Great Review I am HAPPY I got one. Disappointed in the PRICE & the FACT that originally it was suppose to come with the add-ons. However for the OVERALL PRICE - It is still cheaper than Fans Toys significantly & is only slightly more expensive that DX9 Disappointed that the size just isn't quite there in Combined Mode, however, Combined Mode looks IMPRESSIVE. HAPPY with the Aesthetics. It looks AMAZING Disappointed in the waste of engineering, time & $ spent on the "Base" mode that no one asked for nor really wanted either. Could have saved a TON of $ & brought the Price of the Trailer down. The SET in BOT mode is INCREDIBLE. The SET in Alt mode looks FANTASTIC. It's a real shame about the instability of the Combined Mode & you are not the only one that said the transformation was not fun & delicate at times. Overall I am thoroughly impressed & will be keeping mine in either 'Bot or Alt modes. Looking forward to the G2 version of GraveStone & his Trailer.

I'm a big fan of ratchet joints in general, but after posing the combined XTB Menasor for a while I kind of think XTB might have made the right decision to not have very many ratchets in the legs of this figure. I say that because due to how top heavy it is combined, I find myself fine tuning many of the leg joints to find a good balance. Had those been ratchets, I'm thinking it would have been harder to get it into some semi-dynamic poses. As is, I can get it into some decent poses that feel pretty stable once I find the correct balance through fine tuning all the friction joints. Now, if the friction joints loosen, it would obviously be pretty bad, but if they can stay tight, I think I'd rather have it this way than fighting ratchet detents trying to keep it balanced and standing. I'm real curious on what the Fans Toys trailer/Menasor frame is going to be like. It probably will need some industrial strength ratchets with fine teeth to be able to hold up the five heavy bots and allow some decent posability. The XTB Menasor is already top heavy enough, but the Fans Toys will be much heavier than the XTB version.
If you're tired of this guy leaning back and doing the splits, there's a few things that can help a bit: Flip the heel spurs up 45 degrees. This gives the back of the foot a little elevation that helps with the big guy leaning back too far. The thing that helped with the splits was putting thin rubber strips on the bottoms of the feet. Aside from the week hips, there's very little surface area on the bottom of the foot to promote friction. With some extra friction on the feet, they can't slide and let the weight of the figure blow out the joints. Also make sure the shins are directly over the joint responsible for the twisting the foot side to side...use the twists at the knees instead. The ankle tilt is actually a 2 joints...make sure the bottom is pressed into the foot and the top joint is responsible for the tilt.
Wow!! He looks absolutely beautiful. The base mode looks nice too! To be honest I was kinda waiting for maybe a couple of size comparisons with your Toyworld Constructor and maybe the Bruticus. But that's okay!! As always great video review. ♥️
@@TMReviews yeah, no I completely understand. The Transformation I heard was a complete nightmare. I could imagine it probably took several hours to go from Trailer to Base, than to combine mode. Not to mention I heard you really gotta be careful not to break him. Maybe you can do a future video, just size comparisons. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinion. ♥️

For the price of the trailer I really expected more ratchets. I hate how unstable he ends up being due to it. I also agree about not needing the accessory pack. I think the extra stuff for the arms makes the lower body look way too small. I managed to get it for $180, so I picked it up. I have not transformed it yet because I still have not decided whether I am keeping it. Always appreciate the content.
If you already bought it. I would transform it into combined mode and leave it permanently without the gravestone figure in the chest, this is the most stable configuration
Good review! I’m glad I passed on the XTB’s and went with the Fanstoys now. And unless FT knock it out of the park, I’m not even sure if I’ll bother to display in combined mode at this rate.
I think it's pretty safe to say that no one wanted the so-called "base mode". It was a waste of engineering which, if left out, could have made the combined mode that much better.
I think the XTB has the best looking individual bots, the best looking vehicles modes, and the best looking Menasor. But mannnn the fragility of this set has really put me off buying it. I've ordered the DX9 set and the three FT bots that are currently available instead. Will keep DX9 combined, and FT in individual bot modes. But dang, it's such a shame, because if XTB had been good I'd been planning to buy 3 sets (albeit only 2 trailers), so I could display them in bot mode, vehicle mode, and combined mode. The FT figures look good, but they're too big. I know the Sunbow chart should put them roughly at that level, but to me it just makes no sense they're so much bigger than the autobot cars and that will probably bother me forever. Hoping XTB does a re-release of these with better hardware. The Stunticons are by far my favorite subteam. I wanna build a display where I'm recreating the scene where Optimus has a head on collision with Motormaster, and there's just no better looking Motormaster than this one, especially with this trailer in his vehicle mode.
Great Review! But, I don't like the toy, it seems the Menasor masterpiece is just the trailer. Motormaster, Dead End, Wildrider, Drag Strip and Breakdowns are just cosmetic or to plug holes.

Wow that might be the worst combiner transformation I have even seen. Is every Menasaur a parts former with bots being pulled apart and just stuck onto a skeleton? I guess I'm spoiled by Devastator lol
