The grace that you both have, is amazing! You are personable, familiar, warm, so humble - authentically African in that sense (westerners sometimes mistaken it for being shy, bashful, reserved or aloof but its far from it; I recognise that sense of humility). Youve done well to bring us closer and create goodwill and friendship.
Looking forward to hosting you in November. Do reach out and let us link you to local content creators that can make the visit more meaningful and give you context of things and perhaps give you a more homely experience - so you can also experience it with locals. We are incredibly warm and inviting and would love to share that with you.
Yes
Wow. Thank you so much, @Vaal, for your kind words and warm-heartedness. We look forward to meeting you and getting a local experience of SA. Your kindness melts my heart. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly. Kindly send me a message on Instagram at Liv Kenya so that I can get your contacts.
One thing you will notice about Namibia 🇳🇦, Botswana 🇧🇼 Zambia 🇿🇲 are full of South African shops. Therefore from South African point of view, Shopping won’t be much different and won’t give you experience but culture will.
People in Southern Africa have certain predominant or common physical features - one of them is that we tend to be relatively shorter in stature; lighter in shade/complexion and coarse and short/brittle hair texture. Now - look very closely at the so called "bushman", the so called hunter-gatherers" (terms that I hate but using it here to help jog your memory) - we call them the Khoi and the San. They havr these features. It is from them that we inherited that light dkin you observed. The vast majority of us come from them.
Strange, when I consider them pairing with g Nyash_ful females
Thank you so much for the insight, @Vaal. Now we know.
Thanks so much for this. I remember learning about the San and Khoi people in history class in Kenya and how they were indigenous to much of Southern Africa. I also remember something about the apartheid government trying to classify them as not black for revisionist purposes so as to claim there were no black people in the country when the first Dutch settlers arrived. Fascinating country.
Regarding rivers and water usage. Most large rivers are dammed and regulated. The Orange River is in full flood in late Spring and throughout the summer with good reliable rains in the highveld.
This is what Africa needs. Let’s know our own continent through tourism and all ideas will work towards developing our continent. We don’t have this culture of travelling and that’s where knowledge expansion is.
Am a Malawian by the way and I really do love your analysis of our east and Southern Africa
Thank you. It's important for us Africans to tell our own stories about our continent.
The variations is what makes Africa great and interesting. The best way of understanding Africa is by traversing it like you did. What a well articulated piece of work!❤
I agree. Thank you so much, Msaneye
Thank you for analysis of SA, I enjoy your videos. You really did well in taking us from Kenya to here in SA and back to Kenya. Cant wait for the next one.
Thank you so much, @onlyMrG. Stay tuned for more.
Very mature and sober analysis.
Thank you, @theoddball🙏🙏
The long queues at ATMs is because by the time you visited, it was time for social grants. As you know, people get child support, disability, ophan and old age social grands. With regard to climate, winter is approaching and it is my favorite season.
Interesting. Thank you for the insight, @Jabulani. Winter is your favorite? 😳. We almost died of cold in Pretoria😅. We can never get used to it.
🤣 🤣 🤣 Me too, i love snd enjoy winter.. Is already a bit cold now.. Meaning you guys won't survive in hard winter around June /July if you are complaining about that small cold you experienced while you wer here in October 😂😂😂, i foresee trouble in real winter 😂😂😂😂
What an epic journey it has been! Southern Africa and East Africa should be more open for business and leisure travels. Keep it up Liv KE and the whole crew! I am your number 1 fan! 💌🤟🏩
It was indeed epic. Thank you so much, @jwahili, for the love and support.
These ladies are very informative
great video. The tap and pay has been available in KE for a while only that many people do not trust it that is why is it not so common
My mom really misses you people 😂😂she's always asking me, wer are yiur Kenyan friends, are they nolonger traveling anymore 😅😅😅make a comeback pls my mom wants you, she said YT is now boring, she even knows ur intro.. Ari "eyyy ndi vhathu vha Lorna" meaning Lorna's people 😅😅😅, pls come back 😢😢
Thats sweet
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Awww 🤗🤗. Please pass my love to your mom, Lorna. Tell her we are back with back to back travel content. Thanks so much for your support.
That bit about Wakanda culture and the blankets is true. Even some parts of Wakanda were filmed in Lesotho!!
I thought so too. Thanks for verifying that, Mwelijah.
