Calgary is a city in the Canadian province of Alberta. It is situated at the confluence of the Bow River and the Elbow River in the south of the province, in an area of foothills and prairie, about 80 km (50 mi) east of the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies. The city anchors the south end of what Statistics Canada defines as the "Calgary-Edmonton Corridor".
The city had a population of 1,267,344 in 2018, making it Alberta's largest city and Canada's third-largest municipality. Also in 2016, Calgary had a metropolitan population of 1,392,609, making it the fourth-largestcensus metropolitan area (CMA) in Canada.
The economy of Calgary includes activity in the energy, financial services, film and television, transportation and logistics, technology, manufacturing, aerospace, health and wellness, retail, and tourism sectors. The Calgary CMA is home to the second-highest number of corporate head offices in Canada among the country's 800 largest corporations. In 2015, Calgary had the highest number of millionaires per capita of any major city in Canada. In 1988, Calgary became the first Canadian city to host the Winter Olympic Games.
Calgary has consistently been recognized for its high quality of life. In 2018, The Economistmagazine ranked Calgary the fourth most liveable city in the world in their Global Liveability Ranking. Calgary is classed as a Beta global city.

Many years ago or more. As a kid My father would drive to Calgary alongside my mother & i . before we hit downtown Calgary. We would arrive past Bow River than onto Centre Street before heading to Chinatown. That was our normal route coming to & from Hwy 2. We would go there to either visit my parent,s friends. Than drive home back to Edmonton on the same day.
It reminds me a bit of Emirates, especially Abu Dhabi. Thanks for making these videos. They are very helpful to have an idea of the cities.
It would be even better if the video is taken in summer. I love Calgary. Was there twice. I hope I will visit the Wild Rose Country again, both Edmonton and Calgary.

The topography in and around Calgary is gorgeous but that downtown is astonishingly ugly. No design sense whatsoever. Calgary has a bright future but that 90% of those buildings need redevelopment.

That's because the PM allows everyone from around the world and middle East who have no clue how to drive and accident after accident after accident after accident. Why they don't make them really understand the rules of the road? Probably all about more money.

It took things such as amount of road rage, quality of roads, air pollution and visibility, pedestrian safety, speed limits, public transport, cost of petrol, parking affordability, daily congestion, etc. into consideration. Here are the top 5 best cities in the world for driving according to that survey:

Just search up best city in the world for driving and almost every website will say it’s Calgary. People who have never driven in other parts of the world and have driven just in Calgary will obviously think that Calgary is bad for driving even though it’s not. Sure, it’s not perfect, but it’s better than rest of the world.
@@hamdaanahmed2006 I'm from the USA and every single time I drive which is all the time...I see the most dumbest stunts and illegal driving. I am not the only person to see this .... Go on FB and plenty people talk about it. I've had friends from here talking about it saying they've traveled the world, and they've never seen worse drivers thank here in their hometown.

I enjoy driving and I've driven all over and back and forth all the time. You are the only person that I've come across to say this. I kid you not.
My husband is from here and he totally agrees with me. But, alot of it is due to immigrants that don't know the proper rules or don't care. And people have been talking to have been noticing the same thing. So I think maybe there should be a survey on who caused what accident and where they're from. Hmmmm, I'm getting somewhere now aren't I?

And why there's ponds put next to the freeeways for more accidents to happen?? I call : Stupid written across people's foreheads.
2 years ago I saw a mother duck and her baby ducks Crossing the road on Crow child, full traffic coming. You do the math I was sick. I will never forget the incident. It was horrifying!!
I really don't care where you get your stats from, from everybody I've ever talked to and from the daily encounters I've come into contact with.... There's nothing that bothers me worse than bad driversand in fact my husband got hit from behind because the people in front of us went into an abrupt stop and went sideways and there was nobody behind us for a little while yet the driver wasn't paying attention and we still got hit which our dogs went flying and got injured and we were in a big pickup truck.
Go on Facebook find out what's going on in Calgary for news and driving conditions and then you tell me. I'm from the Seattle area and you just don't see stuff like this not this crazy.
