this guy is continually blowing my mind. I mean only one sleeve?! And its a double sleeve too. This man isnt just a genius. He's a revolutionary!
AnguzBeef hahahaha
AnguzBeef All about the sleeves. I know that's what I came for. Dunno about you.
AnguzBeef No bandanna...so he had to make up for it with magic sleeves.
+AnguzBeef I used to do this all the time cuz the sleeve will interfere in some ways :)
I could definitely see that...especially with a harp guitar. There's a lot of string there.
Still one of the best songs he's ever written, IMHO
I had the pleasure of meeting Antoine Dufour and Andy McKee in Georgia. Got to say, those guys are awesome. They took time to chat with me and my friends after the show and signed all of our merchandise. We even convinced them to take an ugly face picture! I never expected them to be so approachable and down to earth, just judging from how talented they are.
Thanks for being a great person and such a talented musician, Antoine!
Yes. They are not "stars" with that arrogant mentality. Just great musicians plain and simple.
The Least Likely Gents I met Andy McKee at a Denver show back in 2009 and Antoine Dufour just a couple of months ago here in Phoenix. They're both very humble, just really good guys. Best thing about the Phoenix show is, it was literally right up the street from me! So cool! If I could post a picture here of meeting him I would.
I’d like to think Michael Hedges is just jamming along and loving this track in the heavens❤
I witnessed Michael Hedges play live 3 times (and have spent untold hours listening to his published music). Michael will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my few, true heroes, but as I watch and listen and learn more about Antoine, he stands right there next to Michael, weaving the same sort of magic, sharing his own vision of heart and soul and acoustic beauty, letting me continue that journey of gratitude and awe. Incredible.
I’m glad you said this because I have always felt Michael was the original pioneer and not many conjured the same atmosphere and soul he did but this section at 2:30 is just a harmonic masterpiece, i Definately think Michael would more than approve 🤍
This is my favorite song from Convergences, hands down. I love the way it completely breaks/slows down into a closing and then completely comes back up out of it. Wonderful piece of music.
Magnificent!
I'm talking about the player, Antoine Dufour, a true Master, and Duane Noble, who built that perfect harp guitar to make this music possible. All around, thrilling!
When I read "Tribute to Stephen Bennett" in the description, I became very worried. I checked, and he's not dead, so that's good.
Also, good job on playing. That, too.
His music makes me feel like I really exist. Like I'm really alive and in this world experiencing everything. It makes me think. It makes me almost sad that I haven't been paying enough attention to life. But it makes me happy at the same time. It makes me feel good and like I can do whatever I want in life. It makes me realize I need to try harder. I need to get out there. Be myself. See the world. And do what I enjoy. Time moves so slowly but it seems so fast. Thanks to his music I have awoken
I'll have to admit, it took me a few listens to get used to the strangeness of the harp guitar's sound. But now that I've listened to Convergences a dozen times over, I think this is one of, if not my favorite track on the album. I just love it.
There are a lot of subtlety's you pick up on upon repeat listens that once you hear them it really makes the whole sound of these guitars come together.
Harmonics on the harp strings! Never Before Seen!!!!
This is still my favourite one. The one I always come back to. Thanks for the masterpiece, Antoine.
I'm happy to live near Stephen, and his concerts are just amazing. You get that same calm sound in your music Antoine! I can hear every bit of influence that Stephen has had on this piece, it is absolutely marvelous.
can you please recommend me some Stephen Bennett songs that sound like this?
You make me cry with your song. Thank's man! Love you song! (Brazilian here).
Tout l'art qu'est la musique est partagé à travers ces mélodies, cette technique. Merci pour faire vivre ces valeurs.
Not a huge fan of Harp-Guitars, but anything Antoine touches is gold. And this is still yet another masterpiece.
Take the time to go see him play Live people . Beautiful music with passion driven perfection !
This is one of my favorite pieces of yours Antoine.
I feel more people need to see and hear this song.
I can't wait to share the stage together in August!
Antoine... every time I see a new video, you blow my mind, simply awesomeeee !!!
I keep watching and listening this piece again and again (both vision and hearing are important). That's been a couple years now and it does not get old. This is simply brilliant.
I've been playing for 40 year. Thought I had seen and herd it all. You are something different, something new, something great. God Bless
The way these sounds hit the ear is just amazing. The mastery of Antoine is equally impressive.
jesus christ antoine dufour ist just a genius normally every artist got like 1 or 2 maybe 3 good songs but this boy rocks the whole playlist :DD
i been listening to your music for 5 years now,i still enjoy it like the first time i heard it,thats how you know real talent when you hear it,keep jammin my friend.
Candy Rat acoustic musicians are all I listen to now. Michael Hedges, Andy McKee, Antoine Dufor, and many others, all these people make music so much more interesting than anyone else I've ever heard. It's just so beautiful, no words can describe...
I could listen to this song all day... So so good! Absolute genius with those harmonics as well...
sooo glad he made a video for this one. such an epic song. one of his best i'd say.
Awesome song from an awesome musician on an awesome instrument
why don't people get the fact that this is a harp guitar? it's gorgeous looking! it sounds beyond amazing.
Isn't it called a Guitharp?
All it can do is everything except brass and woodwind. That's a lot.
Really love this tune, Antoine! Stephen is awesome and what a tribute this is!
Great composition, sound, everything. Thank You.
Fully mesmerizing in its beauty. Another triumph Antoine! Thank you!
Antoine... Not only is your playing extremely focused and technical but it's totally moving. As a drummer, I never feel there is no pulse when you play. You make use of the whole instrument. My Porcupine Tree Station on Pandora helped me find you. You are a true gift and I have turned so many people on to you. I am so grateful to have found your art.

How many more Gems do you have hidden in those archives? You are magnificent Antoine and my heart sings when your Gems are shared by my U.K. Angel BEing. He too is a Master of his Guitar's. Simply Amazing. My Heart was in need of a fix--and I opened my Gift-Link today when it was soooo needed. Love to you Mr. Antoine Dufour. YOU ARE SO AMAZING ANTOINE!!
Gigantic guitar sound, and gigantic talent. I play guitar, but with all the fabulous players out there who aren't getting much attention, I ask myself, why?
Beautiful.
awesome :D harmonic is just like an angelic sound hahaha i like it so much
Beautiful!
According to Antoine's website, he uses a K&K trinity system which is a mic and a three head transducer. It definitely sounds amazing, I have to get one for my guitar haha :)
Antoine, you are absolutely the best fingerstyle guitarist ever. :)
There's an internal pickup and mic in the guitar (K&K, i think that's what Antoine uses). There might be some mics off camera, also.
Oh yea Antoine news vids! As always, awesome.
love the harmonics man
Beautiful
For anyone wondering about the guitar's make, pretty sure that's a Duane Noble harp guitar.
you got a new subscriber! amazing amazing!
Beautiful tune, the end is awesome. The name is a bit of a mystery though, because this song is anything but. :)
The case for these harp guitars must be enormous. Can you imagine stringing that beast?
You are a natural, I have to admit it yoh listen to the same albums me and my farther has he has many Gentle Giant, Porcupine Tree, Genisis (when Hacket was with them at the time) Return to Forever, Ozric Tenticles and many other awesome stuff like Kenso
