It was clever of them having two film sets, one was said to be real and the other remake with a well-known actress. plus, the beginning with the actress and the man responsible for making the movies making statements of the movie being based on the truth of the story (I thought they would have gotten into legal trouble saying it's a real story). There is a radio show bases on UFO's, bigfoot encounters, ghost (1120am radio). I just happen to listen to this station when the movie is the topic, the guest were real live UFO investigators. They said the man who also made the statement about the reality of the of the story and wrote the screen play, paid them a visit. Asking a lot of questions and receiving from the investigator's tons of information and then left without notice with their work, later this movie came out. P.S. during the movie when the ship came up to the house, I freaked, thinking it was real!
Whenever I show people this movie, I tell them it's a real documentary first. It's not until after the movie is over that I reveal the truth. A lot of people harp on the movie for trying to present itself as a true story, but in my opinion it's not much different than films like Blair Witch and the like. It accentuates the horror.
I made the mistake of watching this movie at the age of 13. Instant regret! It gave me nightmares and I was afraid to watch it or even go near it. When I found out that it wasn't real, it lessened my fear of it. But not by much, it doesn't bother me as much anymore. But, it's still unnerving. We never actually see the aliens. Only their presence is felt, their distorted voices and their shadows are seen. And the fact that they can supposedly turn into barn owls. This movie isn't that great, but it made people fear *owls!*
@@CLASSIFIED-io7nv the alien theory is much more real than the idea of angels and demons I’ll say that. This information has always been kept a secret, we are not alone. We have never been alone
I need to watch this with my horror movie loving son! It's pretty hard to freak him out, but this might do it! I think this movie is terrifying and I'm a huge horror fan and not much gets to me, but this movie definitely did!
They did NOT have to go this hard with this movie, but it’s amazing that they did. Those aliens are completely terrifying! And we didn’t even see them!
I think what’s scary to me is the fact that realistically we live in one planet, there’s billions and billions of planets and to be honest, I can’t really 100% think that were the only ones in the entire galaxy
I dont think its scary. I do think theres other "animals" out there. But I do think humans are unique and the likelihood of their being more. With the technology to do anything is pretty small.
I mean, I may sound schizo here but what the fuck, we're all talking about aliens anyway. Here's my take : These beings, what people call aliens, gods, angels, demons, even maybe ghosts and the wole ufo thing may be beings from an other dimension rather than from another planet. Maybe they're so higher up in the consciousness / technological scale that they manage to travel through the dimensional fiber meanwhile we, are only stuck with a limited perception of what's all arround us and how this world really works.
We absolutely are not, and I think it’s incredible to think about. I do not think that any other race in the universe could travel to our planet if we cannot travel to theirs because they at least live in the same universe with the same rules as us where we couldn’t ever hope to travel light years in a short time. So beyond that all there is to think about it the fact that so many galaxies exist that we can’t even fathom ever reaching. And if we are here, then there is definitely another earth-like planet with life existing elsewhere. There could be humans on other planets in other galaxies wondering if we are out here. That’s not scary, that’s amazing. The only bummer is we may never know.
I watched it when I was a kid first, I was so terrified I couldn’t sleep for so long, now when I watch it I can’t help but laugh lmao, I can’t see what was so scary back in a day
It makes me laugh histerically When i recreate the levitating scene by just holding the elbow sits of my office chair and rise my trembling legs. Theres a comic aspect to it. But i stil am traumatized by the movie and also by the concept and actor's performances.

Every time I watch this which I literally just finished doing... Its like bravo.. Especially the 2000 footage actors!!! Abigail from 2000's the look of despair and sadness and heart brokeness In her eyes is iconic!!!
If you watch the film, it goes into "ancient aliens" theory that what we've been worshipping as angels, demons, Gods, etc are actually aliens. It's pretending to be God to scare her.
Aliens may be what most religions call "demons". Beings from another dimension that have the upper hands on us on every aspect, and not so good intentions for the rest of us.
My theory is when the aliens abducted these people, they stuck an intergalactic walkie-talkie up their asses (or somewhere in their body) with the infamous alien probe, and used them as a communication device. But alas, their signal sucks. It’s mostly garbled nonsense. Their technology and intelligence is rather limited, I’d say. Or they’re just dicks who like to scare and torture humans for fun. “BRGGGCHHHHLNNNMMMMMUUUGGGHHHHGGGUHHHGHH” Apparently that means, “Truth remains” in Sumerian. How do they not realize Sumarian is an ancient DEAD LANGUAGE? Why not just speak English if they want to get a message to us, if they’re so omnipotent? And for that matter, why not just drop a note or send an email instead? 😂
I've never known aliens to possess people but if it were a demon it would have never left. Her jaw got dislocated from it speaking through her which is also something I've never known demons to do
Who taught you about how demons work? The bible ? Where is the proof to demons and angels? The funniest thing is that we don’t need proof to support god. We literally have evidence of ufo phenomenon in the world and people think it’s bs. The way religion has brainwashed the masses is astounding

