For those wondering, it's 26 grams not ounces. Slight mistake. I have this stove it's great!
I have it too and it seems like a flamethrower on even the lowest setting. Is that normal? Never seen such a sketch flame on a stove before.
Hw definitely doesn't use metric
"At 26 oz it weighs leas than an ounce."
😂✊️🔥✌️💚
I have let this stove burn on high for 1hour as a test, it did great. Still use it
Not this model, but used a similarly sized one for over 5 years. The little work horse has jet to let me down.
This was my first stove. I have use it 100+ times and have worked great. I still use it during my day-trip and have not let me down so far! Excellent product for the price…..
I take it you also have some other stove now as well? What is it, and why?
@@tgeliot I just have one more. An Eurika 2 burner stove which I use when camping with family. For solo camping trips or day trips, I still favor this stove. Simply, it gets the job done for me
I have one that survived my deployment to Afghanistan being used daily for my coffee, tea, and food. Wonderful stove
Thank you for making it back. I keep one in my bugout bag.
awesome

Ive had this stove for a while, its nice but it is small, larger pots/pans wont fit on it well. Just depends what you plan to cook on whether its worth taking
For anyone reading and wondering how much it’ll hold, if you’re very careful you can cook with an 8 inch cast iron😂
I'm just starting backpacking and this stove has been great. Is there better, sure there is but when you just start no need to spend tons of money. You might end up using a different cook system but you need to learn with something. I haven't been in windy conditions, mostly rain so that hasn't been a issue but easy fix with foil. People say it can only boil water but I cook on it no problem. Get a stove that works for your style, Hike your own Hike- Cook your own food.
You had me at titanium.😍
I got the same one of Ali express for £1 and it works just fine!
Great Content on your channel! Thanks
lol I have this thing as a back up luckily haven’t had to use it yet
I love this thing! I bought a view of them because i really like them and i was afraid that they would break fast but its super sturdy aswell.
I suggest researching this stove before you buy it, yes it is cheap and light but it’s not fuel efficient and wind resistant. Consider the Soto Amicus instead, it is light, fuel efficient and wind resistant, although more expensive but worth it in the long run.
Or the Soto WindMaster
It’s great to boil one to two cups of water at a time. I love mine for that purpose. Not so good to cook raw food with, as it creates a tiny very hot spot.
Try a small cast iron cowboy skillet. I think they're 6in across. Cast iron solves the hot spot
Other cool feature is titanium cools so fast it’s crazy. Can pack up by the time you’ve mixed in your instant coffee.
The perfect stove for the backpacker who doesn't care about fuel efficiency or wind performance
How much more fuel efficient is it?
@@willek1335the guys comment means that it isn’t fuel effective
I use mine with aluminum foil as a wind screen and fuel efficiency is more than decent.
Lightest stove. I love mines
@@katiabilodeau So you have to carry something extra which sort of negate the point of a lightest stove lol
Danke!
Thank you!
Emberlit is better in that there is no fuel to run out. It can also hold an alcohol burner or use the solid fuel tabs as well.
Does that have a regulator??
I got one of these, I still prefer my fancee feast and with the BRS you still need to carry a cannister.
Have same for only $6 online. It is titanium and all. Best luck backpackers.
Chinese made
Knockoff models are a plenty and the stove’s pot supports bend. Not the fault of the main company, just a warning
Also they’re incredibly inefficient. As in a 4 minute boil time compared to whatever the pocket rocket 2 achieves. Makes me laugh when people pair it with those 4oz cans
However it’s kinda neat when in use. Owned one and used it once and gave it to a newbie friend as his first stove
Although you can still get it in Australia from overseas stores, Aust has banned it as it is prone to failure
Dude. I love your videos. But “At just 26 ounces… it weighs less than an… ounce” ???
Think you got yer conversions a tad blurry there.. 😂
Meant to say grams. Corrected it on screen but its hard to see. Thanks for watching. I’m glad you enjoy the channel
26 ounces is less than 1 ounce?
Dayz vibes
How warm does it get the top of the fuel canister? I have a lantern that gets very warm when in use…is that normal for isobutane??
Nice 👍
❤❤❤❤❤ mine!!!!!!!! Ol' trusty!!!!!!!!!
