- Know Me 2083, some very cute overalls. I love the ruffle around the bib. I made a few changes to get the overalls to fit. I said I didn't want to use denim fabric. I sew with denim a lot. I went fabric shopping at Joann Fabrics and Hobby Lobby. Let's see what happened.

Okay, this doesn't make no since you are the teacher and I am the student. I pay close attention to the assignment so that I can score an A on my garments. I like your eye for fashion. ❤....this outfit is so cute.
lol. I love it. Thank you so much. This was a fun one for sure.
The cutest jumpsuit I’ve ever seen
@@helenfillmore3063 Aww. How sweet. Thank you so much. I had fun making this. Couldn’t wait to try it on.
You are the Queen of Denim. Even a little bit in the patchwork was enough for your magic.
@@lw1829 Awww. That is so sweet. Thank you so much. I LOVE denim. It’s my absolute fabric favorite. I feel honored to be called the Queen of denim. :)
That navy fabric with the leaves on it was soooooooo cute!
And ma’am! You are killing that look! I haven’t seen patchwork look so good! ❤
I thought that navy fabric was cute too. I almost bought some. Thank you so so much. I loved that patchwork fabric. I was so happy when I saw it. I felt like it was my lucky day. 😂
That fabric made them so cool! They're like 'scarecrow chic' and I mean no disrespect by that! Very cool!
Thank you so much. I think the fabric is really cool. So many things that can be made with it. I was so happy to snatch some up. :)
I just got an idea looking at your hobby lobby purchase. What a great scrap buster idea. I have lots of remnant denim and plenty of scrap fabric to make my own yardage. It look like they serged them together or they serged each piece then sewed them? Your project is beautiful
Yes!!! The individual squares do appear to have serged stitches on the raw edges, and then the pieces look to be stitched together. Definitely a great way to use up scrap fabric. Great idea! Thank you so very much.
Those are so cute! I am glad the algorithm brought me here!
Aww. Thank you. I’m glad too. Thanks for being here.
I really love the jumpsuit, the patchwork fabric is so pretty. The shorts you made are really cute.
@@vickipatridge5094 I fell in love with the patchwork fabric. Thank you so so much. :)
I love that fabric! It is so fun, and perfect for fall.
@@jessikaj.create I thought the same thing. Thank you.
Love the material! I can also see it as a Shirt Dress!
I'm so with you. I love the material tooooooo, and yes. I can definitely see a shirt dress in this fabric for sure!
That looks nice , i'm ❤ing that beautiful fabric
I fell in love with the fabric!!! Thank you so much. So glad you're loving the fabric too. I get happy just looking at it. :)
No denim? No problem! Love the outcome. I appreciate your adjustments and explanations. You look fantastic. I think the back pockets are cute!
Lol. Hi, Janis. I'm always making things out of denim so I wanted to try something different this time around. Thank you so very much for your kind words and your feedback about the explanations. So helpful. Thanks again!!
I had passed up on that pattern because I thought it was for knits. I can't wait to buy it. I have the perfect denim for it. Thanks for sharing
I’m so happy you’re planning to pick this pattern up and that you have the perfect fabric for it. That’s great. I think you’re going to love these. You’re so welcome!!
Oh my god! That’s adorable!
@@jmsmom67 Awwww. Thank you so so much. :)
Now I'm going to have to go back to hobby lobby. With I had seen this fabric last week when they were 40% off a yard. Love that patchwork denim print.
@@yahwehisontheway5094 I loved it too. I hope you are able to get some. It really sews up nicely.
I purchased that cotton shirting that you had in your cart (@16:15/15:11) from Joann's.. I bought 3 yds not knowing what I was gonna use it for. I knew I wanted to make a pants suit at some point so I went back the next day and got 3 more yards. It's still sitting on the shelf, but seeing it in your video, out of all the fabric in Joann"s, I know I'm gonna make something next week. Btw, I'm 72 yrs old and I don't sew much anymore but I just enjoy your videos so much. God bless you.
Awwww. Hi, Mary. Your comment put the biggest smile on my face. I'm so happy you enjoy the videos. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I greatly appreciate it. That cotton shirting from Joann is so nice!!! I definitely considered getting it for this project. So glad you were able to go back and get more, and so happy to hear you'll be using that fabric next week. That's awesome. Have fun sewing. God bless you also. Thanks again.
That's an absolutely GORGEGOUS overalls! 🥰 I love everything about it and it looks so cute on you too! I'm really happy you tried the Falafel's again...I love them!
@@myralorraine Hi, my friend. Thank you so much. I feel so lucky to have found the fabric when I did. Aww. I didn’t know you love Falafels. I’m really happy I gave them another try too. It seems that they taste a bit different depending on where they’re made.
@@Manecoarse Yes, they do!
I’m so in love with your jumpsuit! That fabric is everything! I’m definitely going to Hobby Lobby to look for that fabric!
Thank you so so much. I fell in love with the fabric. I hope you are able to find some when you go looking!!
Cute. I made overalls using patchwork fabric
Ooooh, yes!!! I bet they are so nice. Love the whole idea of it. Thank you so much.
I wasn't too sure at first but once again you did a great job!

