This is ridiculous. The paper was all about birth of the authors. Almost no literary concept or theories or devices were asked. What's the purpose of learning it then? Rattafication will do if this is what they expect scholars to learn. Is this what we're supposed to learn after spending a lot on our studies? Their birth year? Seriously? I feel like I've wasted a lot of my time and efforts in learning deep concepts I should've taken the easy way. I don't see a reason now delving through the literature. Learning chronological order of works and birth of the authors would do. What's in it doesn't matter I guess. If this is what left in this field then I would rather not choose to appear for this exam again because there's nothing to learn in the process.

Exactly nonsense paper.. it's all about chronology what the hell! Even they missed valuable and important topics from exam point of view and we were expecting those questions.
@@jennydos9427 exactly I'm not sure whether I should be disappointed in myself or NTA because even after learning all of the concepts and reading it thoroughly for months I won't be clearing the JRF because I didn't learn the birth year of the authors. All of my efforts went straight through the drain.

@@nehapant6924 people who started learning a month ago are claiming their paper went great because all they only went through the name of the works and their author or maybe chronological order of the works. I'm telling you that learning thoroughly doesn't really matter these days. I would've chosen rattafication technique instead. Maybe then I would've cracked it.

no deep concept, no tough questions to see the genius level of candidate , i don't know who selected these questions.its not even for BA level ,they made joke of PhD and JRF

Exactly the exam paper was ridiculous and it was a nonsense paper in short. We all wasted our time in learning the concepts deeply. Now I am thinking it would be better to give NET in another subject.
They want us to memorise and not learn. I don't know why I spent that much time reading history as well as detailed summary of all the plays and novels and even reading so many of them in detail. This is why I have seen so many NET passouts that can't differentiate between Daniel Defoe and Robinson Crusoe.
@@Unicorn4-j3jexactly. I didn't prepare at all last time and still scored 61% on the basis of the things I learned in the three years of graduation and first year of postgraduation. Those questions actually needed us to use our brain and subjective problem-solving skills.

Not even a single questions from sure shot writers like charles dickens, jane austen, virginia woolf, john donne, etc.
They didn’t ask every sure shoot author I gave you but 75% of authors they asked were from sure shot authors only. And many students texted us that! Especially our Indian Literature sure shot was pakka

@@raina2319my teacher predicted this. She said that this has become a trend for the current government that they tend to ask questions from Indian classical literature more than anything. In GATE they ask more questions from Indian literature. Didn't expect it in NET though.
@@ihope2504 they also did this last year. We are studying Eng lit gow do they expect us to have such in-depth knowledge about Indian classical lit?
That’s why we even brought out the very useful Encyclopaedias in Indian Literature. Majority of questions on Indian Literature are covered in those books. Students are terribly excited and happy

Ma'am even though the questions were pretty easy, looking at the students sadly coming out of the centre discussing "Kitne Chronology Questions Theyy!!!" I think the cutoff would be more or less the same..it won't reach higher than 62%
