About Reine, The concept of school subject matter in Indonesia is totally Generalization until College. There are many people who are quite good at Mathematics in Indonesia, but that doesn't mean we like it. That's why Mathematics is the most terrifying scourge in the field of knowledge even though we can process Mathematics problems.

If you want the actual answer... not following a specific order (like PEMDAS/MDAS, although that's my first time seeing those acronyms) could lead to completely different answers as you can see in the clips. The most logical order would be starting with the highest order operation (multiplication is repeated addition, so a higher order) and work downwards, with the exception of paranthases for the cases where a lower order operation is supposed to be calculated first. There is no reason to make sure to do multiplication before division, or addition before subtraction tho, they are the same operation just backwards/negative basically. TL;DR: There has to be one specific order everyone uses, so we use the most logical one

Per the definition of multiplication, I can write that as 5+5+5 Now lets say I extend the equation to 2+5×3. Doing the addition first breaks the equation, since the multiplication goes from 5+5+5 to 7+7+7 Fundamentally, the order doesnt matter if you can get everything in the same operation. The fact that we do multiplication first is simply a byproduct of turning all the multiplications into addition

Literally how I've always done it even when the teacher wanted me to memorize or get formulaic. Just break it down into easier parts, man.
