Thanks for the new staff drills. I've done afew drills from arnis for years, now I'm adding several of your kali drills. At 71yo the stick I havewith me most is my cane.

Beautiful movement, lines, footwork as usual. The staff is as basic as it gets; with modern weapons technology people forget the power of the simple stick.

+Michael C. I totally agree. It's amazing how many weapon interventions came from the simple staff.

+Kali Center I'm a bartender. I train Kali, JKD, and was training BJJ also for the last year and a half. Most bars have staffs. AKA pool cues :)

There are no wasted motions with Kali. Every thing has a purpose. Why did I not find Kali wen I was young-such a shame.

Those are some pretty awesome drills. Gonna get myself a staff asap😃. Would it actually be possible to translate some of the staff drills into drills for two-handed blades like claymores or bastard-swords? Drill no. 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9 look like they might work...

Thank you for making these because the only weapons that some focus on are the short sticks, swords and machetes.

I live in the Philippines most likely in Muslim region in Mindanao we rather use a short stick rather this long staff or stick our technique is kinda different we only hit the Joints before we hit in the Head if that's not enough we can use bolo or a Knife to do it or maybe a sword.

Bro looks like he was swinging a baseball bat, plus his stance was so bad it looked like he was playing hopscotch.
    Don't learn from this guy
