Made on request! Some generalized discussion on the team format in DBFZ and what decisions you should be looking at in choosing the last character in your team, aka the anchor!
rooflemonger can’t believe you didn’t mention your boy broly as a bad anchor since he needs those assists to do his stuff and you made your whole team to make him do well, your probably the best broly player to, at least that’s known
Fifou Lahmar moves that have high hitstun or multi hit are good because there forced to block it until there back to the ground if you use the “meety”, which mean they recover into the hit frames, krillin solar flare is a good example because it has high hit stun and hits far off the ground
I've had Tien as my anchor since Day 1. Certainly not the best character by any means but he laughs at you with 7 bars. He laughs all the way to Chiaotzu's funeral.
I am now heading out to visit family out of province so videos might be a little bit intermittent for a bit! I will return Thursday night but I will find a way to sneak out of a video or two between now and then!
Since getting into this game I really love Lord Frieza as my anchor. Assist is meh if your spacing isn’t tight, but I love his 1v1 options and meter burn through Golden Frieza. Current team is A21, Black and Frieza. Nothing fills me with joy like pulling off crazy full-team-sweep comebacks with the stacking damage amps of Sparking/Golden.
Frieza anchor here as well, the Lord of the Universe is one of the best for meter burn. A lvl 3 "SHUT YOU UP FOR GOOD" is how I murder a lot of my opponents. If not that then well, going Gold stacked with sparking is always an option. All of these options make my Majin Buu middle jealous
Fred Donaldson 100% My new team is still using Frieza Anchor, but after experimenting I found a team that is both fun to play and super flavourful! Broly/Android 16/Frieza I call it “Team Kill Goku”
I've finally settled on Yamcha for character #3. He acts as anchor now, as well. Beerus and 21 like having Wolf Fang Fist to help, and Yamcha is just flat the character that gels with me most, aside from the other two. If he's up last, and has both bar and sparking to spend, making his low-ish damage a moot point, and the WFF blender is a one-man mixup.
THANKS my CELL just got alot STRONGER :D the last two minutes worth for every CELL PLAYER ! having gotenks now in my team but never could make use of his assist xD ROOFLEMONGER thank you !
DeadEye FGC I got my ass handed to me by a beerus anchor just the other day funny enough. I'll never forget it because he ended up doing the dramatic finish against my goku black lol
I guess he likes living with big stakes. Beerus pretty much works as point since as Mid gives an eh...regular assist. And it´s pretty much at point, since he needs all the help necessary for his gameplan.
Many may notice that the majority of this list are top/high tier characters. It is such an important role for the team. If they can make a few more characters at least viable to be an anchor I think this would greatly improve the game in competitieve play.
If Frieza´s assist would actually track your opponent, i´m sure of 2 things: 1) in the tier list of assist, he would raise a lot, since that move it´s really fast. As of right now, it only has one purpose, and it´s far away. 2) He would become one of the other best anchors in the game, since he can work solo in combos (although he benefits far more from assists too), and also has access to Golden Frieza, and with sparking...oh man.
Sparking Golden Frieza is terrifying. Honestly, I just kinda wish Frieza's assist tracked, imagine how good it'd be. Recombo, blockstun pressure into some mixup gimmicks (since it creates some visual chaos), even in neutral it'd be a good "How do you do" move.
Well I think that may have to do with an anchor needing to be able to mix up and out neutral the opponent without the need of assists, so if a character is strong enough to be able to do that, that generally means that they are a high/top tier character.
Frieza is kind of mid tier. It has plenty of tools to work alone with, but definetly he does better with assists. It´s not like it´s crucial for it´s playstyle, but he can work pretty well alone even. But of being a good character in neutral doesn´t mean its high/top all the time. Remember Yamcha is a thing now, and he doesn´t excel in some apartments tbh. He has a good assist, and that´s the reason he´s a viable anchor option as discovered recently. If only Frieza´s assist could get buffed, it would mean that a lot of characters would benefit from mixup situations, and even taking care of SD, jumpers, and for some characters, extend their combos (like 21 or Beerus that Frieza's assist allows them to do interesting setups.
