I started skiing last year at 22 years old I went 14 times last season and so far 3 times this season and counting. With that said I can ski black diamonds and glades you just need to do it. It’s worth it I go alone half the time even if I have no one to ski with.
I try and hit 70mph at least once a season.... one time a lady confronted me and said I was going too fast.. I told her that I must have missed the speed limit sign. Her face was priceless

Wow! Okay so really odd story here. I was telling my girlfriend a story about skiing just LAST NIGHT while watching the Olympics. I told her how I took my neighbors 224cm Super GS skis to Keystone and I made 3 runs before being asked to leave because I was going too fast. We were doing high speed runs from top to bottom. Those 224's wouldn't even turn well until you hit about 45mph. This was in the mid 1990's by the way. I worked at Copper Mt and during the first week of every month we could ski for free at Keystone, Breck or A-Basin. So I get up this morning and here's Talon doing high speed runs at Keystone! Talk about a weird coincidence!

Hey man, do you rock snowboard boots or ski boots with your blades? I think you can do either, so I'm curious what you do. I currently ski but super interested in blades as I grew up doing aggressive inline, so I feel like ski blades would be perfect for me.

How is carving on the playmakers versus the revolts? I don't like carrying multiple skiboards and want something with more float than the revolts. Playmakers seem ideal but I'm curious how a board with no camber is going to carve or handle ice.
Still carve great just takes a little more to get em on edge. These are the only boards I ride now because they do it all.

These are just the classics with the standard tongue that came with. I don’t change them.

It's been a few years since I've been skiing, but need to get back at it hopefully next season. Is there a height/size limit for ski boards that you recommend? Or is it just a matter of good balance, technique, etc?

What size boards were you using at Keystone? They look about 118’s or so, but tough to judge.

I actually prefer riding the playmakers now. There’s a video on my channel of when I switched and a few more after that as well.

Speed on the mountain can kill. An old buddy of mine was skiing with a group of friends at steamboat last month and one of his skiing partners of 30 years was killed in a high speed collision…..with another one of their friends. Very sad.
