I'm 45yrs+. Hand to GOD...This man elevated my thinking when I was 14 (the 80s) about that movie _the Ten Commandments._ It used to be on television every Thanksgiving. KRS1 said in one of his videos, "How can this guy (Moses) be under the desert sun all his life, in Africa, and be white?" The revelation was so powerful I, a 14yr old, almost had to sit down. The anger I felt toward myself, for not being able to figure that out on my own NOR that my folks hadn't ever mentioned it, was crushing. Until that moment my idea of Moses had been Charlton Heston. Been watching TV, spoken media, with a side-eye ever since.
@@ASMORPHEUS1979 why? Even modern Egyptians would not explain Mr. Heston's casting. I do think the original reason for the church changing the complexions of biblical figures was for marketing to Vikings and other savages in northern climates. After a few centuries the church won those lands. Maybe it was intended or a happy accident for the ruling elite, either way having these biblical leaders portrayed as light skinned for generations gave them the opportunity to use them as an example of being racially superior to people of a darker complexion. So in the end the domesticated savages of the north viewed the original spreaders of the gospel as savages.
@ASMORPHEUS1979 , the explanation is in the question. They're modern. I don't recall _anyone_ ever mentioning Moses' power of Call-waiting or photo-sharing. 🤨 (...hope the wait wasn't too long...😏)

As a Puerto Rican we all know about colonialism. The island has been dealing with this from Spain and US. Native American Indian and Mexico have been driven from their rightful land and almost wiped out. KrS speaks the truth.
Yet Puerto Rico's people can't seem to vote yes to being a sovereign nation 🤔 what's their excuse
Every country in Africa was colonized except one and that is Ethiopia, South Africa was the last country to gain it's independence in 1994.
@@neilrichardson7454 The problem is the voter turnout was low even though the majority voted for statehood. Also congress has been ignoring their status for years and to top it off they're in debt. In my opinion they should become a state.

Black Americans in New York gave away our cultural elements Rap/“hip hop” to people who were simply guests of our culture Puerto Ricans, Jamaicans and Jews!!!
A guest CANNOT sustain a culture that they had absolutely nothing to do with creating.
Black Americans migrated back to the South and the culture went back to the South.
New York only have remnants of Black American culture and cultural music, nothing else.
Let’s see what the Puerto Ricans and Jamaicans create without being in close proximity to Black Americans.
Right now their children are busy cosplaying Black American cultural music from Chicago😂.

On point! I am a Moroccan ethnicity and grew up in The Netherlands, whenever some Moroccan kid robs a store the newspaper publish it as 'Moroccan man robs store' while whenever a Moroccan playing soccer scores a goal in the worldcup the newspapers publish the title as 'Dutch footballer scores goal in wordcup' So whenever you ask anyone in the Netherlands which minority creates most chaos they'll answer with Moroccan.. We never get any bless and always get put down.. Happens all over.

Welcome to the American journalism!!
White supremacy at work aka racism.😐
Same thing they do here put us in the news bad everyday all day but all the others crimes get covered up furthest it goes is to their own local area weekly paper, and faces never get shown when it makes it to the news identity is always protected but let it be a blk person their face & family is posted multiple times a day and throughout time they even visit in other cases and show these ppl again in other crimes .. happens all the time & when one person does a crime then all blks did it is how it works here!🙄😒

Well, he doesn't seem to on top of history himself. Using the word "colonialism" is simply inaccurate in any modern issues. Whites have lost everything and they have zero power, yet the problems still exist. How does one explain that away in 2024? He's still asleep, sadly.
Puerto Ricans was the orignal b-boy right from the start of the culture of hip hop! as for Jamaicans listen to BDP massive heavy jamaican reggae influence! do the knowledge!
KRS 1 has been shelling out knowledge for years
The state of our music is trash right now. Bring back true R&B
Only way to bring back true R&B is to bring back the artist that sung it and they are mostly old or dead and gone. A newer generation of singers could never recapture the sound you are looking for because times have changed.
@rutherfordjackson7088 actually there are some younger talent that sounds really good. Just not getting much airplay by the folks that perpetrate the destruction of culture

I'm 45yrs+. Hand to GOD...This man elevated my thinking when I was 14 (the 80s) about that movie _the Ten Commandments._ It used to be on television every Thanksgiving. KRS1 said in one of his videos, "How can this guy (Moses) be under the desert sun all his life, in Africa, and be white?"
The revelation was so powerful I, a 14yr old, almost had to sit down. The anger I felt toward myself, for not being able to figure that out on my own NOR that my folks hadn't ever mentioned it, was crushing. Until that moment my idea of Moses had been Charlton Heston.
Been watching TV, spoken media, with a side-eye ever since.
Even the Bible tells us he couldnt have been white but yh I get what you're saying
explain modern Egyptians then. I'll wait.
@@iaintmadatcha You really want to claim the most famous slave owners in history?
(...hope the wait wasn't too long...😏)
