- This is a fix I did on a Yamaha Fzs1000 Fazer Exup servo. It should be the same principal on most of the Exup Servos on other Yamahas with the Exup valve fitted. Its also a must to check the actual Exup valve in the exhaust is moving freely and the two cables are in good condition and tensioned correctly. Hope it helps
very nice description. as a photographer when your showing closeup work have a black or grey sheet behind your subject. your focus will stay spot on. now I know how to fix mine!
@@sekaf4125 Glad it helped and thanks for the tip, will do that next time 👍
@@motorcyclerevivaluk741 I really do appreciate the how to’s. I live in Island in Southeast Alaska so this is very helpful.
@@sekaf4125 oh wow, well I'm afraid if the bike does need any work by me I won't be able to collect it but I'm more than happy to help out here if you need to know anything 😁
Hi, I don't own an R1 yet, but I know I will come back to this video once I do own one. Thank you for making this small tutorial! Knowledge is priceless.
Pleasure, thanks for the comment 👍
Thanks a lot for the video!! I have a 2001 fz1 with the same fault code. A new servo is 300 dollars. I’m gonna clean mine too. Thanks again.
V. helpful video, thanks
What was the exact symptoms with this Exup servo?
Mine seem to open very late and is hesitant to open at all before 7k rpm.
Hello is it ok to remove exhaust servo motor?
Hi, thanks for the video!
Is there a repair kit for striped cogs?
I honestly don't know but I would imagine yamaha would only sell the complete unit and I bet it's not cheap
Your a camping thanks mate mine been playing up did not know you can services them so thank I will fix mine hey you know how much fork oil to go in the forks
Glad it helped, let me know exact model and year and I can tell you fork oil specs 👍
Awesome thanks for fast reply I have Yamaha for 250 2kr 1989 or 90 mine a import so they stamp new year on it thanks again Mick
Ok I believe the fork specs are the same as for the 3LN model which would be 10w fork oil at 390ml in each fork and a final measurement of 106mm from the top of the fork tube down to the oil level, this would be without the spring and tube fully down, hope it helps 👍
MUCH thanks for the information
Hey ! Thanks for the video, my unit has a grease from factory and I’m seeing that you have cleaned yours completely. Did you mounted it back with no grease at all ? Thanks 🙏🏼
I put some grease back in there, I should have said in the video but yes there should be grease there 👍
@@motorcyclerevivaluk741 Thank you sir
Just remove it entirely
