Not just the Chinese kits, Kotobukiya pretty much did exactly that with their Nine Tails and Bandai actively encourages you to stick 47 HGCE kits to your 30 minute sister.
It's an objectively stupid looking design with the leg wings that make her flip over the second she tries to fly. Super cringe looking. Kit is ok if you throw those away or fix it by putting the wings on her back where they belong and look less stupid.
I'm relatively new to these figmas, but, where do yall get those "weapon" bases? Since her weapon is so huge and heavy, I would love to pose her using it but I dunno where to look. xd
I love the Godz Order series. The characters in this series were designed by Akiman, who designed e.g. Turn A Gundam and mecha from Code Geass. The mini artbook is also a great addition.
The designer Akira Yasuda designed Chun-Li,Overman Gainar and G-self. Yuri just reminds me of princes Dianna from Turn A Gundam which the character design was also done by Yasuda
I like these kits quite a bit, but the one thing I can't see beyond is how odd the knees, and elbows look on the normal limbs. They just look super disjointed compared to other lines like Megami device. Might have to try to kitbash this one.
I love the design aesthetic of this kit and I think it executes the medieval sci-fantasy look well. However, the gigantic winged greaves look so out of place to me. It's like a dark souls min-maxer that only had enough weight capacity to equip one piece of heavy armor used the lightest armor possible to fill out the rest of the slots. If she had more armor elsewhere (like frame arms girl Durga) or the greaves were proportioned more realistically, it wouldn't look so disjointed from the rest of the design.
I remember seeing this many months ago. The only thing I remembered was her armored leggings (I wanted to use the wings in a kitbash for something.) and her cute puffy cheeks. Maybe I should get my hands on one, but my backlog has gone embarrassingly untouched 😔
I wasn't going to get this kit as I am not a fan of the bulky legs, but she looks pretty good with the regular legs so... might have to pick her up after all!
i like that the thighs seem to be thicker than most standard musume kits. some of the newer koto kits are also starting to come with the thicker kind too, which is a good thing. couldnt get into the chinese musume kits because they feel too skinny
I would buy this as an ASSEMBLED figure. I don't want to pay money if I have to do the WORK. I already have a job, and building my toys shouldn't be one of them.
This kit is absolutely beautiful and has its own aesthetic that stands out so good among the other mecha mesume lines. It doesnt feel like some random girl with robo bits haphazardly thrown together. It isnt a Michael Bay clusterf*ck of a design and you can see with the world they created it somewhat feels like a natural design that would somewhat make sense. I think imma get this to stand along with a LED Mirage kit i'll be getting since they are very similar. Plus i appreciate the lack of unnecessary lewdness on the design as im getting sick of seeing the same,'random generic looking chick in underwear with mecha arms and legs'. (Btw i dont mind lewdness, just be creative with it which the majority of mecha mesume characters fail at.)
"Michael Bay clusterf*ck", lol. Somehow my brain started imagining a guy had seggs with a MACK truck and the truck excreted a mecha musume baby from the exhaust.
Omg it’s a Templar girl! I need to get one
get one!
Def a nice, refined esthetic compared to some of the Chinese ones that look like someone glued 47 SEED kits to a doll.

@@rokushou nah

Looks great! Thanks for the review!
pretty 😀
God both of them in my backlog, I loved the look of them, but after your review, I am excited to start them!!!
Haven't watched FSS but she's making me think of those kits.
Oh wow. I should get these.
👏👏👏👏👏
The more pre-painted rubber shirt looks really good and make this kit stands out.
That's one cool looking kit, and it comes with a short story in the builders manual.
I misread her name as "Yuri Ghostbuster" which itself makes an awesome name for her, lol.
Akiman dont miss
also hg YF19 review when?
Reminds me of Alexander from Code Geass
More refers to Dianna Soreil from Turn A Gundam
ちょっと待ってくれ、パンツのパーツの紹介がないぜ?
そうですよ
How tall is she compared to gunpla kits?
She's 1/12 scale (height of a figma or most japanese figures) which is basically 1/144.

I love that detailed Lenneth Valkyrie ish +Crusader look on her. The soft plastic/pvc? is a plus for minus the hindrance in articulation.

The bare skin arms do look particularly… muscular? Sort of odd compared to how they normally look

I think (if its even compatible) the greaves from kotobukiya's bullet knights might look hella nice on them.
Yeah they really dropped the ball with the dumb as hell leg armor.
Love the unique take on the knight themed kit. Do you think the MSG cloak could fit on this kit?
Praise the -thicc leg- ...
Oops, I mean praise the Sun
that's looks dope! i more like this more than mechs girls designs
I like the godzorder line as well. I think they’re pretty unique and has a nice fantasy design.
Got both the white and black one already 😁

Go on a diet.
This is the 1st "girl kit" I've ever considered getting.

You missing the point of this then

@@First-Name_Last-Name that is one of the most disturbing images you've made my brain conjure up.
I hate you lmao 🤣

None of the other ones feel haphazard unless you have poor visual discernment.
