It is genuinely impressive how Pekora constantly finds either new things to do or new ways of doing things in Minecraft. This is why UsaKen is the best.... if you ignore the health and safety violations of course.

The technique she used is called Lava Casting, typically I’ve only seen it used in 2b2t as a form of griefing and entrapment, seeing it used for building instead of destroying is nice to see.

Ive seen it used for building quick water elevators by pouring lava over a single block, removing the lava then quickly placing water (to avoid having to mine out an obsidian block) in construction of farms or other tall structures, fauna used the technique in her raid farm iirc, and it's definitely a method I'm going to use in future builds. The main reason it's not used as much in general construction is simply that it produces cobble rather than a more attractive block like deepslate or cut stone bricks that you typically see on tower builds

Remember haachama has also started playing off stream, and if anyone can master Australia its her. Just give her time to make her new megastructure
That's a pretty clever way of building... with a little bit of modification she could have her very own Orthanc/Barad Dur.
If everyone is allowed to build on the new server I look forward to what it will become.

I'm pretty certain Japan has a word for bucket, but I remember seeing a clip of someone surprised to learn bucket was a loan word. Much of the Eastern and Western world have given up on translating individual things. Full sentences, sure lets translate it.

"yougan", I think, where normally they'd just use "maguma" for both
That's kind of what the Bushimachi challenge is based on, not using any loan words over purely japanese vocabulary.
Also I guess soul sand is a bit more descriptive in the game than something like tamashii suna would be. Something like 魂砂

any reason why Hololive Builds again their Server? what happen with previous JP Server?
New Minecraft 1.20 update. I don't know how it works or not...whether you need to start a new world to use the new version etc or whatever...maybe they just wanted it separate, dunno. Nothing's happened with the other servers, they're still connected.
1. Some members who didn't play much on the old server were too anxious to play around and possibly destroy the old monuments & contraptions.
2. Game updates sometimes break old redstone contraptions, so building fresh with current mechanics is nice.
3. The new server backend may support more players, or mods or some other technical reason
The oldest server is at backed up and saved if not running, the previous server is probably still running but linked with 3rd party mod portals.
So when will Moona finish the building 😆
She won't be available to usaken until ID residental area is finish
