- In this video, I used Midjourney to generate images depicting the Forsaken from The Wheel of Time. There are a few special ones in here too as some of the Forsaken go by many names and take multiple forms. The link to the images is below. This is part 2 of a multi-part series. Go check out the other part's below!

I love these so much. I think The Stormlight Archive would make for great midjourney videos!
Coming up soon! I'm currently reading Oathbringer after taking about a year break from finishing Words of Radiance. I think I'll have some issues with midjourney giving the women the properly covered safehand and I think Kaladin's slave brand might be tricky but I'm excited to see what it spits out!
This is nothing short of phenomenal. The fact that I could readily tell who the majority of these Forsaken were before glancing down at their names attests to how detailed and thorough you were in your use of prompts as well as how much a fan of the books you are that you just… got it. Y’know? Their essence was captured so well.
Thank you for doing this and THANK YOU for posting the link to the photos. Would I humbly be able to use some of them in a Reddit/dream casting post? I would, obviously, give you all praise and credit for them.
So glad you liked them! Use the photos as much as you’d like! Yes I’m a huge fan of the books 😁
Asmodean was practically how i imagined him
I really enjoyed these, but I always feel like Lanfear can never be really captured since she is supposed to be so beautiful that just looking at her enthralls people. It's such an unearthly beauty that I don't know that any art can capture it properly. But great job.
Thank you! Yeah Lanfear I think is impossible to totally capture especially because she changes her appearance from time to time. Same issue as with the ‘ageless aes sedai look’, what would that even look like?
Idk man. Have you seen Liv Tyler?
@@FLMKaneyeah and she ain’t unearthly beauty
@@jaimelannister1797 I think he means Liv Tyler looks ageless

"The Spider" is smokin hot
These are amazing pieces of art, I'm glad to see you continued the WoT series!
Thank you! Definitely going to have to do a part three with Padan Fain, Faiel, etc!
Fantastic. Feel like these did a great representation of the characters. Thank you for putting this out there.
Red rising, stormlight archive, mistborn, first law, green bone saga, faithful and the fallen, that’s a good bit to keep going with, I know I’ll think of more, these are awesome vids!
Of those I’ve only read stormlight and Mistborn but the plan is to read all of those at some point! I will also be doing realm of the elderings 😁
I think greenbone saga might be more difficult to do because most of the characters just have similar vaguely described Asian features
Man my boy Rand got a will of steal to deny Lanfear like come on man
She is verifiably cway cway tho and I’m only on book 5
If he had a will of steal things might have been different for Moiraine.
They say never stick your dick in crazy. I'd say that's infinitely truer when it comes to world destroying level of crazy.
It's easier to deny her when you've got three other bitches lined up 😂
I’ll be honest, I can’t imagine being truly attracted to a mature 35+ woman when I was a low 20 guy. My friend’s cousin was beautiful back then, but she was a different generation… I don’t know, didn’t really work for me.
T~T It's too good!
Recognising some of them without ever having seen them is an incredible experience! Really brings the books to life!!!
I have been waiting for this. It's amazing!
I hope you like them!
This is exactly how I imagine most of them (except Ravin and Semigarde, which i imagine mediterranean rather than black). Gaendral is my favourite forsaken for some reason haha Also the chapters with the Forsaken in them are always my top favourite chapters. I read every single coma in said chapters.
Mine too, any site where they have the forsaken chapters listed?
ravhin is described with very dark skin when Mat sees him for the first time.
Asmodean was nothing like this as depicted in the books. Ravin was ok, but should have white temples and a bit more refined age. Demandred and Samael were the two closest to the book descriptions imo.
I imagine Ravin to be Indian tbh
Ishamael is suppoed to look arabic/Levant as well, I believe
I love the art work and how the details jump out at you. Lanfear has a bit of Fran Dresher about her. I've always seen her as more of a Kate Beckinsale myself but I agree that getting 'the most beautiful woman in the world' right is subjective. All of them look fantastic and well done.
