Great work, thanks. I have a DT125R here in the UK, they aren't fitted with the PV servo as std, I have fitted one to mine and it makes a hell of a difference to the performance, now yours is working it will make a great bike even better.
I've got a 1988 dt200 very similar bike and I've been having issues with my power valve for months! This video definitely gave me a better understanding of how it's supposed to work. Thanks for the great content!
I bought at dt200 that was rebuilt by the previous owner, the bike was gutless. The servo was moving but upon inspection in the exhaust port i found the power valve was upside down. Cleaned it up and installed the correct way. The power differences was mind blowing lol
Hi there, how it was without the valve not working ? I’m going to swap the engine and installed in a small Yamaha blaster for my son but dot know how to make the valve working , there is not harness or wiring on the blaster to give valve the necessary info to make it work , any idea? Can I just leave the valve wide open and the engine still will work ? Thanks a lot
Yes the engine still works with the valve open. And it still has good power. The valve gives quite a bit more snap on the bottom, but if you have never ridden with the valve working, you likely wouldn’t even notice.
My bike has problems to my power valve servo moves bike has problems stalling when coming to a stop also has issues with toppend power I can't get the bike to go faster the 60 km any idea
@MUDBRATS // SNOWBRATS hi thanks for responding since I wrote this message my frend has taken apart the entire engine we discovered the power valve was installed upside down also crank seals where leaking so I decided to do a complete rebuild thanks again for responding
Excellent video. I wish This had been available 6 months ago. My servo wasn’t working - same as yours the motor wouldn’t move. I had to buy one from ebay $$$! The 3ET is rare as it is the 3 wire servo with controller onboard - other ypvs have separate controller box. Can I post a link to where you got your new motor - I’m going to repair my old one now!
Thank-you! if you expand the video description i state the name and model of this motor - it was 9.99usd last fall. There are tons avail on ebay. Good luck on the rebuild, let me know how it goes
Hi there isn't there another more powerful Moto what would fit ? The one you put on seems slow in motion it's meant to be more faster in the pv cleaning cycle when it makes the noise thinking maybe more powerful battery similar in size may be more beneficial as to rpm's
Mine quit awhile back and its the yamaha chip i think, because the motor works and the capacitors on the circuit board are good so I bought a new, old stock dtr125 3 wire servo on ebayuk, it was from a yamaha dealer, it never even had the grommets, the tzr125, dtr125, sachs 125, Dt200 R 3 wire servos are all the same, I fixed my DT200L servo by replacing the motor, thank god because the controller is seperate, you can pin them open but you loose all bottomend basically but once it hits 6000rpm it hits like a freight train lol
thanks for the insight - will definitely help other viewers who have YPVS issues beyond the servo motor! I agree you could leave it open but its a different bike and loads of even power and torque now the YPVS works - wheeeeeeeelie!

You are awesome! Thank you very much from an owner of a DT125 in Germany.

Every Video up until this video was on the bike with a broken servo motor/open Valve
Any chance you remember where you got the "new" servo motor from? I can't find one
you can find them everwhere - ebay for sure
U want to get a dep exhaust for it because some standard exhaust have baffles in them to restrict the power to specific hp to specific bike licence
I would love to put one on!
@mudbrats 👍👍
Great video! How did you find the power gains with a working YPVS?
Night and Day - A lot more snappy bottom to mid range. Really Livened up the bike. Thanks so much for your insight in this!!!!
Mine was the signal wire black yellow had fatigued just before the servo body
lucky!
How did you tried if it works once you had everything put together?
yes - it added a lot of power on the bottom! its crazy snappy now
Hi could someone please explain what motor I will need to order as I don't no which one to order ? Or will any motor work thanks
The replacement motor we used was 9.99 USD and called: RS-385 High Speed Micro DC Motor Brushed Metal Stainless Steel Gear Motor
My bike has problems to my power valve servo moves bike has problems stalling when coming to a stop also has issues with toppend power I can't get the bike to go faster the 60 km any idea
likely carburator or compression - maybe needs to be rebuilt

Hi could you explain what I put in the ebay search bar to find the right motor thanks ?
There's just loads of different one's on ebay and am unsure which one I need
@@harryshann2039 look in the other comments or in the video description - i put the exact name there
Where can I found that motor for sale ?
info is in the description of the video - ebay is also a good resource

it worked fine with the valve wide open. Was still a powerful little bike. But the Power Valve adds snappiness to the bottom RPM
