Operation Find and Catch the Hereford Bull
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 22 апр 2019
- Moving new Hereford bulls to their new herd and home. Then I try to find and catch another Hereford bull that needs to come off of some heifers. He's about the only bull here that won't come to a bucket of feed, so he has to make it difficult for me to lot and catch. Watch and see how it all ends up!

I`m from Hereford UK and we have a beautiful life size bronze statue of a bull in the city centre. We`re very proud of our Herefords
with right to be so.they are a awesome breed.
i was born in Hereford and loved going to the Saturday and Wednesday markets
@@katherinefranklin2586 Those were the days, sadly the cattle market no longer exists it`s now a multi storey car park. A new cattle market has been built on the Roman Road towards Stretton Sugwas. Shame really , Hereford use to be very busy on a Wednesday and I especially looked forward to having a 4 O`Clocker in the Market Tavern. Again , that's no longer a thing due to new licensing hours and the pubs are all open all day now.
@@ianrobson9601 so the cattle are near the tip i used to go the refuse dump with my dad i don’t know why but i loved the trip and the time with him going out just to get rid of black bags
@@ianrobson9601 i remember going in the market tavern sitting in the corner with my lemonade and colouring books while my mum was working not allowed now though
Nice and healthy animals . Great Work .t thanks for sharing ,place looks safe for them
Boy ! That drone sure saves time. Definitely worth the investment.
When I seen them running I said they running to dad saying it's time to eat so we can have some good meat . Great video
My parents had a cattle farm in Namibia 🇳🇦 which was 5000 hectares, an average size in that area. They grazed freely on sweet natural grass and had access to plenty of fresh water from our boreholes. The local name for the area was "the land of fat cattle!" Really enjoyed seeing what you do.
5000 hectares. Common?!
U tellin me it's common for men to own approx 12-15miles of land??
Great looking bulls.
The cows trotting towards you when they heard the beepin lol
The dogs are cool and it was a good video. Enjoy life..the animals are.
Thanks for the video.
Good looking Dog.
Haha never seen anyone call their cows like that that's awesome 👍🏼😆
Nice big ole bull ya got🤘🏻
Great job, and great video, man!
I appreciate it a lot!!

Yes keep them happy
Using traditional industry, with modern technology. Smart!

