I had to contact a travel agent and convinced him to go to the foreign ministry by himself to get the stamp on the invitation letter. The first time we didn’t know, the second time it was closed third time approved but without the seal etc. so I had to travel frequently from Moscow to Kursk to get updates because they never answered my phone calls nor emails. Cost me so much but finally got it and went to Ulaanbaatar via trans-Siberian train! Yeah, it was amazing ♥️

So I was flying to Tehran and realized arriving at the airport as the only one tourist, that it might not have been the smartest idea. A guy from the same plane saw my confusion and asked me what's up. Told him I got no visa and no clue how to enter the country right now. He grabbed me by my arm and pulled me to the next counter. Re Venezuela, it's so sad how far that once beautiful country has fallen. I remember as a kid growing up in the 80's going on an exchange program to Venezuela to learn Spanish. The visa was super easy to get, we simply handed in our passports to our teacher plus a check for flight, and a few days later she returned it. I eagerly opened my passport and there was a visa stamp with hand-written notes detailing the purpose of our travel (educational). We then flew from New York - Miami - Caracas. Back then Caracas was like Paris, I was totally floored as a kid at all the bright lights of the city, the lusciously green parks everywhere, the vibrant markets, and I even went on a solo excursion through the favellas. My mom, who at the time was living in Miami, and her friends used to take frequent shopping trips to Caracas. THAT's how good life used to be in Venezuela. A Danish friend of mine who used to work on the oil rigs there, but who was forced to leave after the state nationalized his oil company, told me horrible stories of people fighting in the streets over bread, sugar, a small pack of chicken, etc. It's hard to believe that that's the same country I visited as a kid.
don't worry it's already happening here in America, you won't need to visit Venezuela to see how messed up it has become, you'll need to drive through nyc ,that's if you can get gas at all!
I have not been to Venezuela in a long time, years before Chavez, around 1990 and that time I was there, I saw petrodollars in action in the form of amazing infrastructure.... that was already starting to crumble, with favelas already visible all around, hinting at issues of corruption and wealth inequality. In hindsight, the rise of a good ole demagogue like Chavez is not entirely surprising, but the way he drove the country hard into the ground is still unbelievable. Maduro (and his cronies) got to go, thieving fat f*ck.

that is because we Indians have this uncanny habit of invading any country that gives us visa on Arrival, for economic reasons mostly. That is why people who are genuine travelers who want to visit for holidays and business and then come back are also viewed with the same lense. There re 1000s of cases where Indians have gone abroad, outstayed their visas, throw their Indian passports away and then try to get the Nationality of that particular country. Prominent among those are USA, UK, other EU countries and so on and so forth. I was in Paris quite a few years ago and was surprised to see a Punjabi selling suveniours at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. He did not have a Passport or a visa, he did not have an identity and he was waiting to spend time in France and try to get a France passport eventually. I asked him why, and he said who gives a damn about India. I was quite sad to hear him say that. So these invading mutts spoil it for the rest of us.

I had to contact a travel agent and convinced him to go to the foreign ministry by himself to get the stamp on the invitation letter.
Here in my city Venezuelans have arrived, almost every day asking for food and help.

Lol, this is daily process for us Indians
welcome to discrimination mate
its not discrimination a passports power does not depend upon the race or something its all about money and power of a country
that is because we Indians have this uncanny habit of invading any country that gives us visa on Arrival, for economic reasons mostly.
