To cut my tin boxes I use an EKCO can opener (before the pull tabs came out).It works very well and so much easier than using tin snips etc. Love your ideas.
Your snow scene shadow boxes are beautiful Chantel. I bought one of those plastic boxes about 20 yes ago in NJ visiting my grandmother and the plastic middle piece inside has a slit where you can slide in a nite but I have a photo of my grandmother and I instead but I think this yr I will make a shadow box with a snowman scene. Maybe with 2 little styrofoam balls glued together. I'm excited about this new craft. The outer tin front has snowmen on it. Your utility knife is identical to mine I bought at Home Depot. I also love your Micky Mouse and Minnie snow globes. I made one with a mini tree and a gold deer last yr out of a poo peanut butter plastic jar and on the outside added irredesent snowflakes here and there on the jar. The top was red but I added a green ribbon and bow. Seeing all the mini toys it gave me an idea to make one for one of the little ones in my family who loves Sponge Bob. Thanks for awesome craft ideas.

I did use a tap boy or ecko can opener to cut my hole in tin box. So easy. I also wrapped with tape to cover rough edges.