We just need to wait til Dragonball FighterZ 2/ Super Dragonball FighterZ, theyll have multiple assists to choose from per character. Krillin with a kamehameha beam assist would make him more useful. Gotenks with die die missle barrage would be vegeta 2.0. It would be awesome/fix so much with the balancing/team variety issue. We need MORE ASSISTS
I anchor Broly. The delay on his Erasee Cannon is good for oki (especially since it drags), the hitbox is big, and he’s a big body of you want to sacrifice HP from him to cover your point’s HP, which doesn’t always show itself as a situation but sometimes it does and can be useful.
i've ran Hit as my anchor from the start of the game. you can try and be technical with it, but as long as you as a player can make a character work without the need for assists, you can have an anchor.
Honestly when I’m trying to figure out a characters weakness I always think about their weakness in the show & apply it here. Kid Buu is a weird, crazy, irrational, & chaotic blob, but his problem is just that, he’s so irrational he’s not calculating anything through & he’s just doing things, so all you have to do is just stay calm, & don’t lose your patience. That’s what he wants you to do. He wants to piss you off & annoy you so bad that you start to make irrational decisions yourself & when you do Kid Buu will hit you with a 70% Combo. So tldr, just stay cool calm & collected & you’ll be just fine.
I used to use T. Gohan as an anchor (before I started using him as my meter boy), and I love the invincibility! Sure it's not right away, but it was really good when I was getting pressured.
Day 1 with Nappa since the beta. Goku Blue (Lead) SSJ Goku (Mid) Nappa (Anchor) Both SSJ goku and nappa assist helps a ton with blue with major dmg combos that's only require 2 bars but I can't solo with him. That's when nappa or ssgoku comes in. I'm very comfortable solo 1vs3 with these 2 easily, not all the time but they can get it done.
One nice thing about Yamcha fighting as the anchor is that, despite having poor damage overall, he can end pretty much any combo into a sliding knockdown like SsjGoku can.
I essentially have two anchors with my team, Vegeta and Black, but Black fills the role a bit more because I'm slightly better as Black than Vegeta. To clarify my team is Vegito, Vegeta, and Black. Vegeta and Black are great for recombo/okizeme after Vegito's throw. I'm lucky that the characters that I like happen to be solid characters (although they're not top tier, but I'm too dumb to learn the tech that makes Cell and co. as broken as they are)
I'mma try a new team!! Point: Android 21 (I know she might not be the best but she is fun for me to play lol) General: trunks?? Idk I might switch it to Gotenks or kid buu Support: ss Goku ( I like his assist)
“In block sun technology” 😂😂 stfu 😂😂😂 Another great video, Roof, keep ‘em coming! That block stun technology line when you were talking about Kid Buu cracked me up haha you right tho, but it’s still funny to me haha Keep up the good work!
Also have to take your skill level in account cause for him gohan might not be good by himself but for somebody who’s great with him or any other character should think of that as well
I really hope that a future update focuses on improving the anchor viability of some of the characters that still don't seem to have a place in the game, with the right couple of changes anchor beerus could be really fun imo, and the whole role feels so much more restricted than your other 2 members
I would pretty much prefer assist wise, since most of the anchor focus is seen by his assist viability. Reason why the Goku´s (but Blue), Vegeta SSJ and Yamcha are considered good assists, since their assist are SO good, eventhough there are way more better characters on paper than those. If Frieza´s assist gets buffed, and it has tracking, it would become a REALLY insanely good assist to work with, and also his Anchor viability would become enormous.
The assist of Frieza as it is rn, is kinda ok, but if it were to be updated, and actually track the opponent, there are so much stuff you could do. Even roof in the first tier list of assist mentioned that if it actually tracked, it could actually get stuff done and be a better assist. Since as of rn, it only does the pillar at a distance that most characters can´t push back easily. And the character itself isn´t bad either. It has good tools, but as they were meant to be, do not work in DBFZ (since zoning can be broken pretty easy by just SD). And I see him as something as Zamasu; can do really good stuff, but he needs assists to cover him up most of the time. As an anchor I know he gets outclassed, but, that pillar could potentially raise him more in usage, like Yamcha got with his assist. It isn´t as Yamcha´s assist, but if it actually got updated, it could do WAY better than just being an ok assist.
my ''anchor'' is yamcha. but it can also be krillin. my main dude is teen gohan. basicly i run gohan krillin yamcha in that order. but can mix up with replacing krillin with frieza/vegeta depending on the mood im in. if i play it carefully its krillin when i play agressive its vegeta. when i play defense i pick frieza.