For me it was Catherine Zeta Jones like she looked in the Mask of Zorro
@@leza4453 CZJ with bigger boobs!
@@leza4453 Me too! and Monica Belluci when she was in the Matrix Reloaded
This is really cool; they all look as if they jumped right off the pages of the books. Over the years, I have come to think that the only way to truly do WOT justice on the screen (honestly, that day may never come...thx for nothin, Amazon) is animation. Five, maybe six seasons of this style/visual and I'm tellin' you...instant gold. It's sad that showrunners simply cannot conceive that sticking as close to the original is what would work best.
pure perfection, I think Lanfear in the tv show is perfect cast the actress is exactly like oficial arts.
I have difficulty accepting Ishy/Moridin being so cheerful
That was my only quirk with this too.
More a representation of his madness I suspect. Think of Joaquin's Joker.
These are very good. I always thought of Bel'al as portly, for some reason, though, and I'm not sure why. Also Rhavin is missing the stripe of white hair that he's supposed to have. I always pictured him as more of an older man with some white in his hair, but still attractive. Semirhage and Lanfear are very close to what I always pictured.
I tried for forever to get Rhavin the white at his temples but mid journey kept giving him black or white hair not black and white hair. He should be older I agree.
I think the body types of Graendal and Mesaana are switched. Never got the impression the latter's chest was as filled out as the former's.
Nah I think it's fine. Mesaana however is supposed to have a white eye.
You're correct. Graendal is thicc Aphrodite body, she's way too small in all dimensions here.
There is NO correct interpretation of the WoT - bodily or otherwise - in which Graendal is any way inferior to Mesaana.
Agreed. Graendal is supposed to be voluptuous but in a plump way.
@@brongulus2617Never said she was inferior. But the books are clear she is more curvy than the other female Forsaken.
Great job! This just makes me so much more excited to see the Forsaken in the show!
Me too!
Ha!
Excellent!!
I am astonished by the nit pickers. This is sensational work.
Patience in 50 years we would be able to have a series made by AI which would be a true addaptation of the books.
Really nice see characters that match their descriptions in the book. I watch these videos of yours every time I see any scenes from the travesty that is the Amazon Wheel of Time show (which I do not bother watching).
Ooh . . . what you said about the Forsaken going by multiple forms got me to thinking about the television series. What I don't like about it is that they mix the races too much. Sure there must be some different races living together but in the books the folks from the different countries and populations all had distinct looks. Jordan always described the character based on their origin countries and the mix of different people in the show is somewhat jarring. I would have preferred a clear distinction and more segregation. After all, they don't have planes, trains and cars in this world.
I wish these were the characters in the current series. Good job!
Wow.. this is spot on. Nearly as I imagined them 👍
These are great. Please do the Asha'man next!
Ishamael looking a lot like James Franco
I only seen the show but this looks insaneee I gotta read more of the books
Do it, you won’t regret it
These are great mate :-)
Another excellent job.
awesome!
Again, another banger..
Not bad! Of these, Moridin (at the end), and perhaps Sammael and Moghedien, have an interesting take on the character's personality, imo.
These are awesome!
Thank you!
A alien perception, interesting imagery
Probably more accurate than the show.
OOh... now it makes sense why someone would go to the Shadow! :D
I think this hit at about 60% from my mind's eye when reading of them for the first time.
These are amazing btw.. love the art work.. again I'm left feeling an animated series would have done a better job than the current series.. you'd need a movie budget and a talented director and team that really loved the original material to make it work live action. otherwise, animated is definitely the way to go.
Excellent all, it's really hard to get Lanfear right, but it nails her. Rhavin, hmm he is handsome, but is it drop dead gorgeous type ? The build is correct, he is powerfully built, I don't expect an anime type scraecrow handsome model - that's more for Galad and Gawyn, not Rhavin. The darker appearance could also make that work.. would love to see the other characters done.
I think Aginor looked perfect, and Moridin is good too, don't forget his appearance is very important because of what happens at the every end to him especially if one day in the future there will be a story set after the events of the books.