@@MadeByPam Hi, Pam. Thank you so much.
Very nice, sooooo cute! ❤
Thank you so so much!! So happy I did a little bit of shopping around and found something at my last stop. Whew. :)
Wow Manecourse, I can't even imagine a fabric shop like that! I live in South Africa and our resources are limited. Spectacular 😂
@@sallyadams3981 Aww. Thank you so much. I am always amazed seeing what fabric is in store. South Africa? Wow!!! :)
It's an interesting country, going through a lot of changes, political and social. We have extreme poverty and equally extreme wealth. Our political leaders are very corrupt which is awful. They don't even try to hide it. I also have lived in Santiago in Chile, which was the most stable South American country at the time. Nearly no corruption. This gives me hope, that a country can change like Chile did.
I do love your gentle ways and dashing style. May I ask how tall are you, dear?
@@sallyadams3981 Wow. Very interesting and so cool to experience living in different environments. That’s beautiful. Thank you for the kind words. I’m five four.
And lovely and slender. You are a delightful young lass.

So cute!!!🥰🥰
Thank you so very much!!!
So, so cute. The madras is a good look!
Thank you so much. The madras definitely helped give the different look I was going for. So happy to have found that fabric.
Those look so cute on you! Great job on the fitting!!! Perfect!! I love hearing how you do your pattern adjusting 😊 Alicia
Hi, Alicia. Thank you so much. I really appreciate the feedback regarding hearing how I do pattern adjusting. Very helpful!!
Wow soooo pretty ❤
Thank you. The fabric was a lucky find.
Omg this is super cute!!! I’m about to drag my husband to hobby lobby to see if I can find the same fabric.
Yes!! I love that. I hope you find this fabric. :) Thank you so much.
Those fit so beautifully! Really great job on all the pattern adjustments.
Thank you so much. I greatly appreciate it.
Those ruffles are the bomb!!!!
The ruffles around the bib sold me on this pattern for sure!!!
They turned out very cute and what a great fit!!
Hi, Pam. Thank you so much!! They are fun to wear.
Oh wow! The overalls came out SO good!!
Thank you so much! This was another pattern I couldn't wait to give a try.
Now see! I have been eyeballing that fabric since it came to my store and I convinced myself to not get it…. Now, I’ll be good there to pick up about seven yards myself… I have no self control! You’ve even convinced me to buy the pattern when it gets to my store, but I’ll probably make that in a solid or camouflage ! Super duper CUTE!!! Love it Tfs!!!
@@CreativiteeByT Lol. Yes! I’m so glad you’re planning to pick this fabric up. I can envision so many garments in this fabric, even accessories. A hat would be super cute. Now I might have to see if my store still has some left. lol. This pattern in camo sounds amazing. I love that idea!! Thank you so so much.
@@Manecoarse I now have ALL the fabric from my store!!! LOL🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@maxinekershaw9756 So cool you found it. Sounds like a great plan to check back next week :)
Your overalls are so cute and the fit is spot on! How do you get pants to fit you so well? Do you have a pants block? I always struggle with getting the fit right with pant patterns. Love your content! ❤️
@@dianem8358 Thank you so very much. I played around with muslins until I figured out what generally works for me. The changes I made to the pattern this time were changes I decided to try out after making a pair of pants in a size ten once before. It’s really been trial and error, honestly. Now that I like the way these adjustments worked out, I’ll continue to make the same adjustments if I make a size too big, like a ten, I know I’ll need to reduce the crotch. If I want the pants to hug the back curve more, I will scoop in a bit. It’s just been trying different things until I feel happy. When I make a size 8, I usually don’t raise the crotch. I don’t have a pants block. Having one I’m sure would’ve been very helpful. :) Hope that helps. I struggled for a while and just kept trying different things. You can do it!!!
@@Manecoarse Thank you for taking the time to explain. You’ve inspired me to keep trying. ❤️
@@dianem8358 Yes. Please keep trying. It will get better. You are most welcome. No worries at all.
What is the material that you made the shirt dress out of? I have that pattern and I like that you made it into a dress.
@@helenfillmore3063 Thank you. It’s cotton fabric.
The overalls and the shorts are great! Now, what are you going to do with the five yards of madras you went back for...🤔😄?!?
@@MaryCunningham-u5j Good question. 😉 :). Thank you so so much.
Ok, so I have a question. What were your thoughts or process as you made the adjustments in the pant area. It seems that you knew how much and how little to adjust and I love seeing you do that 😊
@@lynetterene The smallest size was a ten in this pattern. I knew it would be too big. I usually fold the crotch area up by a half inch. I decided to fold up 5/8 of an inch this time and scoop in just to get a little better/closer fit, something I decided to do after making a size ten pants pattern in the past. I hope that helps. Thanks for asking. :)
@Manecoarse It does help for me to see or know your thought process in this. Thank you so much sweetie 💕
