Hi Matt. I've got a map of that bunker downloaded over 15 years ago. I used it to follow along with the video, pinpointing where you where in the bunker. It tracked 100% which was satisfying as I'd allways wondered if the map was accurate/genuine. There is one mystery it creates. I could be wrong (it's one of my specialities) but I don't think that big sealed door at the beginning, right next to the hole in the fence, is the emergency exit at the top of the rusted stairs. There's another small building (to the west of the suspected one) in the bushes that seems to track with the map when I overlay it on an aerial photo. I don't do any urbex myself, I just live locally and have had a mild obsession with the bunker ever since I learned of it's existence. All I'd had up to now was a handful of photos from some guys that went down there in 2007, but I couldn't track them to my map and couldn't really work out where the photos where taken. As such I got SO SO SO much from this video,. So much. You absolute legend 🤜💥🤛
Matt, on the letter you found referring to a UFO like Skyship there was a name and this could be Geoffrey Pardoe. He was the project manager for the Blue Streak ballistic missile programme 1956-60 and setup General Technology Systems in 1973. There is a video on youtube, flying saucer - colour showing it doing a test flight inside an old R101 hangar in 1975. It was designed by engineer John West, but never made it past the scaled down 30ft prototype stage. The full scale model was intended to be 200ft in diameter.
There were always rumours when I was younger, about 20 years ago, that there was a bunker here but we couldn’t find a way in. This is awesome that I now know that these rumours were true and that my favourite RUclipsr has explored it!! Thanks Matt!!! 😊
Forgot to comment when I watched it a couple days ago: Fantastic video Matt! This bunker is in great condition! It was amazing when you got the lights working!! 😂
Hey Matt . Wish you could have taken a closer look at that container with the Oxidizer Placard showing . UN # ' s are very interesting . For Safety Sake .
At 36:18, Black pipe also used for air intakes for Pipe Organ Blowers. And that vertical wood box sitting on the floor to the left of the black pipe, (also again at 36:27) that looks rather like an offset chest for bass organ pipes.
Ah, and I found this information on at site about former radar sites around the UK, it states: "The site is secure and underground visits are not permitted." 🤣 Yes, secure and visits not permitted.... "check that box!" 🤣
Flash primer is normallly.a bitumin based substanced...used for water proofing roofs or cellars etc in preparation for a. Top a layer of something more substantial.
I did this one, must of been before this video because when i went the hole in the wall was smaller, it was really hard to get though. The bungalow is owned by BT, and the bunker is owned by a farmer, thats why the door was sealed. Apparently someone when in through the airvent and cut the hinges to the door and it fell on them. You can see where the hinges were cut. The bunker was also used as a nightclub but closed due to health and safety.
Were these ‘rotor bunkers’ the 12 regional sort? There’s one here in York on the A19 that also had living quarters build for it, but in private hands now so much be in good nik
There was live power to some lights in main tunnel down.theres lives cables on the floor behind a large door. I saw in video a fewdays ago. I never got to see the blocked door up the stairs as the last video didn't venture to far. Vacant haven videogreat video as normal matt, but it was nice surprise to find power.
Strange reaction Matty?-It really was a club; Im a local, born and bred, have siblings who went there when it was a club, and a fire in there was in the local paper. It was back in the 70's. Its documented in many places. @@TheSecretVault
Can you send me some details of the fire. @@elcorado83. I would say it was a deathrap placew to have a nightclub down there... no fire escapes... Id say it would never get allowed under fire regs... but I would love to be proved wrong. Now free parties yeah I coudl understand that... but i would doubt a licensed club.
Brilliant explore! Fair play for turning the power on, I would have tried it too. You just need to watch out, anything metal could now be live and “duh I’ve got rubber soled shoes on” isn’t going to help if you’ve got one hand on a metal door and the other on some scaffolding that’s got a wire touching it.
Great explore, just watched another video from the same place the other day so i knew the lights worked 😀. You should bring a voltage detector while exploring such places btw, it'll cost you a tenner and could save your life.
See? Like I said, hardly anyone from my city knows about it though that could be because few people are born here, most come from other places to move here.
They know if a supply is or was being provided/supplied to a property, and if it's been capped off / (if its no longer needed or required) but is pretty easy to get around that if you know how to safely, which the electricity company won't be able to tell their end that electricity is being drawn from a capped supply. The supply cables will be live still up to a certain point in most cases
Well I know EXACTLY where this one is for a change!! My hometown...! The funny thing is that NOBODY who lives in my town knows about it and looks at you like you are crazy if you mention it! There used to be a WHOLE military base directly south of it, and there are STILL many "unusual" installations and buildings along that route that I wish you would check out...! As for this one, it was bought and converted into a night club for a time, but had a fire so was left in rough shape.
@@Gaggle_of_gays they may have moved back but you could be right which could explain the less than high quality edit from Matt, he just wanted it out there quick

yes baloons for long distance travel... quite sketchy though. Hindenburg Zeppelin didnt do very well.

Well that was Illuminating love a good Bunker standard slope entrance a la Kelvedon Hatch thanks Matt
at least you left the kids at home for this explore. 😁😁
YES. That’s a very good thing. I enjoy the videos much more when they’re not around. I despise those little bastards.
Something to watch whilst I'm on the bus to Corsham 😂
You should of took a photo next to the no smoking sign and blew your vape smoke lol
Always nice to see a good rotor bunker 😊
Brilliant as always Matt 💯
Liquid nitrogen or a portable blow torch work best on padlocks lol hah 😂 compared to a cordless grinder as they make noise
Thanks Matt. A great watch 👍
Another great vid Matt 👍
Anyone know if they got busted or did it just get abandoned?
if busted the police would take all the equipment

Owned by a professor down in Cambridge apparently, let’s a few select in each year.
Loving the voice over work in the intro you sound great. cant wait to watch this ..
In the end of the video there is a camping toilet. Probably used by the person who tended to the crop.
That heavy door that's off its hinges deleted someone apparently. The random paperwork is from when it was partly used for storage I think.
another brilliant explore love these old bunkers thanks for sharing matt enjoyed this, well done, look forward to yr next upload x
wow good explore matt just think some one could live in there with the power on free lol
The flying saucer thing is weird and surely should be archived by someone

it's definitely speaker wire

Its literally air ducting…….nothing to do with a grow at all!!! Ducting doesn’t automatically meen grow room…..it means an air supply is needed

Whilst I love these videos they really do expose how much money was and is wasted by our government
Go around tha Bach there a block wall with a hole in it at the bottom ok
YOU NEED A CURCIUT TESTER ADDED TO YOUR URBEX KIT, THE AMOUNT OF TIMES YOU HAVE COME ACROOS WIRING THAT COULD BE LIVE, WOULD BE SAFER TO KNOW.
I would argue an N99 face mask also as so many have bad mold and were often built with loads of asbestos on the walls.
FLUKE VOLTAGE TESTER. non contact
