ITF Theory Athletic workshop 2023 Hong Kong

Inspired by one of General Choi Hong Hi’s quotes “a qualified instructor shall combine the qualities of a Scholar and a Soldier” The Theory Athletic workshop was held in THE YARD, Sun Po Kong, Hong Kong on December 3rd 2023. The event was hosted by Sahyun Nim Anthony Ng (7th Dan) Chief instructor of Moon Moo Kwan and Sabum Nim Jennifer Tsang (6th Dan) president of International Glory Taekwondo. Since Taekwon-Do theory is an essential part of Taekwon-Do training, yet there are little emphasis in day-to-day training this workshop is such an innovative approach to this topic, it was clear all participants were keen to learn from Master Ng and Ms. Tsang’s wealth of knowledge and experience.
In total, 39 participants from 5 different ITF Taekwon-Do clubs and with representatives from 3 ITF affiliations. The first part of the Workshop lead by Sabum Nim Jennifer covered sparring drills, use of voice projection, footwork and even some take down techniques! Then the fun continues by Sabum Nim Alex Tsang delivered a session with effective self-defense techniques.