South Africans do travel around there country..we have a period where we travel specially during April or December or public or school holidays it be hectic traffic during those time
Great to learn. Thank you, Phillip. We travel mostly during off-peak months to avoid high costs and long queues in common attraction sites.
You two almost send me to ICU with laughter🤣😂 ...the dressing code and 1L beer part send me 😂😂 Loved the video my beautiful sisters. South Africa ✌
😅😅 We looked lost in the club. Thank you for watching, Bernard.
The 3 degrees celsius in Oct/Nov was probably due to a cold front, Pretoria is relatively warm compared to places like Joburg that is in the Highveld, but in RSA we sometimes experience cold fronts that actually affect a huge chunk of the country, even places that are known to be warm.
Thank you for the information, @Haseness.
Great job LIV Kenya will be joining you in November to SA trip keep me posted
Just envious
not mayonaise but cheese in the sossage darling.Very popular in SA.also.
Even in Ethiopia horses are everywhere in the rural areas horses are their beasts of work it was a shocking sight and thought how l would bring some back home the kikuyu in me could not hold back
It used be the same in Northern Kenya among the Borana and some Somali communities until the British came and confiscated them all. Owning horses was illegal for black people until independence in 1963.
😅😅We also dreamed of "importing" those Basotho horses, Mary.
There is also a lot of informal settlements in south africa as well as rural settlements.
Noted with thanks, @phekphel. Will look out for them next time.
Thanks guys. This was another great one. Cant wait for your next adventure. Let us know when the website is up and running please.
You are welcome, @naturalgirldiy. Thank you for watching. Will post it as soon as it is ready
Loving this. Your sharing encourages many to appreciate our continent. I have had the privilege of visiting Kenya several times. 👌👌. Asante sana for sharing your journey.
Thank you so much, ProudAfricanalways. I am glad you enjoyed Kenya.
as for tap and pay bank card, it has a limit, any amount above R200 it needs a pin code even wen you taping depending which bank
Well noted. Most times, we asked to insert card as opposed to tapping.
Good to see Adiya,n Liv too
Great to see you too, Kennedy
The cold weather always shocks us as well even though we were born here lol.
Since you will be coming back.I suggest that you have as much time as possible to see all the beauty. Suggestions of additions to the bucket list you already have.
1.Try Gold Reef in JHB ,a great theme park to ruffle your adrenaline
2.Kruger National Park(A park bigger than Israel)
3.Sun City in North West
Also google places to visit in Gauteng.
I will he more than willing to help.
The cold was extreme😅. Next time we will be prepared for the dynamic weather. Thank you so much for the suggestions, @Litshanimaanda. We will check them out.
Nice video! I enjoy your vlogs.
Thank you, @markisto
Hei young ladies, really enjoyed yr presentation.
Thank you.
Hello, @ayisasamil. Thank you for watching.
Hello Olivia and Hydia, Great content 👍👍👍
Hello, @Mariorafe. Thank you so much for tuning in
@1:17:43 Domestic tourists accounted for the largest chunk of internal tourism expenditure, contributing 73% of the R451,5 billion. Non-resident visitors exploring our shores accounted for 27%.
Oh alright. Thank you, @Ayobampilo
@@LIVKENYA yeah we travel within SA
We travel alot within our country we know it's beautiful that's why we go overseas and come back home quickly SA is the best
An approval for 2500MW nuclear power plant is here and we will have it by the end of the year, South Africa is still developing, it has alot of untapped potential
Another epic video guys. Well done. Yeah, we are blessed with goddesses . All the same, I appreciate your demeanour and and general life outlook as it's rare quality nowadays. Confirmed, Telecom companies are exploiting SA market... Keep them coming. 🖖🏾🇿🇦
Thank you for your kind words, @bmt973. I hope Internet will be cheaper in the near future. Thank you so much and stay tuned for more.
I appreciate for appreciated my country. I too appreciate Kenya. Kenya is a also beautiful country in Africa. Online bank technology is advance too including Apps that u can do online instant transactions and can manage ur own finances.
Lovely to know. Thank you. You have a very beautiful home country.
Hi guys kumnandi ukuva nithetha kakuhle ngelizwe lethu can't wait for November
Sawubona, @Bedeshani. We really had a great time in your country and we are looking forward to being back
that's true, we are waiting
You are more than welcome 😊
We have mini busses or Iveco busses for long distances and the bakkies/pick up are mostly privately owned
Noted with thanks.