I love your dogs bro haha
good when a plan comes together
Cool looking bull
Nice cattle. Thank you for posting. One question have you had cases of cancer eye on your cattle? With the light pink pigmentation around the eyes. And how do you deal with that? Thanks
Hey man thanks for the videos just found your channel and I love it addicted for ssure.. Thanks
Nice! I need to get going and get some more made out and ready, thanks again.
That bull is huge
Thanks
Love ❤️
New subscriber just found your video 10 minutes ago. Great stuff. Reminds me of Home, the horn was the magic bell. May I ask what part of the country you’re in?
Thanks! Yessir, this is north Texas.
That’s so interesting, honking the horn and they all come running!!!😂😂😂 I am a city girl😂😂
Maria Felix yea you gotta do it that way more than once with a sack of feed on the tail gate or in his case the bed
Another great video farm guy
That bull sure has some balls in his voice. LOL
What a beautiful animal, I love cows. Question, why do they race along with your truck ?
Zeze Andjr this truck is known to them as their feed truck. It brings them hay and feed in the winter so whenever they see this truck they think it’s going to feed them. In this video I didn’t know the feed bin on the truck was out of feed or I would have at least gave them a little for coming to the horn.
Cows are also extremely curious creatures and anytime I walk into the pasture even if I’m just walking to the pond to fish. They all come around me to see what’s going on. Then when I leave they all follow me to see where I’m going. They’re funny creatures.
Zeze Andjr food...be water 💦
What are you dumb
Some of ours will come to the engine noise, most of them need to be yelled at to make them come for the feed though
They are beautiful
And they need food!
I live in Bielefeld the city next to Herford 😂
That means there going to get fed
@echt deutsch was geht
Great video cattle looks awesome. Best horned Herford I've seen in awhile
Just found your channel and it’s awesome man! How’d you get into farming? Is that you and your wife’s farm?
brett ham Thank you! It is a result of multiple family generations of farming and ranching. Been doing it ever since I can remember and my dad has made it grow into what it is today.
Nice cattle I like your bulls I live in Central Texas I see cattle all the time.
Ah well ok the horn means “dinner time”👏👏👏👏
Our bull got out a few days ago and we found him sitting in a pasture by himself. We thankfully got him home easily
afnan alhilai glad you found him and all was ok!
Only Hereford bulls would run right by heifer heaven to go hang out with other bulls. Maybe I'm biased because I love my Red Angus bulls.
AndersonCattleCo. Your not only one thinking that lol, we quit using hereford bulls because we had to many open cows in their pen and we would find them off in a corner with no cows in site
Out of feed? What can I say. The cattle did their part.
Saya suka video anda, salam dari Indonesia. Pekerjaan yang bagus
what beautiful cattle you got there mate keep doing what you doing
Que chulada me encanta el campo muy Bonito ganado
hate to ask but why do they come so fast to the horn? cool bull, thanks for posting
They are trained to know that when the horn honks the feed truck is there with feed and they don’t turn that down!
@@TheFarmGuy thanks for the quick reply.
Quick question around my area my company include emwe only raise one breed black angus and we dong breed anything other. So what's the reason that you have so many different breeds in your herd?
Jocoby Cast just to be diversified mainly. Some we raise for beef calves and other breeds we raise for replacement heifers.
He is the one making the most noise
Why did you put up obstacles where you trying to train them for the army before they go in the trailer
horse lover529 maybe? Didn’t look like army training to me the way they went on the trailer.
Getting rid of the one you wanted to catch? Subbed.
He got turned out with a group he wasn’t supposed to be with. Don’t want the Hereford breeding tiger stripe heifers and the others so removed him and added a good angus bull to them. Appreciate it!
what camera and how much is one your videos are way good!
Anchor Brand Ranch the first part of the video I’m using the GoPro 7 black and besides the drone shots the zoom camera is a Panasonic FZ-2500! Thank you!
Thanx man !!!!!
Well that “operation” took all of 30 seconds
I was thinking about purchasing a drone for the same reason Now that i see how you do it buying one ASAP what drone Is that ?
This is the DJI Mavic Air.
thanks for the vid new sub here.
👍
Enjoy, from Hereford uk
Why do they come to horns or a siren? I wouldn't have guessed that in a million years. Are they trained to do that? They know there is food coming?
First comment!!! Cannonball beds r great beds. Great video!!
Those are some nice bulls!
Nice video. Nice how you can call the cows. Where is your farm based?
Thank you. In north Texas, straight north of Dallas a ways.
@@TheFarmGuyNice Is it mostly cattle around there?
Benjamin Bauer no, there’s a lot of farm land also. It’s hard to say the exact split.
Bulls in first of May calves born February?
Great video , love me some Herefords
Yes bulls in the first of May, but many are still calving right now so it will be a while until they are bred back.
What kind of cows do you run to breed with the herefords
We have Herefords on Brangus and Brahma cows.
i love cows but i dont have place to keep them
Just out of curiosity, why would you not use a naturally polled bull?
Bo Weavil my dad said back in the day it was always said that if you take the horns out of the Hereford, you’re also taking meat out of his body. That’s not exactly the way he said it but yeah. He said it may be different now but back then polled Herefords were pretty dang sorry but surely they’ve been upgraded now. Sorry for the late reply, hope that helps lol.
What kind of dog do you use on your farm ? Black mouth cur or a kangal ??
A Aardhond yes, he’s a black mouth cur!
What is the drone you are using?
Blue Star DJI Mavic Air
What breed are the white ones are they Charolais?
Yes, not purebred Charolais though.
Gotta buy yourself some Hereford hogs to match your bulls
Farm guy how Manny Cattle do you have and you should get a Golden retriever they are good herding dogs for cattle and my boss has two golden retriever dogs he use them to herd his cows
Hereford are the BEST Cattle....
Is that dog a Blackmouth Cur? Looks like the ones I've owned.
Edward Deitch yes it is!
Edward Deitch for some reason I see your other reply in my inbox but it doesn’t show up on the comments but no I have no heard of those. Sounds like an excellent line of curs though! I’m surprised how little known black mouth curs are. One heck of a breed if you ask me.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
What drone is that
Bhai Mavic Air
Awesome man! That horn thing of the truck surprised me
DRAGONFLAMINGHD thanks!! Yeah when that horn goes off the cattle know the feed truck is close!
I have f1's but yours is really nice
Luke Byers thanks! F1’s make for some really good cows.
why didn’t you just use the drone to move the bulls?
I probably could have but it would have made it that more risky and a chance he would have ran into some thick brush to get away from it.
I live in Hereford Texas
Jeziah Murillo a lot of Hereford cattle there? Lol
Yup
Hello there I like that job Do you have a job for me I live in CALIFORNIA
Apolinar Visuet I’m sorry I do not. Wish I did.

Get ya a horse
What kind of drone do you use?
5th Generation Barlow Farmer DJI Mavic Air!
That’s why you need horses
Right, a horse would be handy for situations like this but the feed truck got it done just fine too!

Being Wild I’m not sure he can.

Why have horns on the bulls, dangerous
Most the other bulls do have their horns tipped but for some reason this one never did.
