  • One Mukwonago man's passion has become his profession, but it all happened by accident.
James Srnec got one arcade game, and then another, and another, and another, and another until his house was full of them. Then he decided to open his own business. That's exactly what he did. Srnec opened Vintage Vault Arcade in Mukwonago in January 2023.
Since then, business has been so good he is already looking to expand.
"To be honest, I wish I would have done it sooner because I would be bigger than I am now," Srnec said.

@jimnpen8451 yeah and pinball machines are notorious for breaking down. There's over a mile of wiring inside them and so many moving parts

If you can't afford retail space right away, spread them out to local businesses on commission.

20$ for the whole day not bad I wonder how he keeps track of the people and if it’s enough for the bills

ok but what if someone just enter an play without giving you 20 dollars. or if a group come and only one person pays 20 dollars the other just stand back then pretend they won't play and then they play

Unfortunately, unless you live in a super tourist town, these retro arcades tend to fail. Once people have scratched their nostalgia itch, a lot of them don't come back. I'd be surprised if it pays for the electricity bill, but I really hope it thrives

The video says that the business is expanding. So he must be doing something right in order to afford an expansion.
