AB is my ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND! Every single member is so talented and humble. There are very few bands where I can listen to every track on every album without skipping a song, and AB is one of those rare bands. Love that Brian is getting this recognition, great video... very inspirational!
Please do a video like this on the rest of the members, too! Y'all are my favorite band of all time! I buy multiples of your albums. I'm so interested in all the backstory of everyone. Thanks for this video!!!
Brian has such a unique style for playing and his rhythm section along Scott Philips is what make AB so powerful and melodic at the same time. Amazing bassist.
Thank you for doing this, Brian has a truly special place in my heart. One day when the guys were touring with Creed back in 2012 they came to Chile and you know I've been listening to Alter Bridge since 2007 so I discovered Creed through AB, I went to the airport the next day after they performed here in a total fanboy way to meet the guys in a more intimate way, I was young and dumb and passionate so I was asking for a photo, and autograph and a pick if I was lucky enough, I asked to Brian if he had a pick or something that he could give to me in a very shy way, he said 'Oh I don't know, but let see' and out of nowhere he took his backpack and started to take things out and he found an 'AB III' bass pick and gave it to me, that pick it's one on my precious things I own and I still can't believe how he did that, to take the time to please a fan like that when you are tired at the airport? That tells me the kind of person that Brian is, an amazing one. Congratulations for your sobriety Brian, keep doing impecably as you've been doing so far.
That's a pretty cool story. Brian has always captured my attention. I am much older than you it seems. I knew of him back in their original Creed days. His bass playing, even being younger, captured my attention in songs like One. When he was pushed out of Creed the first time, I thought it was such a big loss on their third record. Then when Creed split up and Alter Bridge started, hearing Brian's bass playing on Open Your Eyes was so great. He's been my favorite bass player forever and really motivated me to play bass. I too am happy he is doing well with his sobriety, it can be very difficult.
What Brian just said resonates so much with me! I also had a problem but with Drugs. I brought myself out of that problem for who is now my wife and the mother of my three beautiful children! I am now 8 years clean and I feel fantastic! I will admit that the combination of my wife’s help and love along with alter bridge and their songs helped me through it all! I also even got my wife into Alter Bridge and together we have seen them Live more than 5 times together! Thank you Brian and Alter Bridge for sharing this amazing story! See you in 2021!!!!
I went to high school with Brian. He was a year ahead of me but being on the baseball team together we got to know each other. It was definitely not cool for older students to befriend younger students but he did and, for a while, we were friends. We shared an interest in music of course, but he was never ashamed to speak to me in the halls about anything. He was a good dude then and he's a good dude now. So happy for his success.
