    I like how you go through the unboxing, showing the product in its entirety, show the setup and adjustments, and overall give your objective explanations of how the products perform. Great video on this accessory. It would be even more awesome if you could partner with companies to give a discount code for x number of units, say the first 100-500 ordered. That would help you find out how much of a reach they're getting, and help you determine your conversion rate for viewership, thus building your brand.

    Hey Gavin, I have the same setup on a xl650 press. I had some issues with the bullet dropper not always reseting itself (dropping itself down after picking up a bullet). This would result in spilled bullets, not picking up the next bullet or seating the bullets too lightly without over expanding the brass case mouth.
    I fixed the issue by attaching a light tension spring from the top of the dropper assembly via a cap screw that replaced the set screw, to the bottom of the tool head through the tool head hole on station 3(the powder check station op rod hole) to a v shaped piece of wire that holds the spring from coming through the hole. I have my feeder setup on station 3.
    After adding the tension spring it has worked flawlessly. :-) I now noticed as I'm writing this that Mr. Bullet feeder now offers their fix with dual springs for this issue with their own tensioning kit. Now that i know this is avalible, I highly recommend it as it eliminates any issue with the bullet dropper reseting and will provide more force to the bullet pushing it into the case mouth. This will allow the brass to be minimally expanded saving brass life and keeping bullets from falling out/off the case when indexing to the next station.
    You can their product fix here: www.doublealpha.biz/us/dropper-tensioning-spring-assembly
    I love the setup as it works well for me. Thank you for the reloading content you create.
    Hope this helps. Happy reloading :-)

    I love my Mr Bullet Feeder. Kind of a pain to set up but once you get it running it speeds up loading so much. I have the same exact setup as Gavin with the XL750, case feeder, and bullet feeder for 9mm, 223, 308, 45.

    I'm curious if it'll fit and work on a Lee Load Master or 1000 model.

    • @ZhuJo99
      @ZhuJo99 4 года назад

      it's press independend but you will not have enough positions on 1000 as bullet feeder requires bullet feeding die. You can use collator without the DAA die and use Hornady bullet feeding/seating die instead, that will work too.

      I tried 3 different brand funnels: dillion, Double alpha, and shooting sports innovations. The only thing that helped was a little one shot lube on my brass.

    • @ZhuJo99
      @ZhuJo99 4 года назад

      @@mackies9151 That was the first thing I've tried (well, apart that I lube brass with lanolin mix anyway) and it didn't help much.
      Brass sticking problem has been solved only by polishing powder funnel.
      I have to tell that I had same problem with original Dillon powder funnel before I started to use bullet feeder, so it's not a problem of just Mr. Bullet Feeder funnel.

    Is it necessary to have an RCBS die in this setup?

    • @ZhuJo99
      @ZhuJo99 4 года назад

      no and if you are not using powder check, you can crimp and seat in separate steps too. The only downside of seating/crimping in one step is that you can't use powder coated bullet (or it's not recommended) as bullet is being crimped while still die is seating it into proper depth, so it might shave the coating this way. But I think Lee or any other seating/crimp die would work the same way as RCBS.

    If your gonna load on a progressive press the bullet feeder is a must to take advantage of the press

    • @ZhuJo99
      @ZhuJo99 4 года назад

      not so. Certainly nice to have but not a must. Casefeeder is a must, true, but not bullet feeder. Personally I have bullet feeder set up for 9 mm and reload .45 ACP without it, not a problem.

    • @taps_1021
      @taps_1021 4 года назад

      @@ZhuJo99 why buy a progressive without a case feeder . Progressives are to save time and load in large amounts. I am talking about dillion xl presses. Buy once cry once. I loaded for years without a bullet feeder. No more fumbling small bullets like 9mm and 223

    • @ZhuJo99
      @ZhuJo99 4 года назад

      @@taps_1021 learn to read first, please. I was specifically talking about that BULLET feeder is NOT a must. Nice to have, not a must. Casefeeder is a must. But it depends. Dillon 550 is just fine without casefeeder, which I heard is even quite problematic on 550 and does not work for rifle cases.

    • @taps_1021
      @taps_1021 4 года назад

      @@ZhuJo99 this vid is about a bullet feeder. It is a MUST for me. No one is talking about a 550 and that a case feeder is a must. I had a 550 but needed to save time and needed higher volume. A 550 has its place.

    • @ZhuJo99
      @ZhuJo99 4 года назад

      @@taps_1021 yeah but you was talking about case feeder in a post above :). It really depends with bullet feeder. Definitely I can’t imagine to reload without it now, when I have it (3d printed). Especially those tiny .223 bullets are hard to handle by hand. But .45 ACP no problem, as I don’t shoot those that much, so making say, 500 in one sitting no issue and it goes pretty quickly even by hand. I have not bothered to buy another feeding die and funnel for .45 as a price of those can’t be justified by amount of it I reload this caliber. 9 mm, .223 sure.
      We have to recognize two things - nice to have and making whole process easier, and a must.
      Personally I use Hornady 1911 primer tube filler and that is a MUST for me. For somebody else, pickup primer pan would do just fine.
