I have a 2017 bmw 740i and when I drive it be good but since yesterday it will randomly say chassis function restriction if I pull over and look at the car the back suspension sags but once I turn off the car it fill up with air right away and goes to normal. Do you think can be control module because compresor is working fine

I have an 03 x5 with air suspension rear & front. Took my car to a shop for something unrelated. When I went to pick the vehicle’s suspension was down, both sides. Air bags have been replaced, compressor replaced all within the last couple of yrs! Will this relay control front & rear? Thank you

When the car is powered by opening the door or starting the car I hear clicking form the compressor. 3 months ago had both front air struts changed at a independent shop. Can you give me some advice as of now car is almost sitting on the garage floor. Any advice I appreciate in advance thanks.
If you have replaced the air compressor as well as the air springs. Then there is nothing that you can replace anymore. You can go back to the shop, see if they have some kind of warranty.

I have a 2014 750i I heard a vibrating sound coming from the rear when the car was off. Drove it parked it, everything normal. Came outside later that night now it’s sagging really low in the back. I’m panicking!!!
Firstly, use soapy water to test the air springs’ leakage. If not leaking, then it could be the air plump valve was stuck, so it’s always releasing air, no matter how hard the pump is pumping air into the system.
Check if there are leaks in the air suspension first. If yes, replace them. If after replacement still shows error code, then it could be the electronics.
Check the fuse first. If it's ok, then very likely it's the pump, if not then the height sensers on each side. Get a local machanic to check, it might be cheaper than the dealer.
@No Name I've changed the sensors on both sides, and it stays up, but for some reason, when on a slop or hill, it will drop both sides and will rise then fall. if I'm on a flat surface, it will rise and stay up. I calibrate the sensors with a successful program all the time. I'm not sure if it's the ICM Mo- that is not holding up

I have just had this issue… Im plantning to buy a new one but The problem was their was water in my trunk where The batteri and The relay was… is there anyone who know how to stop The water coming in to The battery and under The fuses on The right side!!!! What Can i do about it anyone????

I have 2018 f16 bmw x6 and ive checked the boot and the relay is not there are they located in a different place

it won’t work, as the relay connects the power to run the motor.

The relay is controlling the air pump. Mine f15 only have the rear air suspension, but you will only have one air pump regardless.

The air pump module is out of order, there is a vale for releasing extra air in the system.

It could be the relay is burned. So using my method will work. But it could caused by other factors to burn the relay and fuse in the first place.

That could be the problem. Ask your dealer see if the relay has been replaced.
This is just happened on my BMW X5 with the rear suspension dropping. Can I just buy and replace the relay instead?
It can be the air bags are leaking. If the airbags are fine then it could be the relay is burned, or the air pump is malfunctioning.

I have a same same chasis warning if I drive more than 80 or 90 kms speed.. If speed is less, no issues. Will that be similar issue as this
Your one must be a different issue. As the speed wouldn’t affect the ride height.

Changed my relay and kept having the same issue even after resetting my air height adjustments on the rear tires could it be the ICM Mod-

Your issue is beyond the relay problem. Stopping the water leak is the priority.

The relay should be the same. However, the problem can be various. 7 series got 4 air springs, x5 only 2 at the rear.
