What a great band, especially when Jimmy Vaughan was still on lead guitar. I saw them open for the Stones in 1981 in Dallas. I also had their Girls Gone Wild album from 1979 on vinyl. I just downloaded the CD version.
Hello! Not to be a stickler..oh..ok then! ;o)...The second song is not called 'pretty baby' it's called 'Riding in the moonlight'...that being straightened up, this is a damn fine version..The Fab T Bırds can do no wrong..;o)
+MA Lonesome I think it originally came from a Frank Frost song called 'My Backscratcher'. What Slim Harpo did was write an answer to that song which is what the T-Birds are covering.
Just like apples or oranges, wine or beer and so on. They are two different people, two different styles, two different approaches. You can appreciate better one or the another, or like them both but in a different way, and that’s it.
Texas blues at its best.

Stevie Ray himself lauded Jimmy's repertoire as incredibly extensive, and felt Jimmy to be the better talent.