I came to this video because right now I'm experimenting with 16/18/Yamcha, and I felt like Yamcha was a bit of a weak link and was trying to see if I could find a better anchor because I assumed I was off base. This video encouraged me that I might have a better idea than I thought I did and just need to be a little more clever in how I play, but if need be also gave me a couple of different options if I ever wanted to swap him out for someone a little different. I notice you didn't mention Frieza in this video, i was under the impression he was a pretty good anchor too? Mostly I'm thinking about him burning meter on a Golden Frieza with full sparking potential.
Yamcha is a god last man sparking. Safe jump, l,l iad j.m (works in corner), lvl1 does sdk, can lvl1 to lvl 3. 7.6k dmg easy w/o sparking on 4 bars. Can use h, wff tail to continue pressure in high pressure situations, fast character, kamehameha (though slowest start up, has fastest recovery), has solid corner carry with 2h route and 1 bar, great damage on side switch combos and can keep enemies by corner, can make anything safe (except 2h w/o sparking or bar) doesn't have to commit to anything. He is pretty under whelming without sparking/beam assist, but is still fast as hell. He can anchor and does okay at point, imo he is scariest starting as mid with a char that can generate bar like crazy on point, then switch to fight a bit then switch to anchor and last man sparking after but have a back up anchor just in case you mess up. IE a.Gohan, yamcha, majin buu/vegito, yamcha, goku etc.
In my opinion...giving characters terms like anchor etc limit players and you would see the same teams...any character can beat ass depending on the person. Like psylock and cap commando...I played with those characters on mvc2 and psylock is a very versatile character on that game. I would have people at the top of the screen still in a combo where u can't see them...well i guess this gives me an edge because i wanna go through life without limit....i cant use this character cuz he's a bad anchor....shiddd its either get rich or die tryin cuz imma snap off wit who ever i want to beat ass.
I actually get a lot of use out of Krillin as an anchor. Dude is independent as hell, loves pouring meter onto the enemy, and every character benefits from the rock/senzu assist.
My anchor is Broly I pick him first because I like his intro But I always switch him out before he gets too damaged His armor with sparking makes him the ultimate tank
RisingJericho Cell on anchor? He's good enough to be a good anchor obviously but because of how ridiculously he benefits from assists as a point I don't see any reason not to put him there.
Reminds me that my sister "refuses" to have a proper anchor, having her team be made of Beerus, A.18 and Krillin/21. I always need a good anchor because i tend to get reckless and just have one character left, so much that my A-Team is Ginyu, Yamcha, Gotenks, and my B-Team is Frieza, T. Gohan(yes i'll argue he's a decent anchor), Tenshinhan.
Interesting. I just started playing a week ago and have been using this team (in order) : A18, Trunks, M.Buu. Prima guides recommended fat buu as an anchor and you think otherwise. Granted I’ve had some success but I’m barely an Earthling. Maybe the guide reflected character strengths at launch.
I have the weird problem of running 2 anchors characters on my team lol (Black and SSJ Vegeta). I run Vegeta in the anchor position, Black as my 2nd slot. (Bardock/Black/SSJ Vegeta is the team). Ive tried blue vegeta on point and black on anchor, but he doesn't feel that much better than SSJ Vegeta. Yeah he's better on point than him....but the assist >_>'. My only fear is if Bardock dies early I have Black/Vegeta to fight the rest of the match. Its not awful but Black is better suited to be an anchor imo. He can do corner super loops with Vegeta though ;O
Although I do like I play him point, You play him anchor, and Rico suave plays him mid. Goes to show that even if he isn't the best Broly got some depth to him.
