So many, many, memories. I am here in Phoenix, Az. since 1969. A confident, ASU Grad. Award winning, and published, single never married, Polish lady, looking for a husband, ! I am an excellent cook, and I can speak 2 languages and I under stand two others. My family and I moved to NYC, lived there for about 8 yrs, and in 1969, we moved to Phoenix, Az. I hate the summer times, here! On my mother s birthday Aug. 15th, the tempature, was 114 degrees. Ouch,..! I hate Phoenix in the summer- time. I am looking for a husband,...You can find me on face book, under my name. I actually may have citizenship in 3 countries. I learned this most recently. My heritage, is Polish, German, Russian. Maybe 4, something, I need to look into and explore,..further,..!

Food Insider truly is the worst of the big food youtube channels. The editing, presentation, camerawork, it's all so stilted and awkward. Munchies and Eater is leagues ahead.

Pierogi - dumplings are originally from China. Not Poland, Ukraine, Russia or any other Slavic country. Jestem z Polski i wam to pisze.

Dumplings, like soup or cake, are diffrent around the world.
In Spain they have empanadas, in Japan gyoza, in China Jiaozi, in India samosa, in Poland - pierogi (and so on, and so on). They have all their similarities, but at the end of the day are diffrent. They all are just in a dumpling „category”. So please, every country has its own culture and dishes. Don’t get people wrong.
Maybe first dumplings originated from China, but not pierogies.

NYC always receives influxes of dominate immigrants that influence the food culture at the present time the slavic cultures are dominant in the immigration and nycers welcome and entertain all tastes ...thus that newness sells, and on trend ...but being a native its not necessarily the best of NYC food offerings..basically these dumplings are redundant

Their perogies are nothing special and way over priced. $30+ dollars for a dozen when you can get a bag of like 50 for $3-4 at the grocery store and they taste almost the same.
