Part of me thought the ship is awkward cuz they're both pieces of the same person. but the other part thinks it's really cute and sweet cuz even if that's the case, each doll became its own person, separate from the others but act as a family.

My friend had a theory that they are different people 7: scientist wife
3&4: scientist kids
9: scientist
And we only see the scientist put his soul into nine
I thought about it another way. In my view, from the moment the scientist gave a part of their soul to each one, they ceased to be "part" of the scientist. They are not "him" anymore.
They are individual parts, and although they all originate from the scientist's soul, they have no family connection with each other (as if they were all the same person or something).
