This is a fantastic phone, I bought the matte version with the 6000 mah battery, man I love this thing, I got the case and screen protector with it as well.
The battery life has been insane for me! Definitely a great device
@@ChrisPanton i was thinking the same, i had over 7 hrs SOT yesterday, and was off the charger from 7:00 that morning to 12:00 midnight and I still had a little over 40% left over for battery
Ya! At work I got like 1hr sot for every 10% battery, ended up at home with 60% left
same! the back of the phone is so soft

@@ChrisPanton surely bro. U need to plug in any fan accessories while charging. Because it's a bit warm. But while gaming,u dont need that because it's only around 35 - 36 C on temperature .

Awesome phone and I bought this over the S23 Ultra. Only thing I was questioning was some little white light on the right hand side of the screen in portrait mode but it seems this is on all the models. Also i tried to have my apps 5 and 6 wide on the launcher but it only does the apps 4 wide.
Beautiful, powerful, cheap in considering.
Please do the detailed review, would like to now about its connectivity features. Redmagic devices are known for its connectivity issues. Also do the battery drain test
I plan to! Battery drain is very slow. It can easily be a 2 day phone

Hi, just wanna ask if you can double tap to turn on and double tap to turn off?, coming from a note 10 I'm used to samsungs little enhancements, but this phone is making me move away from note series. Your unboxing is very helpful as it shows what the red magic is capable off apart from the obvious gaming experience.
You can tap to wake the screen or lift to wake the screen. Using a different launcher you can double tap the home screen to lock the screen
Can't double tap to turn screen off. There's a lock screen shortcut though

Already ordered mine and waiting. Could you please help test (i) navigation gesture to see if the content will fill the bottom area, (ii) audio quality of RUclips, Spotify or Google Podcast when connecting to Bluetooth earphones as others say there is no bass/equalizer at all without the help of Game Space, (iii) if the front camera shows green/red stripes when the brightness drops to 20%, (iv) 4G/5G network receipt in the US, and (v) if text/email/app notifications will show the box at the top of the display and you are able to access the app directly by clicking on these. Many thanks!
1) I have the navigation bar turned off, but apps do fully fill the screen into that navigation area. When using Gboard it doesn't fill down to the bottom and can see content below
2) I'll have to test BT audio
3) I'll test this and talk about it in a camera video
4) I get Verizon service and 5g even
5) no pop-up notifications for apps appear, just an icon in the status bar unfortunately. Frustrating for sure

There's a very shallow green tint I think in dark places with low brightness in the front cam. Mine is very faint I barely notice it unless I really look at it.

question to ask i have a iPhone 12 pro max and i wanted to get red magic 8 pro in the void color unlocked. for the usa and i live in utah would it be able to work on any phone carriers. or is it worth it to go to a gaming phone to play games on. and like the display battery life and other things a gaming phone can do. also how much is it for the total price or shipping cost between the matte black red magic 8 pro. or the void color option just am wondering and curious.

Im on Verizon and get LTE and 5g as well (no mmwave of course). Their site has the specs with all the LTE band compatibility
@@ChrisPanton ok I checked with verzion and that and I can get 4 or 6 of the bands to get lte or 4g and I don’t have 5g for me. Is it worth it to get the phone for the money that it costs.
Well considering I haven't fully tested the phone quite yet. The battery is amazing as are the speakers. There's a lot of little software nuances coming from Pixel that are frustrating but nothing that's unusable.
If you're looking for just a gaming phone this ticks all the boxes. Cameras probably aren't amazing like Pixel, iPhone or Samsung are
ok alright for the cameras I don’t care a lot about. i just want a good gaming phone. that can last all day and be able to playing serval games. on a full screen notch less thin bezel display.

Does it already have a screen protector on it? I have Verizon and was considering acquiring the phone, but I'm not sure because I read on Reddit that it works, but has issues receiving photos, which is fine with me.
It has a clear plastic film applied out of the box. I use Verizon and service worked.
@@ChrisPanton That's incredible! When you inserted your SIM card, did you have any issues? Do you receive 4G or 5G? And are you having any problems with text messages or phone calls?
I did receive 5g as well. Texts worked. Idk if it was the phone, service or Bluetooth but sometimes the other person stopped hearing me but then they could.
@@SlowedFalcon No issues after inserting my SIM. Phone calls worked, MMS quality was pixelated but sms worked fine.

There's more to consider than just battery life with this question. I think yes the red magic has better battery. But software support, cameras the iPhone wins.

The back on the void version is ugly. Matte looks much more appealing. Awesome phone, gonna buy it soon
It's not everyone's cup of tea. But the RGB helps add to the look and notification lights.

the issue with the green tint appearing on the selfie camera .. can you see? if it is visible? or they fixed in the later units? software or hardware issue? cuz it beats the purpose of having under display camera
this is the only thing which held me back to buy 😳
So I went to a lit room, turned the brightness on the screen really dim and see no difference compared to a bright screen.
In a dark room you barely can see yourself. Camera overall isn't the strongest

I just dont need the selfie camera .. coming from oneplus 7 pro .. i love my phone, the selfie camera on this phone is motorized which i never use it .. i just love the full display edge to edge .. and RM8 pro is the one i love now .. just ordered!! i hope the selfie camera green tint doesnt bother me 🙄

there's only a few things missing to make this the perfect phone, all it needs is a IR blaster, QHD+ display, e-sim support, wireless charging, SD card slot & a few improvements to the software to truly make it better than any Galaxy that Samsung will make!
QHD is only good for VR. The Human eye can't tell the difference on a 6inch Display of FHD vs QHD. Seriously I have switched back and forth and couldn't tell the difference. Maybe if I held the phone 3 inches from my eyes.
It really comes down to the quality not the Pixels with 1080p.
I always lower the res to 1080p to save Battery. However Refresh Rate is definitely important
Plus Idk if games even actually use that res
Wireless charging is so crap tho....

This phone does not work on most US networks. Do not buy until it gets whitelisted on your carrier. Its a door stop on my desk.

I'm using mine on Verizon and didn't need to do any whitelisting. With TMobile or att you don't need to whitelist, it's an unlocked device.