I STRICTLY play Broly at either point or mid. never anchor. I needa get damage/pressure in with him since hes my best character/favorite. I can steamroll thru teams with him more than others
17 overall would be tied with Jeice & Burter as the best ones of the game. 17 offers various mixups opportunities, while Jeice & Burter offer one of the most catastrophic situations you have to deal with. Is like Vegeta´s assist, but moving faster across the screen, which means that you either wait for your opponent to mess up his opportunity to attack, you start doing mixups with Ginyu, or you get up close and do the Dragon Rush. 17 also offers a lot of moves to keep your opponent at bay. Even burning bar for his EX assist does considerable damage to your opponent. Guldo has an ok tracking projectile. Nothing out of the world. And his telekinesis serves as a good recombo/corner pressure tool. Recoome´s knees is like eh ok, but why would you use it when you have the Eraser Gun, which is really good on neutral, and oh man, the Miracle Bomber on the corner it´s just too good as a mixup game and that move scares anyone, and more if combined for the mixup game with the next member, which is Burter. The kicks are decent and help Ginyu in his blockstring extensions, and combined with the Miracle Bomber, it keeps the opponent locked, so they can´t vanish or whatsoever. Burter's air attack it´s good too, since that means your opponent can´t pretty much be in the air for the 3 times he goes across the screen, since it will hit you and cancel his combo. Jeice has like eh, an ok projectile, but why would you use Jeice projectile, when you can do the Jeice & Burter one, which has more utility above anything else. Chiaotzu has good oki pressure, and in certain situations, it helps as a recombo option. Only flaw of it, is that you only have 2 times for it to work, then it fails once, and resets. But failing once means you are open, so it would be the best if you cover yourself up in this time, so it resets. It also needs to be added, that once you use Tien´s 2nd lvl 3, you lose his utility, so in some situations, is good when you are in the 3rd time to use that lvl 3, or you just want to kill your opponent off (if Tien is the last one standing)
not really there's also Zamasu,Sorbet, the Saibaman,Goten(in gohan's level 3) and probably someone else i'm forgetting that would be more than enough for a list
I'd say that Tien's level 3 should actually boost Chiaotzu up since his self destruct is one of the best level threes in the game I'd put him as third below 17 and Jeice
Great video as always man. I was wondering if you could make a video on how the game works when you're attacking multiple opponents at the same time (due to them being attacked when someone calls out an assist at a wrong time)?
Learning defense for dummies Roof. I feel like I can combo but my defensive game needs help. I'm getting spanked by the cheese so much. Or would you mind making a defensive guide playlist?
T.Gohan is a terrible anchor indeed, but his insane amount of damage when under spark 3 allows him some crazy come back sometimes when he happens to be the last guy standing. And his ability to burn 5 bars with his super can help too when he's on his own. But 99% of the time, you really want him rather on point.
Gotenks is definitely best as an anchor but he's a good team player. He's got a great assist, toolset, mix-ups, pressure that only gets better with assists, can combo his level 1 into his level 3 with the right assist from anywhere on screen and can set up double supers with his assist and own super. You can have him in any position and he'll make your team better for it.
Black is a good anchor by himself, but if your team has Broly on it, SSJ goku >>>>>> Goku black due to the overwhelming synergy goku has with Broly. It's a lot more than just the beam assist there.
Does your personal play style matter when choosing characters and where in the team you put them and what assist you use (I normally put my best character in the final slot)
Your playstyle is king overall. If you wanna take it slow, then maybe a Broly will help you out better than an android 18 would. If you wanna mix people up, maybe cooler isnt the character for you for example. Some characters are more suited than others in the last spot, but thats more recommendation. Even if it doesn't fit a traditional mold, then don't let anyone stop you from rocking it
Kinda sad you didn't talk about the character's level 1s, especially the DHC ones. I feel that most of Tien's usefulness comes from having both the highest damage of any level 1 and I believe the fastest level 1, giving many teams double supers and helping low damage characters shine a bit brighter. On the other hand, Goku Black's weird purple spikes level 1 is one of the worst in the game and is difficult to work with for certain teams, and although he has the beam assist, his bad DHC potential hurts his potential as an anchor, at least in my opinion. Just a couple examples, but relevant when constructing a cohesive team
While that is an interesting choice that's usually not the reason you would pick an anchor. Most of the time if you want the guy with the double super he should be the mid anyways.
Well no it's not the most important thing for sure, and while Tien is my anchor on many teams, he's my secondary on teams when I'm going all in on making my point character as strong as possible, such as Piccolo or Majin Buu, so I do see what you mean. For me if it's a workable super the I'm good, but again with cases such as Goku Black, I feel like his super actively detriments many teams, SSJ Goku is just much better at supporting a team
Hey Rooflemonger, I’ve been seeing people do an air 2H, then somehow crossing to the other side when they superdash. Could you make a video on how to do that?