Long queues in SA means there’s grant time SASSA is issuing grants to child support grants and old age pensioners
Noted with thanks, @tozamilefunani
Southern African people are mainly from the Koisan tribe, who are light skinned.
Noted with thanks, @Heather. Thank you for watching.
That was well put, I followed the whole road trip from Nairobi to CTN and back. I am glad you are doing KZN. Hopefully you might choose to come in through Groblers Bridge or Beitbridge and explore a bit of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, we you will enjoy the subtropical fruits and green veggies sold on the side of the road. Visiting the majestic Kruger National Park, maybe visit the last true monarchy (Swaziland)before going to KZN.🎉❤
Thank you so much for the pointers, @Khuthy. I have saved your comment and will use it when refining our route map. Thanks a lot for the support.
Excellent review of Southern Africa. Asante Sana
Karibu, Dan. Thanks too for watching.
Wow this so much intresting kindly next time tag me along. You guys had fun of your life time
You are welcome to join us, Andrew. Thanks for watching.
Ohw yes Switch energy drinks proudly local 🇿🇦🇿🇦 brands to soon take over the world...
I miss them already. Thanks for watching, @BolamasTheLevite
I will say that next time the places to not miss in Johannesburg are the Walter Sisulu Botanic gardens (great natural views including a majestic waterfall), Northcliff hill top (great viewpoint of the entire city especially before sunset) and the Hartbeesport Dan Kosmos Beacon (will give you a bit of Cape Town vibes). I definitely know you will love these areas since they give you exceptional views. These are not to be missed!!
Noted, @Philasande. Thank you so much for the suggestions. Will check them out
Ohhh yes and also not forgetting our very own little Paris here in haartebees 😂😂😂, we have our own eiffel tower 🗼 in satafrika 🇿🇦 😅
@@mukololo_Lorna Yah Hartees is really where it’s at👌🏾
@@LIVKENYAOh and please do not forget the camping by the beach in Scottburgh south of Durban.
In South Africa it is expensive to drive from Johannesburg to Cape town that's why we fly its cheaper you can fly to CPT at the cost of R1000 or 50usd but driving can cost you R4000 or 200usd
I understand, @Khathutshililo. However, you guys are missing out on spectacular views. Drive once in a while.
You may take a bus ride and enjoy the ride, check my most recent trip. You may need a sleepliner which has more leg room,
@Khathutsilio It is not expensive it's just a long drive and we prefer to get to our destination soonest...
Please you also need to visit Mpumalanga, 😅😅you will faint then, MP has the most beautiful landscapes😭😭😭, people even jokes uri God stays in Mpumalanga..if someone is going thru depression and stress jus visit MP and you will get healed, sometimes is not depression you suffering from, you just need to travel and do a smaller nyana roadtrip🤭🤭🤞🤞
Excited to visit it in November, Lorna. Can't wait to enjoy those wonderful landscapes I have been seeing online. You are right. Travelling heals most wounds.
@@LIVKENYA November wen😊😅😅is my birth month you know, the 16th, so i wouldn't mind to join you guys... But whu knows maybe i will be somewhere in the island 🏝 sipping cocktails 🍹 😜
@@mukololo_Lorna 😅😅 cheers to sipping cocktails in an island. We have not settled on the dates yet, but will let you know when we do.
On matter tourism, Kenyans are xenophilia in nature and I attribute this to our diverse system of education.we always have the urge to experience what we learnt in books. Thanks Liv and team for keeping us informed and entertained.
You are welcome, Joyce. I am glad that you enjoy our content. Thanks so much for the continued support, and I agree that we are curious and adventurous by nature.
You show us good and informative the way you compare countries it a can see in different view.
Glad to hear that, @Thomsoya. Thank you for watching.
I laughed at load-shedding 🇿🇦... FYI: We haven't had load-shedding for full 20 days now this year and we're shocked. 😂😂😂... Having electricity through and through is a now a shock to us... The malls close around 19h00 but fast food restaurants stay until like 22h00 and some 24hrs via drive through...
😅😅 Congratulations on the steady power supply, Leon Jay. Noted with thanks. Next time I will look out for the 24 hour drive through joints.
