    Edgerrin James, Robert Smith, Eddie George, Mike Anderson, Corey Dillon, Fred Taylor, Jamal Lewis, Marshall Faulk, Jerome Bettis, Stephen Davis, Ricky Watters, Curtis Martin, Emmitt Smith, etc.

    While Ricky Williams was considered to be the heavy favorite to be the 1st running back selected in the 1999 NFL Draft, the Colts surprised just about everyone and took Edgerrin James 4th overall and it worked out tremendously.

      Yes, I always loved to watch him run, he was so smooth and patient in reading and setting up his blocks. It's awesome that Edge an d Peyton will go in the hall of Fame at the same time!

      @@bryanelam7431 ill never forget my first time watching him vs the ucla bruins who were playing for a a guaranteed bid in the national title vs tennessee that year if they had won and he literally ran for 300 yards and this was just before miami had Ken Dorsey when they went on that run of dominance in the early 2000s if anyone remembers

      Polian's two best decisions were choosing Payton Manning ahead of Ryan Leaf and the next year taking Edgerrin James ahead of Ricky Williams.

    So much cool history here as a Seahawk fan. The end of these uniforms, Alexander's rookie year, Brock Huard, and playing at Husky Stadium while the new stadium was being built.

    Seattle in its final years in the AFC, then the Houston Texans came and the Seahawks became an NFC team.
    Who would have thought that Peyton Manning would face the Seahawks in a Super Bowl?
    Moose Johnston’s (Kevin Harlan’s analyst) only year at CBS. He would join Fox next season. He’s still there.

      Johnston was original their number 7 analyst on their depth chart (he would have only called games part-time) but he got promoted when Sam Wyche had to sit the season out.

    James is probably the most patient runner I've seen. Always looked like he took a lot of time to follow his blockers to the point where it would be hinderance, yet he would magically still glide upfield for yards. It was strange.

    Don’t think you can see it (and hear it) in this footage, but there were a couple moments where the Seahawks offense got a bit disconcerted at the line of scrimmage because the crowd was reacting to the Mariners game.
    They were playing in Game 5 of the ALCS against the Yankees that day.

    I was at this game. Manning threw for 300, James ran for 200, and Harrison had 100. A great game for the Colts.

    Shaun Alexander was such a great, reliable player. People never seemed to give Marvin Harrison enough recognition, but he's a top 5 WR all time in my book, hard-worker with spectacular work ethic, plus very soft hands. I miss those times, fewer cry babies and fewer entitled players.

    Edgerrin is deservedly in the Hall but his numbers could have been greater had he not tore his ACL his third year. How many RBs in league history have been as dominant their first two seasons as he was?

      That knee injury is so noticeable when you see how much more explosive he was before. A lot of the runs in this game would have been huge chunks if he was still as fast and agile

    3:56 literally textbook illegal block in open field no less and not called on the visiting team, lol. And then several plays later on third down and after forcing and incompletion, the funky penalty on the defense, continuing the Colts drive.

    Wow, you know it's old when you see Seattle playing on the Huskies' stadium. This was Seattle's final years as an AFC team. This was Shaun Alexander's rookie year too. He came close the year before with Alabama to win the orange bowl but lost to the Tom Brady led Michigan Wolverines.

    Gawd, I cannot stand the Seahawks old Home uniforms. Back in 2001 I wrote their organization an email telling them to change these dreaded uniforms, and I got a response back telling me to wait. So for a month, I knew they were going to change their uniforms while very few others knew. Those 2002 uniforms were not super impressive, but their Home uniform was better than the old ones.
