I grew up watching Hee-Haw on Saurday afternoons with my Daddy. Oh how I miss seeing Buck Rogers, Roy Clark, Grandpa, Minnie Pearl, and the whole gang with their weekly guests.
Me too, wore the VHS tape out of this Buck show in rhe early 80''s. My opportunity to see him play came in 2003/ 2004? when he was booked to play Ballinlough Castle Country festival with Dwight Yokham. Sadly he passed away a few days before the show. Dwight naturally dedicated his set to his dearly departed friend🙏🕺🎸🎶🎵💎👌☘️🇮🇪
I have a similar story, my cousin Homer Joy who wrote Streets of Bakersfield was asked to be part of the Buckaroos but couldn't do it because of his wife and children.
Don rich was with buck untill he died in a motor cycle accident in the 70s.

Terry Christofferson used it because it was tidy, he could have it around his neck while playing pedal guitar and go from one to the other mid song without breaking stride

I want to hear this by BIG AL ANDERSON
Anyone know what synth the guy is playing accordion on?
Buck called my grandpa personally and he asked him to be his lead guitarist, but my grandpa turned him down because he didnt want to leave his kids

I liked this song but that didnt look like his orignal Buckaroos! Where was Don Rich for example!
Same bass player from 1960's
Don rich was with buck untill he died in a motor cycle accident in the 70s.

Bars get fuckin ripped apart when this mofo drops in the Central valley!
What's wrong with the audience. They are so deadpan, no energy, it's Buck Owens!
Look at the Steinberger headless guitar! So 80's and sterile, and so NOT country. The guy made it work though.
Terry Christofferson used it because it was tidy, he could have it around his neck while playing pedal guitar and go from one to the other mid song without breaking stride
