I head down to Southern California and get a couple laps in on some fantastic rider-managed trails that had a silly mix of flow and tough tech. We'll be basing operations out of my house in Northern California, but it was awesome to get started on this stuff!

Don't let the trolls get you down, Brian. I dodge most jumps, too. It's not my strong point, and I'm too damned old to think I can fly lol. You ride like a beast, air time or not.

Same here. I'm willing to shred almost anything but jumps and drops because I'm way too heavy for liftoff... or at least to trust the bike frame and suspension not to disintegrate on impact.

I'm a gradually spreading ex-sportive riding roady, who after a fairly big year for a chubby 40 something hasn't been on a bike properly in 3 years, this channel has TOTALLY reignited my interest in bikes... just amazing stuff, the INSANE descents, the extraordinary scenery. For the firs time in ages, I want to be outside riding... thank you

Did you know there is an enduro World Series race close by Fresno California? It’s at China Peak Ski Resort in June. I think this year they might have to deal with leftover snow.

So HAPPY to see you and Alex on my local trails. Keep hoping to bump into you but hasn't happened yet! Intense factory is in Temecula and from what I understand they have helped make a lot of those trails. I'd love to see you do a factory tour.

I’m in Weaverville that’s in between Redding and Eureka. Each of our communities have an awesome and different riding scene. Redding has a couple awesome flow-trails that are what you’d expect to see at a bike park.

I just started watching your videos they inspired me to start riding again so you got my lazy ass off the couch and on the trail so to hell with the negative people and there comments your showing of what we're missing out on and having a epic time while you do it keep it up man I love it .

Just loving your clips. Especially when Alex and Seth are along for the ride- so cool that you are all buddies. I'm living in NZ- loving the riding here- mostly grade 3 single track is my realm as I'm 51 and a bit 'crunchy'. Really want to do a trip to the States/ Canada. If you had 2 months to ride, drink coffee/ beer, ride more----is there one or two top locations in your land of beauty that you would choose over any other?????? Gota emphasis- quaint little towns with great cafes would also be a big priority- ESPECIALLY if they've got a ton of trails not too far away........And not a fan of crowds on trails- OR bears!!!!

As an old guy just starting out in mountain biking, the thing I like the most about your channel is the fact that you don't feel the need to hit a bunch of jumps. That alone gives me a bit of confidence to just go out and enjoy myself when I'm riding without trying to impress my younger self. Keep it up and just brush those haters off!

Always keep your derailleur on the smallest cog when not using bike. You'll prevent the spring from excess wear.

@@bkxc Arizona was my redemption trip but biking up MT lemmon didn't go very well (I just 7 miles up the climb and couldn't go on) so I have MT lemmon round 2 in the works, this time its personal🤣🤣

Jumping is fun, but comparison is the thief of joy. Ride your ride. I love getting air and couldn't do half the trails you do. Don't worry about the haters. We just missed you in Florida but glad you were showing us off.

I live in a small town with some riding, you should come through. Not many people know about it but ... Santa Cruz! Oh wait, we have been completely overrun by transplants and it’s not even worth it on the weekends. At least mountain bikers are cool, I stopped surfing cuz the douche bag scene in the 90’s. Stoked for this series

Road trips are the best.
From one of my mountain bike friends there is suspose to be a decent trail hidden in San Jose. It’s called Steven Creek Canyon Trail. It’s starts up on the ridge line of the Santa Cruz mountain and drops down through a canyon to Steven Creek Canyon Road. The tricky part is an hairpin to an Indy fakeout. Near the end. On google earth it is about 8.5 miles with a few climbs. But it’s in the redwood forest all the way down.

it starts at Page Mill road near the Skyline Blvd it is .18 miles from the nearest packing area down hill towards San Jose which is 1.5 miles from Skyline Blvd. it is 4.77 miles and one of the few mountain bike trails in the Santa Cruz mountains. The trail never crosses the creak until Canyon Trail( correct name actually) it becomes Stevens Creek Canyon Road pass the gate preventing Cars. from other videos the trail can be hard to spot and can miss the correct path easily. hope this is helpful
