I know this is an older video, but it’s such a thorough review by Jess, who’s a great skater. Check out her RUclips channel. I love my Jack 1 skates for trails and street skating. I agree on the break in time and support giving you more confidence to push down into the “floor.” I stroke and sticky skate better than with other skates I’ve owned. I use the Energy 62s on mine too. I can easily skate for more than an hour without discomfort.
I’m just a street and aspiring dance skater (I’m new, but with big dreams lol), minimal tricks, but I really want the Jack boots- would it be major overkill to just go ahead and get them, or would it be a smart investment?
Hi there Jess, I am doing the Lolly to Jack upgrade and just wanted to ask what the best Kingpin angle is for ramp/park skating as ill be getting a whole new set up. Currently my Lolly's have DA45's but I noticed most have 10-20 kingpin angles? thanks in advance.
Amazing! Which colour is your jack boot? Is that a jade or a pool blue? Also what kind of wheels did you put on your jack skates? I'min the lookout for good outdoor/recreational wheels.
Hi!!! Your review was awesome!!! I'm. Looking for a Moxi Bunny Vs moxi Lolly review. Because just like in this case (jack boot Vs lolly) the difference in price is huge. And in Argentina this roller skates are really expensive!!! I was looking for information and comparative videos, but I've not found anything... Help, please!!!!
The Moxi Beach Bunny is a GREAT skate, especially for street skating and/or beginners. It has a long wheel base and tight trucks, which keeps you going in a straight line. This makes it harder to do figure/dance skating, although not impossible. The boot gives you a lot of ankle support, but it also has enough cushioning that it's still extremely comfortable. There's no break-in time, so when you take your skates out of the box for the first time, you could skate for as long as you want without worrying about blisters or sore feet from a stiff boot. The wheels aren't my favorite for outdoor skating, but they're easy to switch out, and they aren't bad. They're just a little tricky for going over cracks and debris. The Lolly is also a great skate, but for different reasons. It has (in my opinion) a better plate, with more responsive trucks that make it much much easier to do turns and figure/dance skating. The boot on the Lolly is really cute with the different colors of suede, but I prefer the boot on the Beach Bunny. The Lolly doesn't have much ankle support at all, and with only a little cushioning on the tongue, there are spots on the boot that are kind of uncomfortable. The Lolly also comes with the Moxi outdoor wheels, which are my personal favorite wheels for any kind of street skating. They're really cushy and give you a nice smooth ride. Hope this helps!
Size wise for a womens 8 us size would you recommend the 6 or the 6.5 or a 7 in the jack boot? I like a snug fit and worry about getting to big of a size but i also dont want to get too small of one i was thinking more or a 6 or 6.5 any chance you can help point me towrds the best size?
These wheels are what i use on my Lolly skates for outdoor cruising. Atom Pulse in pink. Super soft at 78a. I personally find them kinda slow but they do roll over things like twigs, little stones, cracks in the footpath etc.
Yes, finally someone willing to say how the Jack out performs the Lolly and why!!!
The absolute BEST review of almost 10 videos I've watched. Thanks for a comprehensive comparison!!!

Do both skates have the same plates and wheels and bearings?

Hi you mention size 8 Moxi which i think is my size. May i ask what the foot length is ?
Do they have a difference in weight? I assume the Jacks with all the support and padding should be heavier than Lollies, is it so?
Hi. Did you put the Jacks on plates by yourself? If yes, maybe you have captured the process :D