I would have loved to see the body swap replacements like Halima, Cyndane, Aran'gar and Osan'gar.
every time i look at an AI generated image I see the same face
Ba'alzamon's mouth also opens into a cavern of fire.
Thanks for this
Of course!
It was a good art case, could believe it was concepts from the book cover or whatnot, But Sammeal did not look that villainous, more of a jolly lumber jack :D
That's so awesome!
Thank you!
These are fantastic. At the risk of sounding crass, I think Mesaana and Graendal should swap…assets…but other than that, perfect!
Haha nice 👍 I always pictured Moridin as Jim Morrison tho 😂
Honestly fair 😂
Were these first-tries, or did you take the best of each batch? They are phenomenally close to spot-on.
Most of them took at least three tries or a bit of tweaking. The only one I got on a first try was Mesaana. Lanfear went through about 25 iterations because I would get an image that I liked but there would be a weird extra character in the background. Then when I would fix the background I didn't think any of the women is presented actually looked like they could be Lanfear. In the end I settled on this one which I feel looks more like Lanfear in her Selene form as opposed to her regular appearance which I think is supposed to be slightly less skinny. I might do a video where I show what I do to get the images!
@@wyn_wyzard I'd like that a lot. I've been very half-in with AI art but figure it would work great to prototype some stuff in the future
Anyone else notice that Lanfears eyes are too far apart, her brow ridge is flat like a tank glacis and her hips are disproportionately wide?
Bravo!
Liked it. Thanks. Two nits: I thought Asmodean dressed nattier and was generally less wild looking. I didn't think of Moghedian as especially pretty. Your Lanfear was spot on, though.
I had a hard time actually finding any description of Asmodean so I had to go a bit off of my head cannon. I’m currently rereading the books by listing to the audio books for the first time and Michael Kramer’s voice for Asmodean does not fit with this depiction at all.
@@wyn_wyzard Thanks for the explanation. Thanks again for your work.
That's the thing with Graendal. Not enough original artists have done a beautiful, seductive chubby lady that Ai could scrounge up.
Interesting rendering, yes, I could see the Forsaken as these faces... that said, the fact of AI bias is stark with only TWO of the 13 to be non-caucasian in appearance. So, thank you for the very interesting illustrations but, I challenge you to take another pass at it and try to encompass the breadth of RJ's vision - in the Age of Legends, the intermix of racial phenotypes was a blend so casual to observe that a person from our current world of highly racially segregated nations would find marvelous.
I'd love to see that some look to be latino or east indian or native american or oriental/east/southeast asian, nordic, baltic, deeply african, flaming haired celtic and more.
Please understand my intention is not to imply any sort of undesired critique. Please accept my apologies if I cause any sort of upset. I am an IT professional and have been keeping up with AI related topics (though I'm not an AI professional) and simply aim to point out that, indeed, the use of AI does appear to AMPLIFY the biases of the the engineers who construct the AI systems through their selection of AI training material. I.e., the makers of Midjourney need to be informed that their system needs more work to further reduce ethnic bias.
Thank you for hearing/reading me out.
Yours respectfully,
A
I'd like a brief note explaining each one's specialty. I know one man created the trolls and fades. There was a woman physiologist who liked to torture her patients.
I thought Moridin and Mog turned out especially well!
The one thing we can all agree on I'm sure is that there's no way Lanfear would be caught dead in a dress like that. She's the ultimate temptress, not a maiden going to baptism
Lanfear is not a temptress...
Does anyone else think Lanfear looks like a young Fran Drescher?
Don't you dare add that voice to my headcanon.
Nope. Jacqueline Smith.
@@Camp3r😂 oh no
Asmodean as a 60’s hippie 👍👍👍👍
Why did you put in Moridin but not put in Aran'gar and Osan'gar? You put him in three times but didn't give the others credit.
I’ll do them in the next one! They slipped my mind
Would be cool to see what it comes up with for the other forsaken that are reincarnated in different bodies
They where all great except Lanfear, for some reason that image did not match what I had in mind :D I'm obviously aware that my image of Lanfear is not the "correct" one, but it was fun because all the others where really good matches for me, with a few small adjustments here and there.
