- I loved this new project using Dollar Tree items such as the frames and their new miniature items for Christmas. I'm really proud of how it came out and if I had taken time I know it would have been greater. There is some lost footage I didnt discover till late at night as I put the video together. I hope you will understand how easily I put teh frames together to form the box. This idea of using frames is very familiar and many use it to do many things with them on youtube. I just wanted to do something different like I did with my lighted Halloween Skeleton box. I do hope you enjoy it.
EDIT ON THE GLUE TO USE!!
i failed to let everyone know due to my lost footage that using E6000 glue would be best. I use glue gun for my video purposes so I can do things quickly. The box has been stable thanks to the foam board piece i used at bottom but glass has come off the frame in a couple spots so i suggest using a super glue or E6000 to make it last and much more sturdy

May I suggest finding a used small fish tank from a garage sale or second hand store and doing this inside of a fish tank. You could change the interior with every season or holiday.

I LOVE your Shadow Box, and the way you made it. There are lots of videos on RUclips about how to make Shadow Boxes, but most of them involve using one of those expensive Sissix or Cricut machines that cost about $450! I can't afford that and the way you made your Shadow Box shows that you don't need expensive machines to make a beautiful box like yours. Thank you so much for sharing this great video tutorial. This is totally awesome.. I saw a display at my WalMart one year where they made a scene in an aquarium, but this is even better. Thank you...I have all the pieces from Dollar Tree and now I know how to display them. I was thinking of maybe adding a small round mirror as a pond and adding skaters.

I have to say that I wasn't sure I was going to like the finished project, but I'm glad I watched all the way through!! I LOVE it! I think the bling was throwing me off at first, but it's just the right amount of shimmer for the lights.

Hi! Loved your project. We made five of these for family and friends. We used plexiglass that we had cut to fit top. But a frugal friend suggested we could have taken a frame apart and cut the wood/plastic frame to size and the used clear plastic that some consumer products comes packaged in,( like cosmetic gift sets ). I have now made a note to save some of that plastic for next year's projects! Lol!! The only other aspect we did was to leave the people unglued when giving to a family with children or a person who loves to do crafts or Xmas projects. Plus the snow. We put in cotton from cotton

Use pieces from the garland and twist together to make shape of tiny trees! :)

That is cute! I might do more of a wood lid. But that is a really great idea! I might do something like this sometime for my nativity set! My grandmother made the plaster figurines and painted them. My, then, one year old kept playing with them and dropping them. Luckily nothing broke.

I love your idea...I was also thinking that a person could make a display box from a small aquarium, then all you'd have to do is make a top, and decorate the tank. Just a crazy idea I was thinking off.