I use Black as anchor in most of my teams, and recently Tien and Goku. Black was my first and the anchor i have used the most, since he´s able to defend himself even alone. Goku has good damage and also has the bukkake kamehameha/double kamehameha combo viability, and has excellent tools. And as for Tien, he has the raw damage to work with eventhough he has average tools (Dodon Ray should be able to beat Kamehameha lorewise lol). One thing I must ask, is that wasn´t Frieza considered good anchor too? It´s a mix of the case of Yamcha and Tien. It has an ok assist; has ok tools, but don´t work pretty much well for DBFZ, but he has the damage as the anchor (Golden + Sparking). Don´t get me wrong, i already have my anchors, that i already mentioned. Just I want to know what happened to that theory or statement done months ago.
Made on request! Some generalized discussion on the team format in DBFZ and what decisions you should be looking at in choosing the last character in your team, aka the anchor!
rooflemonger what you think about my main team? broly, vegito, buu
rooflemonger can’t believe you didn’t mention your boy broly as a bad anchor since he needs those assists to do his stuff and you made your whole team to make him do well, your probably the best broly player to, at least that’s known
Hey roof please how to deal with peopel who not recover in the ground sorry for my bad english and thank you 😊
Fifou Lahmar so how to deal with up tech?
Fifou Lahmar moves that have high hitstun or multi hit are good because there forced to block it until there back to the ground if you use the “meety”, which mean they recover into the hit frames, krillin solar flare is a good example because it has high hit stun and hits far off the ground
Remember, Clappa killed Tien, piccolo and Yamaha without using vegeta assist once, so lorewise clappa is a perfectly valid anchor.
KozaakZA 😑😑😑
KozaakZA lmao damn 2 bad he doesn't have bomber DX
Vegeta was sitting in the back the whole time, doing nothing! Jesus Nappa, press L1 or something!
Dxsmp yeah wtf he should have a punch with bomber DX or something like Bardok's lvl 1👊 to another lvl 1💣💥
Nappa's assist should be an invincible, unblockable level 3 that tracks even in the air and is active since frame 1
Martin M zero recharge rate. And otk happy birthdays.
I've had Tien as my anchor since Day 1. Certainly not the best character by any means but he laughs at you with 7 bars. He laughs all the way to Chiaotzu's funeral.
N00BSYBORG Hahahahahah
Facing off against a 7 bar Tien on your last character is intimidating as hell.
Kikou how ya doin'?
Why you!
Tbh this comment has only become more true with time
'Goku Black is the Wesker of this game' NO TRUER WORDS WERE EVER SPOKEN
I am now heading out to visit family out of province so videos might be a little bit intermittent for a bit! I will return Thursday night but I will find a way to sneak out of a video or two between now and then!
Enjoy yourself!
Have fun bud
Nappa will always be an anchor in my heart
Dude it feels like you've been waiting for this game to come out your life with how you keep bringing the heat with these videos. Keep it up mate.
Your videos are very informative and help us a lot! Thank you so much for your effort, have a great weekend, man.

I like Black as my anchor because I’ve made a lot of comebacks with him
I dont start playing till he is the last player on my team.
You mean there’s more to it than just picking Black and being done with it?
My current anchor is Beerus lol
DeadEye FGC Respect.
DeadEye FGC I got my ass handed to me by a beerus anchor just the other day funny enough. I'll never forget it because he ended up doing the dramatic finish against my goku black lol
That is the same level of respect as anchor Nappa.
Why? Do you not enjoy winning?

This video is eminently useful, pound for pound, here, there and at all points in between.
My normal team is Black, Super Saiyan Goku and Vegito. Hopefully this vid helps me pick which of them will be my anchor.
I anchor Broly. The delay on his Erasee Cannon is good for oki (especially since it drags), the hitbox is big, and he’s a big body of you want to sacrifice HP from him to cover your point’s HP, which doesn’t always show itself as a situation but sometimes it does and can be useful.

Full anchor team. Gotenks, Kid Buu ,and Vegeta.
That sounds pretty sick
Bardock,vegito,ssj goku
We need a "surviving kid buu" video 😂
So far my only strategy against Kid Buu is block until i see him leave the ground then I down heavy and hope for the best.