Lanfear though, it was something about the cheekbones and the chin that just doesn't work for me.
Perfect.
And now look at that abomination miscarriage that they dare to call by the Wheel of Time name...
Dam Moghedien can get it
I picture Lanfear as a young Monica Bellucci.
That’s Fran Drescher in the thumbnail
Lol La fear looks just like the nanny.
its been awhile, but I thought Asmodean was portrayed as a bit of a dandy. Fancy coats, always presentable, a bit of a metro sexual if you will. That AI makes him look like a hippie. Otherwise, good stuff.
I really like Moghedien. Asmodean is good as well. Rhavin, Mesaana, and Graendal look a bit off from what I’ve read, and seen in fan art.
Lanfear's stars and crescents?
The AI missed Semirhage's skin tone. Her face should be "charcoal-dark", more like you often see in people from Sudan; it's a really striking look. I hope Amazon sees this as an opportunity for more diverse casting... she has such an imposing presence that it's a detail worth sticking to, rather than picking someone with a Nicki Minaj complexion and saying "close enough".
No offence but its Rahvin and not Rhavin I think
I know it's a new channel...but please, I would love to see some of my favourite characters come to life....
Like the ones from Keepers of the lost city
Or Renegades by Marissa Mayer...
Please...I will die...😢😢
Ishamael played by Tommy Wiseau 🤣
I wonder how long it will be until AI will replace illustrators? The biggest weakness of WOT (other than the sexism both sexes harbor for the other and how it hindered the light at every turn) is the poor cover art on most titles. If they did no more than put a character's picture that was the prime focus of the book on each cover with this quality, it would be a vast improvement. Some books are embarrassing to carry around as they look like they are for children.
Yeah I agree. I love the eye of the world and path of daggers but some like lord of chaos are really bad. A memory of light also slaps but I think the covers are in much need of a redo. Also I don’t love the mass market paperbacks
yes, to me the books cover was very romance novels-ish ... the kind Fabio would be on.
I'm a professional freelance illustrator and it seems I'm getting fewer jobs. Thankfully, I do book _accurate_ characters in dynamic poses and work closely with authors so for now I have a little advantage. Ai is a real threat to me, I know it'll be a short matter of time before it catches up with my style.
And yes, the WoT covers where horrendous because Darryl K. Sweet's weakness was anatomy and females, was definitely aging and he didn't have the 'undo' button on his oils.
The woman that killed Moraine Damadred
Where's Mazrim Taim 😢?
Didn't want to spoil that for anyone who might not have finished the series! I'll put him in the next video though. He's one of my favorite characters!
*points at Jennifer's Body* ... Megan Fox would've made an amazing Lanfear, and I don't even like her
In my headcanon Halima/ Aran'gar looked like Megan Fox. Whereas Berelain was Mila Kunis
@@leza4453 Mila is eminently acceptable.
@@leza4453 i'd have to re-read her description, but i always pictured Halima as one of those short thick big titty goth girls
In this picture, Lanfear looks like Jaclyn Smith, but with fuller poutier lips.
You forgot Mazrim Taim.
Why is my dude holding a banjo? Lol
Lanfear looks like Jacqueline Smith?
Ishamael in the series is different from this
Sammael is foiiiine
Somehow Lanfear ended up being the least attractive of the female Forsaken.
Maybe this is a personal preference thing, but I found Lanfear to be the least attractive of the female forsaken. Otherwise, really cool.
Besides for the first two, they are all too young except for Moridin. Moridin is actually young, him they made too old 😅
Also I though Belal actually looked like an old man, not a young guy with white hair.
and then amazon comes along and ruins it
Lanfear is completely wrong.
How is Mesaana hotter than Graendal and Lanfear 😅

Can't draw yourself?
You didnt make anything.
Worst fantasy series I've ever tried to read but some of those villains can get it 👀