Can we test it boiling a pint, as compared to a more established stove? I've had my Optimus Crux folder for 14 years and it is still going strong.
At 26 ozs. It weighs less than One oz. And more than 1 lb. Wow
26 ounces is quite a large discrepancy 😂
26 ounces wheigh lesd than 1 ounce
I corrected myself on the screen.
@@MyLifeOutdoors ik but still funny
Light but just miserable in any breeze let alone wind. Get a Soto Amicus. You will be much happier. 😊
lol i heard 26 ounces and almost clicked off the video
Grams* sorry
Bought it 4 days ago !
I hawe this stowe. Its good.
Πολύ καλό!!το έχω χρόνια!!!
Not a pocket rocket but I like it.
The name is heavier than the stove itself!! 😂😂Just found the channel by the way I'm recovering home from a bad ankle sprains and I have to plan a year around the world backpacking soooo stuck to the couch is the right time to get some tips and tricks you know!!
Why not just retake the clip lol. 26 ounces lighter than an ounce. Quantum physics or something. Because it gets us to comment duhh
Truly has been great with my little pot.
Hey! I have that!
There is no igniter with this. Still, pretty neat. The cheap one on Amazon is 110g, or only about 3.3 oz. That one has an igniter on board.
Nobody should leave home without a lighter or and matches.
@@yogstoriodor But you shouldn't need to use either of those when a $12 Amazon one has a reliable invention to stop their necessity of use every time you want to light a stove...
HI and thanks. Whats your beanie? :)
Is it normal to lose fuel out taking it on and off? Or is mine defective
That’s normal. Got to go fast
That is not a stove but part of it. It is just a burner with a valve and stand.
They bend easily.
The threading failed on my PCT thru-hike, wouldn't screw on any gas can. I suspect they also use titanium even for the threads which is too soft and should be aluminum or even steel for this part.
Seems fine for weekend warriors though.
When is one of the big companies going to replicate this
This stove not the problem it's the fuel source you have to bring
Damn I thought my MSR pocket rocket was light at 73g!
What lighter was that
It’s the Firebiner a carabiner with a flint built in.
60% of the time, it works every time.
What a gadget to fire the gas?
"Im too lazy to fix it"
It’s $4 on aliexpress right now
there are many clones of it, but not all the clones are titanium. You'll see them weigh in from 45 to 75G
Lol these RUclipsrs can’t even record one second of VO to correct their mistake they just cover it up with a band aid
I got 1 because its cheapest i could find.. didn't realise its good
Who cares how much the stoves wieghts when you haveto carry the cannister even when its empty! I'll stick to my fancee feast
26 oz is less than 1 oz
It’s not at all good at high altitudes!! Vary small flame 🔥
it’s a lightweight stove yes, but it isn’t very efficient. the MSR pocket rocket 2 boils water significantly faster. if you wanna waste fuel, buy this stove
those are just 5X the price !
They are trash in any slight breeze
They fail a lot!
Better off with the fire maple 300t looks better works better
How can it be 26 ounces you Muppets
Grams you muppet
He misspoke and made a mistake, not a big deal given the good content and information he provides.
I was trying to make him laugh I never meant any offence I'm in to my bushcraft I live most my life outside it's took me around the world 4x I wish only good for all
The cat food can alcohol stove is lighter and free! ;)
And only takes 2-3 times longer to boil.
Junk.
I dont trust this thing. there is not much distance between the canister and the stove, had two canister wich got bulges in the wrong direction... moved it to the metal recycling
But what is the weight of the fuel container? Notice they don’t even bring that up? Sell sell sell.
uhhhh they are all the same bud. you're joking right?
The smallest fuel can, which seems to be what he's using here, weigh about 200 gr or 7 oz. The thing contains about 100 gr or 3.5 oz of gas. That gives up to 10 L of boiled water. It cost ~5$.
If you're out and about a lot, I recommend refilling from a big can (450 gr.) instead of buying small ones over and over.
Why would you include the weight of the gas canister bc regardless of stove , your gunna use the same canisters 😂😂
@@harryhumphries72 because he asked how much the thing in the video weigh?
@@willek1335 still doesn’t matter
Yeah, grams are an issue in the "not so great" USA
