Cranial nerves were one of my most feared assessments at medical school. So it’s strange that now I’m teaching clinical skills it’s one of my favourite sessions
Dear Dr. James, I love this series of videos. I am currently a dental student in Beirut. Small correction at 4:59, this particular muscle is not the temporalis but the occipitofrontalis muscle. Best regards...
Thank you so much for these videos! I am not a medical student, i am just trying to figure out whats happening to me, i have a very strange condition that no doctor was able to diagnose. Hopefully i will solve the mystery by my self with the help of useful videos like yours, thank you once again!
I'm not trying to be annoying or something but if no doctor was able to diagnose your condition and it might have something to do with muscle twitching or numb feelings etc, look into anxiety symptoms :) maybe you have a physical reaction to a psychological stressor.
@@historychillasmr5623 you are not annoying at all, there is no muscle twitching or numb feelings, most likely is not by a psychological stress, i have this condition for 25 years... thank you for your interest!
@@moralistepudibond Hi, this is interesting... what researchers and at what university you talked about your issue? How you got in contact with them? Many doctors and university professors of neurology have examine my case, unfortunately with no clear diagnose...
@@moralistepudibond Thank you so much for sharing your story! my case is very different but it gave me some ideas, maybe i should contact someone who is more specialized in cases like mine... Hope you will do well and please dont forget that sometimes when science cant help comes God and helps to cure the incurable. We always have to be positive, wish you all the best! Cheers
7:28 Dr James Kelly does this in his CNE with Pat LaFontaine and I was wondering why it wasn't in yours. However, in that case, Pat had suffered trauma which was why the CNE happened in the first place. I would like to ask though, and this could be a future video, what has changed between the CNE performed in that video in 1998 compared to the standard CNE now? I'd personally like to see it as someone who is interested in both how the CNE affects me (hence my comments under the Ocular(?) video) and someone who really enjoys unintentional ASMR, and I wouldn't expect to be alone in that! 😅
I am starting to actually develop a genuine interest in the topic.
Thank you, doctor.

Him and Dr. Hollie Berry are both brilliant but haven't seen Dr. Berry in a long time.
I'd love to see a collaboration with them.
This Dr Hollie Berry is alive yet I never saw a recent video of her on RUclips anymore

I love your videos! They're always something I look forward to, even though I'm not in medicine.

Now that’s a subject I love, but don’t grasp the maths of!
Amazing video as always, thank you Dr.
Wel we are getting through to the end for the cranial nerves.
I’m going to have to start prepping the cardiac explanations!
