoo.
I know it seems so simple: but I love how you used one hand for painting/smudging, etc, and the other strictly to separate. I always end up getting bleach all over my gloves (both) and transferring it to places I never wanted bleach to start with SMH! I am just inpatient and need to slow down...LOL I also want to go higher up on my head, but I don’t want to overprocess my ends. I appreciate this video showing me it can be done, and to expect orange the 1st time!! LOL I’m going to rewatch a couple times.
You are so sweet and a beautiful soul. Thank you for taking the risks for us! I’m glad that it turned out for you before your birthday. I hope it was a good one! Now I miss my daughters. I’ll see if they want to come help their mom come turn my hair platinum before the grey claims my brunette hair all by themselves. 😂 accepting my age and welcoming it with a positive attitude and confidence like you possess. I can’t wait to watch the link when you pull down the dark. I’m watching that next! Cheers from California.
Like your results. I can't help but wonder how your hair felt afterwards. I had some bleach put into my dark brown hair one time at a salon, basically it was highlights even thoughI wanted balayage, but my hair felt like straw for months, and it barely lightened my hair.
Hi when you used the PUREPLEX would you say you still had some orange / yellow in your hair? I’ve been struggling to get orange tones out of mine ( bleached it 4times, used various toner and even FANOLA no orange and still no good ) so I was wondering if this product would help ? Thank you

I just went through the same thing with the bleaching and it turning yellow and dark oranges in some parts…I got a medium blonde box that I wanted to do in a couple days if that’ll work getting rid of the super white and dark spots?