Honestly when I’m trying to figure out a characters weakness I always think about their weakness in the show & apply it here. I just level 3 through blockstrings
MikuCobraCole As a kid buu player whenever they use their mystic ball attack either reflect or down heavy
Miguel Rivera it’s so fast though, and it hits crossup if they wish, your right, but a good kid buu won’t just throw that out willy nilly
I used to use T. Gohan as an anchor (before I started using him as my meter boy), and I love the invincibility! Sure it's not right away, but it was really good when I was getting pressured.
Maybe one day we'll get to choose our character's assists. Then everyone's an anchor!

My Team:
Point: 21 - 18 - Trunks
Mid: 16
Anchor: SSJ Goku
I'mma try a new team!!
Point: Android 21 (I know she might not be the best but she is fun for me to play lol)
General: trunks?? Idk I might switch it to Gotenks or kid buu
Support: ss Goku ( I like his assist)
Vegeta Blue is my anchor idk why but he does great when the odds are stacked against him. And that assist he has is actually pretty good.
“In block sun technology” 😂😂 stfu 😂😂😂
Another great video, Roof, keep ‘em coming! That block stun technology line when you were talking about Kid Buu cracked me up haha you right tho, but it’s still funny to me haha
Keep up the good work!
that's a really helpful Video. thanks, Rooflemonger.
I use kid buu as anchor, great video
Also have to take your skill level in account cause for him gohan might not be good by himself but for somebody who’s great with him or any other character should think of that as well
I once used ssj goku on point with fat buu and adult gohan as anchors
It turned out surprisingly well i went on a 6 game win streak
Once again, Cell proves he's perfect at everything...including being an anchor. 😎
Yet another vid i needed thx
IE a.Gohan,yamcha, majin buu/vegito, yamcha,goku etc.
I know Krillin needs assists, but I do love him as an anchor, HIT ME BEAN DADDY!
My anchor is Broly
I pick him first because I like his intro
But I always switch him out before he gets too damaged
His armor with sparking makes him the ultimate tank
I recently switched my anchor from Goku Blue to Cell for dat beam assist and, according to a Discord server I'm in, DAT DAMAGE.
RisingJericho Cell on anchor? He's good enough to be a good anchor obviously but because of how ridiculously he benefits from assists as a point I don't see any reason not to put him there.
I use frieza as anchor! Golden frieza plus lvl3 sparking is a tide turner
Cell, Gohan...Cell...
Frieza with meter is a pretty good anchor. I've made several comebacks with the Emperor of the Universe.
SSGSS Goku will always be my true anchor.
*Flashbacks to Shoulder Loop*
shout outs to mtg
Thanks Rooflemonger Senpai! 😀
The prima guides are always just written by some random guide sadly I wouldn't put too much stock into it.
Great vid Roof.I think Tien is such an underrated character
Yamcha's my anchor... in life...
I use to have Kid Buu as my anchor and Yamcha as my lead, but I think Yamchas assist was a bit better so I switched them.
I usually have goku black as a anchor cause o can 1v3 teams with him
Yea! I requested this!
Frieza is my anchor and there is nothing you can do about it!
And you gained more sympathy-points. Playing magic as well is just so cool. Are you playing EDH or which format do you play?
I only play EDH now, and its only every now and then. I have Radha, Zurgo, Lady Zhurong and Yasova Dragonclaw as generals.
rooflemonger cool! I am playing only EDH as well. Kaalia of the Vast, The Ur-Dragon and Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh are mine
The only thing that sucks about super saiyan goku is the fact that you lose the corner if you use your level 3.
That and his lack of a 2l. However his level 3 is great otherwise, he gets a safe jump from it and he can easily crossup and get out the corner again
That's true, but it means you always have all the options available for his post lvl 3 mixup which isn't too bad.
Roofle you used to play magic? Did you ever play commander? If so who did you use? What was your favorite deck?
edh is the only thing left I played. I have radha, zurgo, lady zhurong, and yasova dragonclaw edh decks.
rooflemonger I too have a yasova deck. You have a deck list made online?
Broly as anchor!!!
I know you believe in it friend, but I just can't buy into it :(
For me Broly gonna remain point or bust until whenever there is a balance patch.
I can steamroll thru teams with him more than others
i respect ur savagery
Make a tier list on who is the best character specific assist in the game (like Chiaotzu,17,Guldo etc.)