I'm one of those old school movies defender, I'm one of those who think that current horror movies sucks really bad because they are so predictable, my favorite horror movie of all times is and surely will be The Exorcist, but man this movie!! First of all is different from the rest because is a Sci-Fi movie not a horror movie per se and it open our eyes to something we have never, probably, considered in the past, whenever we think of aliens we imagine those skinny white beings with big eyes, small nose who don't talk, but the universe is so goddamn big, therefore many many different types of beings out there with different ways of communicating and living and skills, imagine those who in order to talk to you needs to posses you o use you as a transmitter device, freaking scary!!
What truly bothers me about people is that subtle little thing behind us all that made us all immediately and without hesitation accept that this film was about aliens. The entity states that it is God at the end. God returning to this Earth could look something like this. Horrifying, misinterpretable, and outside of our scope of thought. Nothing prevents God from possessing shapes and ways outside what we've written about it. Yes, I do think God is an It.
These were aliens. This movie was all about the "ancient aliens" theory that aliens have been visiting Earth for thousands of years, and because we were an underdeveloped species, we thought they were gods and should be worshipped. It's playing God because that's what people think it is. The aliens in this movie are sadistic, they're abducting, killing and torturing people for fun.
3:17 the song Hybridization by Aversions Crown used the alien speaking as the song ended. After 4 years of wondering if the audio was legit, I can now be happy.

Yeah I like 12 when I saw this in theaters and barely remember the plot but man the alien scenes gave me nightmares and made me afraid to look out my window at night loo

@@autumnmekish44 pretty sure it’s fake
@@frankiegarcia2488
The movie is 100% fake. The only thing real about the movie is that this town has an extremely disproportionate rate of disappearances and FBI visits each year, but in real life this associated to the harsh conditions of the town and it's relative seclusion from big human society. It makes people go a little crazy, and then years later they're found buried in snow by FBI agents who came to investigate the disappearances.
Ya, same boat. It had potential to be a greater horror.

The movie is so boring
This movie really scared the shit out of me. The scariest movie imo.
Whenever I show people this movie, I tell them it's a real documentary first. It's not until after the movie is over that I reveal the truth. A lot of people harp on the movie for trying to present itself as a true story, but in my opinion it's not much different than films like Blair Witch and the like. It accentuates the horror.
If the people you showed this actually beloved it’s a real documentary, they’re incredibly stupid.
Exactly. It’s all fake haha
Only idiots would believe this is a real docu.

But not by much, it doesn't bother me as much anymore. But, it's still unnerving. We never actually see the aliens. Only their presence is felt, their distorted voices and their shadows are seen. And the fact that they can supposedly turn into barn owls.

Oogabooga
They did NOT have to go this hard with this movie, but it’s amazing that they did. Those aliens are completely terrifying! And we didn’t even see them!
I think what’s scary to me is the fact that realistically we live in one planet, there’s billions and billions of planets and to be honest, I can’t really 100% think that were the only ones in the entire galaxy
I dont think its scary. I do think theres other "animals" out there. But I do think humans are unique and the likelihood of their being more. With the technology to do anything is pretty small.
There are trillions of planets out there. To think earth is the only one capable of sustaining life is absurd.
@@naylik2562 thats a good take.
I LOVED THIS MOVIE! this was my freshman year of high school haha
I watched it when I was a kid first, I was so terrified I couldn’t sleep for so long, now when I watch it I can’t help but laugh lmao, I can’t see what was so scary back in a day

How does one simply "Get possessed by an alien".
If you watch the film, it goes into "ancient aliens" theory that what we've been worshipping as angels, demons, Gods, etc are actually aliens. It's pretending to be God to scare her.
Brainwashed not possessed. Take our modern media for example, constant bombardment of ads, repeatable 8 second messages, specially 8s message.
“BRGGGCHHHHLNNNMMMMMUUUGGGHHHHGGGUHHHGHH”
Apparently that means, “Truth remains” in Sumerian.
How do they not realize Sumarian is an ancient DEAD LANGUAGE? Why not just speak English if they want to get a message to us, if they’re so omnipotent?
And for that matter, why not just drop a note or send an email instead? 😂
Aliens aren't physical beings like the public thinks they are. you have no idea what they are capable of doing to us, you will soon though
Outstanding camera work..
I've never known aliens to possess people but if it were a demon it would have never left. Her jaw got dislocated from it speaking through her which is also something I've never known demons to do

If you like this the 80s movie Communion will shit you up.
Me in present ; They’re here.
Me in future ; Always have been.
Even study about what scientists are studying and finding in ancient sumeria all the way up to now
What truly bothers me about people is that subtle little thing behind us all that made us all immediately and without hesitation accept that this film was about aliens. The entity states that it is God at the end. God returning to this Earth could look something like this. Horrifying, misinterpretable, and outside of our scope of thought. Nothing prevents God from possessing shapes and ways outside what we've written about it. Yes, I do think God is an It.
these were demons. not aliens that’s what i think.
This is everything but God
These were aliens. This movie was all about the "ancient aliens" theory that aliens have been visiting Earth for thousands of years, and because we were an underdeveloped species, we thought they were gods and should be worshipped. It's playing God because that's what people think it is. The aliens in this movie are sadistic, they're abducting, killing and torturing people for fun.
Nope.
They are fallen angels or demons.
There are few movies that traumatize. This is one that does.
