Seattle in its final years in the AFC, then the Houston Texans came and the Seahawks became an NFC team. Who would have thought that Peyton Manning would face the Seahawks in a Super Bowl? Moose Johnston’s (Kevin Harlan’s analyst) only year at CBS. He would join Fox next season. He’s still there.
Johnston was original their number 7 analyst on their depth chart (he would have only called games part-time) but he got promoted when Sam Wyche had to sit the season out.
Hope to see 49ers vs. Cardinals from Week 5 of 2004 on this channel sometime, please! That game featured Fitz’s first NFL TD and a wild comeback by SF.
James is probably the most patient runner I've seen. Always looked like he took a lot of time to follow his blockers to the point where it would be hinderance, yet he would magically still glide upfield for yards. It was strange.
Don’t think you can see it (and hear it) in this footage, but there were a couple moments where the Seahawks offense got a bit disconcerted at the line of scrimmage because the crowd was reacting to the Mariners game. They were playing in Game 5 of the ALCS against the Yankees that day.
Shaun Alexander was such a great, reliable player. People never seemed to give Marvin Harrison enough recognition, but he's a top 5 WR all time in my book, hard-worker with spectacular work ethic, plus very soft hands. I miss those times, fewer cry babies and fewer entitled players.

That knee injury is so noticeable when you see how much more explosive he was before. A lot of the runs in this game would have been huge chunks if he was still as fast and agile
3:56 literally textbook illegal block in open field no less and not called on the visiting team, lol. And then several plays later on third down and after forcing and incompletion, the funky penalty on the defense, continuing the Colts drive. Manning effect.

True, but most of the yards were tough ones well earned, lowering the shoulder and stumbling through tackles. The type of style the old-school backs respect
