Before i say anything else: make sure to do this in a very well ventilated area or wear a gas mask if you have one. I'm pretty sure some seriously toxic fumes come off of metal when you do this. At the very least do it outside and keep your head away from the smoke- Better safe than heavy metal posioned. Now that's out of the way, I have to say i'm really impressed!! ...and disappointed. Impressed by the level of detail you go into this, and by how smart it is to use damp cotton tips for the area you're working on. And i'm disappointed because there i was, thinking SURELY i was the first genius to come up with this method for etching diy nail stamps and pin making... And here you are doing this years ago! Not only that, but having the method down so pat that you can make a tutorial! Anyway, this is great, thank you for making it

If you have a cutting machine, like a Cricut or Silhouette, you could cut out your own designs. Might take a few tries to get them right because of the small size but so worth it.
I don't see why not 😁 great idea Tiffany 😃 please let me know if you gave it a try and how it's working out and maybe I give it a try and make a video and I would mention you and your great idea thanks so much for watching 💕💕
so instead of doing all that could you just place the nail vinyls on the back of a plate, polish scrap and stamp? I mean if they are good quality stickers they should hold up for a couple if not more uses... then you don't have to play with electricity

1:47 Mark the pink wire for later they say Then clearly burns the gray 🤔😂😂 It's possible it was just next step and just didn't show actually marking pink lol but while watching it my mind went straight to.. 😳wait 🤔 🤦🏼♀️ no that's the gray one not the pink one LMAO 😂🤷🏼♀️
Might be a weird question but I'm wondering if I did the q tip with the salt water if I could remove the AR coating off my polycarbonate lenses? Do you know I would attach the wires if it's even one possible. I got a pair of $700 lenses and I never wore them and now they're not under warranty and I wore two weeks and the AR coating wasn't attached properly so now it's all messed up. And I guess they use salt water to remove the coating but it's also attached in the electrical process so I'm wondering if that will remove it without having to use a plastic scraper and damaging the lenses. I'm also wondering if I could do a similar process to this on the nail stamping plate I got that wasn't etched. I was thinking if I took nail polish and painted the outside that is going to be etched that might be a little bit difficult.
is this electronic erosion? cz you're using NaCl as your conductor, I'm assuming the reaction is an acidic one. especially cz it's metal. but what's the process called? is it regular soldering but w ionic salt on metal?
But when making a video I'll clean the plate with a cotton ball with acetone and to get the streaks off I use a clean cotton ball and then the plate looks like new
Hey Penny, I am just about to try a very similar technique with a 16th century suit of armour that is worth more than my house! If it goes wrong, can I have your address to send you the bill please? 🤣😂🙈 Best wishes from an Englishman in a French forest. 🧐⚒️🇬🇧
@@1981pjt There's a bit of a learning curve with this and I, too, couldn't find any wire strippers so while trying, I cut the wires...a couple times. Holy crap Ms MacGyver over here killing it!! 🤩🤩🤩
This is incredibly brilliant! I wouldn't do it. I would just buy a plate but I am so impressed!

Can a cricut cut relatively thin metal sheets?
Good question. I know the newer ones can do more stuff but don't know about metal.
You are the best! Thanks
Aww thanks so much!! 💕💕
This is amazing, thank you!!
Your welcome and thank you for watching ❤️❤️
Are you low key and electrician by trade.. gurlll you did this 👏

Lol I'm not a electrician lol but I do love making things

That might work for a few times
It's a really low voltage I don't think it would hurt any more than a taser
So efficient. Great!

I don't think it would work because you have to have one of the wires clipped onto the metal you're working with
Amazing
Thank you!

Girl you did plenty! Lol but the stamper doesn’t have to be cleaned between each stamp?
It helps a lot to clean it after using tho but thanks for watching and commenting 💞💞