24 hour drive joints are KFC, McDonalds etc. Oh and petrol station shops
after elections, it can be a different ball game😂
120km per hour is maximum speed you can drive on south African freeways, anything above is illegal. Roads inside the city can have maximum speeds of 60 or 80km per hour.
Noted with thanks, @dipzy21. Most of the drivers on those roads were beyond those speeds. At 120km/hr, we were the slowest drivers😅😅
I learned my lessons, stick to your speed limit, there are cameras everywhere and you don't want to be on the wrong side of the law
@LIVKENYA You can br arrested if you drive more than 120kms on the road
Ask yourselves why the Khwe/Xam "Khoisan" are light skinned yet African unless if you dont think they are African . Im South African ,pure , not mixed, African, Zulu and light skinned.
Thanks for the clarification, @nondz
We travel a lot. Mostly on long weekends, festive season and Easter weekends. Otherwise most of the time we are at work. The calendar is blocked because we book well in advance. I'm visiting Durban from Pretoria, in September, but I have already booked in January.
Wow. Great planning there. Enjoy Durban. Can't wait to be there later in the year
Next time if you come to Namibia go to North West to the Ovahimba villages or the East for the San people
I hope we will have enough time this time around. We had really wanted to see the Ovahimba people. Thank you for the pointers.
Kenya is also doing well in livestock keeping especially in North Eastern, Upper Eastern Turkana,Pokot and Maasai land
I agree, Martha. Thanks for watching.
Braai is actually a way to prepare meat and not necessarily a type of meat, you can braai chicken, wors etc (usually grilled on an open flame) equivalent to american BBQ
Great insight. Thank you, @DzunyB. Chicken Braai are quite uncommon in the streets though, right? We couldn't find any.
@@LIVKENYA in South Africa we actually call it "chicken dust", if you say that to the same people selling the beef they usually will show u close by who sells the chicken dust. Not sure of other countries thou coz in SA we consume meat more than most.
@@LIVKENYAwhile beef is the most popular but pork and chicken are heavily braaied as well.Grilled chicken feet, gizzards, chicken intestines is among the most popular street foods
Braai is an Afrikaans word actually for barbeque.
We love our country dear🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦, hence why we never leave...
😅😅 I would never leave either
Not leaving but exploring other places outside your country
@@nyakoejob4470 exploring is not a problem, we have bikers that are in and out of the country.
Tourers and adventures.
But we hardly relocate to other countries for permanent settlements...
::::
You should check out South Africans who are abroad, they have one thing in common that they speak..
They miss and wanna come back home...
couple of years back there was a movement called hashtag wear what you want so it pushed western modern attires
Interesting. We had a similar #MyDressMyChoice here.
Taxis are used in towns and we also have 7 seaters also for long distances
That is great, @Hiroko. We will look out for them.
Southern Namibia is very hot during summer and very cold during winter
Noted, @Hiroko. We will visit in October or November.
VERY GOOD ANS INSPIRING CONTENT.....WELL DONE FROM BOTSWANA
Thank you, Phatosvevo.
Very good informations 👍
That Mall in Francistown at 6:48 is not called 'The Hub mall', it's called 'Galo' Mall. The Hub is just one of the outlets in the mall.
Well noted with thanks, Peters. Thanks too for watching.
Braai is nyama choma not a type of meat, just for info. 😊
I am from Botswana and for all I know Braai refers to grilled meat and in some cases we will include spiced sausage. This is more often is done on open coals.
Liv Kenya so nice cuntry South Africa lifestyle best regards 😊
Thank you, @Harpal
This trip is inspirational. One day. Love your insights
Thank you , @Millan.
Please don't forget Mpumalanga Province 🇿🇦🇿🇦 on your next visit...
We have included it in our route map, @BolamasTheLevite. Thank you so much.
The build is called Squaremart😊
I was KCAA at work they came for workshop ,we were doing the walkabout this one lady asked me if it is allowed to wear jeans and T shirt to work , I said yes she was surprised. And now I understand
Yes. Most organizations are very strict about official wear in Kenya. Thank you for watching, @hlamalani
Hey please try to put time stamps on your videos separating each country ….great job guys
Noted. Thanks for the feedback.
How can someone join you in your trips and do you think you will be going south anytime soon?
