Jimmie Vaughan is sensational on this song and great guitar player..has a terrific voice..this has the rhythem and relics with all the right beats..r u with me? Jimmie is a guitar legend and plays the blue's great..terrific band
I dearly LOVE Stevies music, but I gotta say there is something about Jimmies delivery and style that I like even more. More bluesy and gritty. Love it!
It's like popping and chewing bubblegum Jimmie Vaughan..throw it out there and let it rip where it may..What a sensational guitar sound and the band is not missing a beat..a legend that knows he has a great sound and its flowing with milk and honey..I can swing to this sound all night..
Oh boy !!!! I'd wish that my cradle would have been "rockin' in Austin , Antone's !! And now.....I've to live with this !! In the Netherlands ! Love Jimmy and his music !
Jimmie is the personification of Texan 'lean, mean but understated' blues Clapton himself admits to being terrified when jamming onstage He said Jimmie had the purest interpretation of blues guitar.. period!
I got to know some East Texas/Louisiana players who had moved to Oakland. That fat blue sound travels well. Also, Bob Geddins of Oakland wrote one of SRV's best covers, Tin Pan Alley.
Thats a subject that i would have to disagree with you on...but one of the best blues playerz in history is from there...buddy guy...hes 84 years old and still drawing huge crowds of thousands of young 40 somethin year old fans like myself..peace..blues, boogies, bitches, beer n barbecue
Awesome!!! Splendid!!! Many Thank´s! This is the perfect Sound of Original Fender Stratocasters we missed here in Germany! Have a very nice Day! Jimmie we love you!!! What´s your next Live Concert here in Berlin/Germany? Please don´t forget your Fans in Germany!
lived in Texas Austin during the Antones explosion of talented artist knew Clifford, Stevie n Jimmie. But I am not from Texas just blew in at the right time.
I agree. From Buddy Holly to Ernest Tubb, to the Vaughan brothers to you-name-it, no matter what genre, it seems like my beloved Texas is the center of the music universe.
@Bo Riddley jimmie vaughan is a 10 time better guitar player than his brother and he is still alive and kicking, and again thank you for calling me an idiot
What a guitar blue's player..Jimmy Vaughan..a legend in person singing a terric song..with a great band making certain Jimmy gets that's back scratching on order..enjoy all of Jimmy's performances..Stevie Ray Vaughans idle is Jimmy
Jimmie Lee; the pride of his little brother that got it like I do. The hippest guitar player out there! Add Sue and The Reverend and you are in killer territory!
Nice tribute to Slim Harpo who wrote , sang and played guitar and harp on the oroginal of this song. Slim was the guy Jagger modeled his vocal style on.
I feel like this is the most relaxed I've seen Jimmie play. Maybe because its Antone's. Like being at home. good stuff. Miss Lou Ann Barton's voice, though.
@@DENIEL381 Have you personally heard his "Tone" at a live show? Or are you judging from video or a few audio recordings? Just curious. You are wrong that he is overrated. Why? Jimmie doesn't OVERPLAY like 98% of guitarists. He doesn't rely on distortion to adulterate his playing, his tone is clean. He knows about Dynamics. He knows about Soul. He has extensively educated himself by listening to the best of music and being inspired by it. His playing has class. Great sense of timing, great taste, great abilty to play sparsely. He doesn't play Rock and call it BLUES! Can this be said of Joe Bonnamasa and so many others today? NO. Of course, Jimmy has on and off performances, who doesn't? When Jimmie is ON, he's unique and untouchable.
This is nice and I really love it, but the original version by Slim Harper is a real ass kicker!!! If you haven't heard it, check it out here on the Tube.
I love Stevie and i love Jimmie. Two different styles though. In Jimmie’s style try to “listen” to the spaces in between, the notes that he actually doesn’t play.Very subtile.
It's Sue Foley, folks check her out. She showed up in Austin in the late 80s because that's where the blues resurgence started and she wanted to learn it right! In the 70s, the blues languished, almost disappeared, with all the original stars retired or washing dishes somewhere, Clifford opened Antone's on a shoestring and against all odds not only flourished, but kicked off a blues revival (not the first). Thanks to Stevie and them it went worldwide. The acts had quit touring, and Clifford couldn't afford them anyway, so he would book the stars and get them a pick-up band together. He usually played bass. A lot of Austinites learned at the feet of the masters. Thanks Clifford.

