the sisters have been one of my favourite bands for more than half my life. y'know what else i like? you sisters fans. you seem a really good bunch (by their comment you shall know them. lol). aced it. best regards...
This recording and "Something Fast," I think, were the B-side of "When you don't see me" - the one with the neon-colored cover. Better than the studio version, and that is great. Tought to beat!
@@breakfaust - Yep. :( FWIW, my oldest scion Sage is very much into Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Siouxsie, Faith and the Muse, Seraphim Shock, and all the other stuff we were privileged to hear when it first came out; they've also introduced me to In This Moment and a few other newer bands.
@@breakfaust - I discovered them a couple of years ago (rather belatedly) - they're AMAZING. Also a postpunk group from Turkey called She Past Away, who I really hope wasn't impacted too horribly by the recent earthquake.
@@StevesUnemploymentPIN - As a touring outfit (I had to look them up in Wikipedia). No new studio work in a long time, which could be the reason I'd assumed they disbanded. I suppose touring is better than nothing at all. Thanks for getting me curious enough to Google them.
@@SerafinDrake Andrew fell out with the studio 200 years ago and as per their contract, had to release music as Sisters Of Mercy or not at all. They toured the US in 2023, guarantee you they still "lasted".
@@Ventro69 and @e.talbot9675 - Regardless of Andrew's reasons, Sisters of Mercy hasn't released new material in a very, VERY long time. They've become a touring band for those of us who miss our youth. Nostalgia for geri-goths. For some people, that counts as "still around." I'm not one of those people. If they enjoy touring and reliving their glory days, good for them. If their fans enjoy going to concerts, good for them. But there's nothing new or original coming from the Sisters of Mercy anymore. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sisters_of_Mercy#Feud_with_EastWest_Records_(1993%E2%80%931997)
This is the song that got me into the sisters
Love the passion in this one.
Thank you for posting. I may never be able to see them live. This song has So Much Meaning To Me. Beautiful. It's RAW. It's Perfect. Thank you, again.

I have tix for this Halloween. 🎃
They are a bit hit and miss live.

Delightfully creepy, compared to the hard-rock sound of the studio version. I like. :)