Ginyu is totally slept on man some of the best neutral in the game by far
That would be a short list I guess!
not really there's also Zamasu,Sorbet, the Saibaman,Goten(in gohan's level 3) and probably someone else i'm forgetting
that would be more than enough for a list
I'd say that Tien's level 3 should actually boost Chiaotzu up since his self destruct is one of the best level threes in the game
I'd put him as third below 17 and Jeice
Great video as always man. I was wondering if you could make a video on how the game works when you're attacking multiple opponents at the same time (due to them being attacked when someone calls out an assist at a wrong time)?
That is a thing I have always wanted to cover but honestly sometimes they seemingly randomly drop and it can make things difficult.
Will you play jmcrofts when you come back?
Oh lord no
Yeah, we need to see this match!
Jakob Mann that's what I'm saying
I've been on record multiple times I am ok with playing him or Dotodoya or whoever. Nobody gets at me so I just gotta assume they are not interested.
Safe travels friend.
How's this team? (In order) Ssb Goku, Android 21, Ssj Vegeta
Android 16 can't do an extended combo but he's certainly a nice anchor
My anchor is Goku Black, my middle is Bardok and my front guy Vegito lol.
How do you find combos for your specific team? My team has Gotenks, Yamcha and Goku.
Lotta trial and effort honestly! Don't be afraid to do research and see who else has played a team you are going for to get ideas.
Alright thanks
Lots of good stuff on the discord
Despite his low damage output Gotenks from what I’ve seen in a pretty good Anchor. I’ve gotten some pretty close comebacks with him.
NixUniverse he has good neutral in my opinion and a good assist, so he’s definitely good, he might be better as your middle character though
Easily my favourite anchor, he has sooo many options, especially when he has bar to burn
Benjamin Anderson depends on the team
Gotenks is definitely best as an anchor but he's a good team player. He's got a great assist, toolset, mix-ups, pressure that only gets better with assists, can combo his level 1 into his level 3 with the right assist from anywhere on screen and can set up double supers with his assist and own super. You can have him in any position and he'll make your team better for it.
N00BSYBORG Very true
Rooflemonger, you mentioned before Frieza was a good anchor character with his Golden form, is that still viable today or did that change?
Goku Black or Goku Blue are also great Anchors.
Black sure, can't agree with blue though.
Rate my team:
Goku(SSJ),Vegeta(SSJ), Trunks(SSJ)
BigBossMan88 6/10
@@MMMevents I can deal with that
Mine is Gotenks, Tien and Bardock. I really like Bardock last
Point: Super Saiyan Vegeta
Mid: Nappa
Anchor: Beerus
Your welcome
My team so far cobsists of Broly and Black. Any reccomended anchors for this composition? Or should I switch the order in general?
Black is a good anchor by himself, but if your team has Broly on it, SSJ goku >>>>>> Goku black due to the overwhelming synergy goku has with Broly. It's a lot more than just the beam assist there.
Super Saiyan Goku is anchor since day one.
Does your personal play style matter when choosing characters and where in the team you put them and what assist you use
(I normally put my best character in the final slot)
Your playstyle is king overall. If you wanna take it slow, then maybe a Broly will help you out better than an android 18 would. If you wanna mix people up, maybe cooler isnt the character for you for example. Some characters are more suited than others in the last spot, but thats more recommendation. Even if it doesn't fit a traditional mold, then don't let anyone stop you from rocking it
I'm thinking about doing base veggie, vegito, and super veggie. Thoughts?
Can you do a video on how to know if the characters have above/below average damage in DBFZ
Just do a character's bnb and compare it's damage to others. Most characters can get about 4000 dmg for no bar
WhoSaysWhat Do I start with “L” or “M”
Legendary SSJ down m is best, it scales better
You should do an update video for this
Nice Magic plug XD
Mr. SolvesAllYourProblems
Aka Cell
Nemesis *YOU THINK YOUR BARRIER WILL WORK, FUCK YOUR BARRIER*
Whoo, Magic!
Tien is the anchor and you can kikohou yourself if you disagree 😂
Hey Rooflemonger, I’ve been seeing people do an air 2H, then somehow crossing to the other side when they superdash. Could you make a video on how to do that?
That's news to me, unfortunately do not have much of an idea on that one currently.
rooflemonger watch the DBFZ CEO matches. It happens a few times.
Beast King well I dunno but frieza is my anchor