Hey I'm Truly Enjoying This
The 2 coolest cats on the planet right here!
Thanks for this
👍🇦🇺
Jimmy can play all night - I would never get bored.
Man, Jimmie and his little brother Stevie could flat out play. I could listen to them forever!
I dearly LOVE Stevies music, but I gotta say there is something about Jimmies delivery and style that I like even more. More bluesy and gritty. Love it!
yes i agree
More basic and roots based. Mild dirt, tremolo and an old Strat. Just straight ahead blues. SRV incorporated many styles.
Yes, Jimmie definitely has his own unique style and sound.
Stevie was a guitar god. Period.
there is no one I think that picks the strings like he does !! (Yes , maybe Gary Clark Jr. but I see Gary as a "student" and Jimmy as his "teacher" !

2 of the coolest cats on one stage.
Oh boy !!!! I'd wish that my cradle would have been "rockin' in Austin , Antone's !! And now.....I've to live with this !! In the Netherlands ! Love Jimmy and his music !
Im going to Antone's in August to see this place ive only read about.
But every person on that stage are my heros.Texas blues for life!!!
Whats with the wintercap dude? Its kinda weird.
I enjoyed this, I mean ENJOYED, it made me feel goooooooood.
I love Jimmy's straightforward blues style but Stevie makes me CRYYYYYYY!!!!!
Be seeing J Vaughan on October 3 ... 1st time........ can’t wait...
thumb up before listening! the reverend and the man ! sometimes life is so boring or sad, and a little blues gives you the potatoes!
Jimmie is the personification of Texan 'lean, mean but understated' blues
Clapton himself admits to being terrified when jamming onstage
He said Jimmie had the purest interpretation of blues guitar.. period!
Loving The Blues Excellent Song Thank you 🖤💙
The movie Rush brought me here!
Jamming in 2019💜💯
Looks like Chris Whipper Layton on the drums there. Lots of Texas talent on that stage right there.
Yes, I was like who's on drums? Layton. Great to see them together on stage
Ed9870 yep, sure is!
Yes! I was hoping that might have been Reese on keyboard over there. Or was it??
Bill Hudson No, that’s not Reese. Would’ve been nice to see them together again tho!
Sue Foley!
Sit back and enjoy with Jimmie Vaughan the blue's legend that he is..r you with me? SENSATIONAl
saludos from Barcelona....Jimmy is great
Very nice! Thumbs up from Ireland! :)
I was born in La., home of da blues, but, have been gravitating toward Texas style lately
I got to know some East Texas/Louisiana players who had moved to Oakland. That fat blue sound travels well. Also, Bob Geddins of Oakland wrote one of SRV's best covers, Tin Pan Alley.

Great song makes ya feel warm and fuzzy love the Chicken pickin✌️♥️
Jimmie, Whipper and Billy at Antones!
It doesn't get much better!
So good!!! Thank you for posting this!
Jimmie and Billy . Two masters
Gibbons have zero feel for the blues. The other guy is a master of the blues
I bet this was a good night for everyone! Wish we could’ve been there! Can’t make every performance though!
Mpompadour, you hit the nail on the head! I love SRV but Jimmy can hold his own, fo sho!
Together they were devastating.
Wow..what guitar sounds Jimmy Vaughan..sensationally played..back scratching is on its way..sooo fast like..groovy
Wow whippers pocket is amazing. It takes real talent to keep a mega pocket simple and effective like that, how can the band not sound good
Say what you will, but Texas has the best damn musicians in our great Country! The list is as long as the Rio Grande.
It's the water...
Dan Marino Hell yeah!!
I agree. From Buddy Holly to Ernest Tubb, to the Vaughan brothers to you-name-it, no matter what genre, it seems like my beloved Texas is the center of the music universe.
'Whipper' on the skins, the most relaxed drummer ever!
Whipper is KILLIN it
Jimmie Vaughan could write a novel with 5 notes!!
I reckon he's a man that could do it with 3 notes - it what he doesn't play that matters!
HE COULD SING THE PHONE BOOK AND IT WOULD BE GREAT MY PEOPLE THE MUSIC MAN
But he is famous and you are not
@William Price thank you for calling me an idiot.
Jimmie was famous before the world had ever heard of SRV (the fabulous thunderbirds)
@Bo Riddley jimmie vaughan is a 10 time better guitar player than his brother and he is still alive and kicking, and again thank you for calling me an idiot
Mike Flanigin's bass keyboard playing is f'ing brilliant!
The bass is being carried by Billy. Watch where he is strumming and it is clear he is the bass to the gig. He could do it in his sleep.
just watched it again and not sure if he ever leaves the E and A
Bass is organ bass pedals, I know cause I was playin it, just sayin...
@@mikeflanigin9031 BOOM! : )
this Music. and a beer.perfect convination. .and shacking head .and let the World spinning.
noch irgentwelche fragen? einfach nur GEIL!!!!
Meowww..I'll scratch your back Jimmy Vaughan..fantastic

