To be fair… I ordered the Pyrite-alt long before I knew your true feelings on finger choils :/ Glad you’re able to modify it to your liking, hope it keeps its edge!
CV stands for Chrome Vanadium. Today's armchair steel experts can say what they want about Traditionals, and other non-super steels. But Case was adding those elements to their steel longer than I've been alive. I completely missed this knife. I love the Medium Serpentine Stockman. Black Synthetic would be my choice for a work knife. And that awl seals the deal. I like the awl inline like on the Alox SAKs, not on the back. I never had much use for the Spey blade. Working in a factory, I used the awl more than any other tool to pry and drill holes in plastics. I got back into slipjoints last year. I've been carrying an old Kutmaster TL-29 Electrician's knife from the 60s or an all stainless US issue Utility knife made by Camillus dated 1996. The awl on that tank is long, sharp, with stiff backsprings. Now I've gotta have one!
Really liking the CJRB Pyrite
It's really great for the price
Nice! I just got myself a pyrite alt n a mini pyrite for my wife.
Very nice! I definitely want to check out the Mini Pyrite now. CJRB also has the Micra model which seems like basically a mini Pyrite with thumb studs
@@justified_edc it is nice but I didn't think it was so small lol. Yeah idk why they named it the micra it seems like just a pyrite.