Large scale livestock keeping is also growing in Kenya especially in Laikipia, Uasin Gishu and Kajiado
Interesting to learn. Thank you, Daisy.
great encountering

You are welcome. Thanks too for watching.
We have public transport in Namibia please the 7 seators, mini busses and Iveco busses but those are used for long destances only and in Windhoek there are municipal busses that take people to work also especially from Katutura to the town,, hope you have seen them the blue long busses but tbey dont hoot like the matatu there are bus stops were they upload and offload
We did not see any PSVs during our trip across Namibia. But we will definitely look out for them the next time we visit, @Hiroko.
Loved the video 👍
Btw, is the steak 🥩 being sold in Botswana streets the same or better quality than the steak you’d buy from Kenya Meat Commission? You can buy great quality steak from KMC at cheaper prices than the ones in local butchers which are down right poor quality and expensive! Lol 😏
Thank you so much @our10picks18. I haven't bought meat from KMC, and so I can't adequately compare. Thank you for the pointer. I will look to buy from KMC soon.
I can, however, say that Botswana's street steak was of a higher quality than those I have eaten in most top rated restaurants here.
I'm planning to to go to Kenya with my GWM P series . will it make it to Kenya , I had that diesel is bad in some African countries
Your car is great for such a trip, @Luvuyo. I cannot speak on the quality of diesel though. Happy and safe travels.
South Africa produce our own petroleum but it's not enough we import a lot from outside
Noted with thanks, @Khathutshililo
Liv Kenya how's Lusaka compared to Nairobi in terms of business and size wise?
Hello guys watching from kilimani
Hello, Davis. Thank you for tuning in.
Welcome my sister
If you guys want to experience peer rural SA go to Limpopo and mpumalanga provinces boarding zim and Mozambique
Thank you, Praise.
I fully support that, but this is where you need to have physical money in most places.

@@LIVKENYA but home fibre is cheaper than mobile internet
Personally I enjoy m country..everything we have is documented, I wouldnt wana drive just to use a good road..I fly n go straight to where i want to go , i go somewhere at...we have a saying here..TAKE A SHORT LEFT..meaning before you go outside the country visit everywhere first..SA is huge , u cant finish travelling in this country
Online banking is huge in SA, but mobile money is not that popular in SA
That explains a lot. Thank you, @afrikawewant5390
Hi Beautiful ladies, good analysis from experience. I suggest if u come back to SA to come via Zimbabwe beitbridge border gate so u can experience my limpopo province, u won't regret it. It's rural province with beautiful land scape. If u want to see traditional huts. Baobab trees. Wildlife in kruger national park,of course we do have cities and towns like polokwane, Tzaneen, Louis trichardt etc, high ways and casinos.
Hello, @ngmn5402. Thanks so much for the pointers. We will consider it. I have heard nice praises about your home and will purpose to visit it. Thanks again🙏🙏
hakakakakaka the Lesotho part is killing me eyyy, but i think you wer gona make a good lesotho makoti, busy saying "eya ntate, ho joalo"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😅😅 I would be terrible at it.
The funny thing about LoadShedding is that we have not LoadShed for 3months now that we’re going for elections… SA has no shortage of electricity; government wants those who can afford to get into alternative energy..
True yazi, that's my view. Politicians are so used to filling their pockets they are always looking for areas where they can put their hands. I noticed now they are starting to groom us with water, saying there is a shortage. It was funny when they said that in GP after consistent rainfalls. In Limpopo they taps are literally dry, politicians are cashing in thru installation of water tanks.
How did you guys handle things that are illegal in Kenya like weed and different types of dating styles
We avoid weed. Kenya is a bit relaxed on matters "different types of dating"
Concerning long ATM queues in SA, we don't have mobile money and a good number of us use public transport which does not accept card payments. That forces us to carry cash. The middle class and the rich generally do not need cash
Even in Eswatini and Zimbabwe, you can use SA Rand .
Even Mozambique, Namibia and Lesotho
Interesting. We need one currency across Africa.
Love the video. South Africa doe's have nuclear power station
South Africa does have a nuclear power plant[Koeberg] in the Cape
Thank you, @Malebye
Swaziland, Lesotho Namibia use South African Rand, what you termed fluidity.
Noted with thanks, @thetad1242
Braai is Afrikaans word for barbeque and therefore used in Namibia and SA though