Love this!
RIP Slim - he was THE BEST!!!!
Jimmie Lee; the pride of his little brother that got it like I do. The hippest guitar player out there! Add Sue and The Reverend and you are in killer territory!
Billy doing the chicken scratch ha ha
Jimmie sounds fantastic, carries this well ... harmonica not missed a..tall. Sue and Billy a little hesitant bout stepping into this. Rightly so
Actually, I was just thinking all it needs is a good harmonica to join in!
T-birds
Is that Sue Foley ? Cutest tele player ever and a helluva player
Yep, that's her.
yup
when was this show ?
October 14th, 2016.
Jungle Show - October 14th 2016 - Antone's Austin Texas
Love the Vaughan brother's
Jimmy with Billy Gibbons, wow! Only thing missing is Kim Wilson coming out with his harp. Holy smokes, this is great!
I know, that would be AWESOME with Kim on his harp!
Great stuff!
Ever since i heard Jimmy Vaughan's "Ironic Twist" in the late 90s I knew he was more than just SRV's brother!
I saw Jimmie in 1983 and fell in love
I think you got it backwards and Stevie would be the first one to tell you.
I still rock to "Just got paid", by billy gibbons
Nitty gritty dirt pickin OH MY GOD!!!
Someone else said it: you just don't want him to stop playing.
Nice tribute to Slim Harpo who wrote , sang and played guitar and harp on the oroginal of this song. Slim was the guy Jagger modeled his vocal style on.
Nice work Cale.
now that's a guitar player son
SRV is smiling up above right now.
just great
I feel like this is the most relaxed I've seen Jimmie play. Maybe because its Antone's. Like being at home. good stuff. Miss Lou Ann Barton's voice, though.
Miss Kim Wilson on this one.
A GREAT GREAT JOB OF A MR SLIM HARPO TUNE BUT DONE VERY WELL BY MR JIMMIE VAUGHAN THE MUSIC MAN
Jimmie is just the fattest tone up there. Cool, just behind the beat style and nothing more than necessary.
HE'S OK A LITTLE OVERRATED IN MY OPINION...HORRIBLE PIERCING TONE AND VERY LIMITED ABILITY.
You don't like jimmie you don't like blues. Period.

super song, super musiciens
Represent Texas bad boys
Awesome!!!
Jimmie just plays the right notes. And more importend: he play nothing at the right moment gives that notes extra depth
Man you just want him to keep paying forever:)
Is that Chris Layton on the drums?
Ricardo de Souza Maia Yes!
Ricardo de Souza Maia yep! That’s Chris on the drums!
Slim is smilin......................
Cool!!!!!

Sue is so freaking gorgeous!
Stevie is stit alive in his music

Right on JIMMY V.
Jimmie has great timing!
Jimmie never wastes a note.
she sure brought her game!
Check out Slim Harpo's original from 1966
This is nice and I really love it, but the original version by Slim Harper is a real ass kicker!!! If you haven't heard it, check it out here on the Tube.
Slim HARPO
Cookin.
hats off to chris
I wonder if that is Sue Foley?
joel simms , yes it is.
It is, I was hoping she'd cut loose. One HELL of a GuitarSlinger that Woman is.
I love Stevie and i love Jimmie. Two different styles though. In Jimmie’s style try to “listen” to the spaces in between, the notes that he actually doesn’t play.Very subtile.
Somebody's gotta do it might as well be JV. Who's the fetching beatnik on the Teleblaster?
That would be Sue G. Krebs, if I'm not mistaken!
@@stephenmcbride5734 yeah..you are mistaken.

u guys need to take care of tommy ,
Is that also Debbie Davies? Another star
Sue Foley.
Jimmy ok keep the bronze in the public
Its good that stevie wasnt on stage, because nobody would be able to keep up with him
With Sue Foley?
She didn't play with them this year.
Jimmie ain’t no slouch either!
Good performance, but without harmonica this tune i missing its very soul.
Is he through a fender Twin reverb?
SRV’s drummer
to jadexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Although i think that he digs deeper playing a telecaster.
is jimmie vaughan stevie ray vaughn brother?
Yes, he is his older brother.
@@caleyarboroughTX thank you, they are extraordinary musicians.
Sue Foley looking so fine.
