    que cara legal. what a great teacher. those ears are his resume. you can do jiu-jitsu forever. I'm 45 and still competing as well as training 10 hours a week ,not at Formiga's level of course but still rolling hard. The key is to train smart. Listen to your body,tap often,train another day. If you try a flying triangle and miss be ready to pay the piper lol. like he said LOSE THE EGO. Ossssss!

    Why do people act like if you're over 25 you're too old for Jiu-Jitsu? Is this not a martial art focused on technique over strength and power?
    If you're getting hurt, the problem may be with your training method.

      Hangster Gaming none of his guys compete at a very high level in grappling. His whimsical moves are no more effective than anything else in no gi or mma. When his guys do win a vast majority of the time they win using non 10p moves. The twister is an extremely difficult move to pull off on a high level competitor, it is inefficient, and he didn’t invent it. The rubber guard he also did not invent and it requires many steps, flexibility and cardio to pull off. The truck roll from twister side exposes your own back at the last cjj ebi some guy got his back taken trying to twister roll. Tony Ferguson submitted Kevin lee when he abandoned rubber guard. The electric chair is okay, but a whole martial art cannot be built off of one sweep. Trying to pull off eddies moves is a burden on most competitors rather than an asset, and the 10p style is inefficient for most people.

      Rabin Alexander when did eddie say he invented the rubber guard or the twister? And what do you mean that the 10p style is inefficient for most people? You do realize there are a load of 10p schools across the country that use his system. If you don’t prefer the 10th planet system, that’s fine. That’s the cool thing about jiu jitsu - it’s your own style. But it just sounds like you have some hate for eddie for no reason.

    This NOT a martial art, but a form of wrestling. The real world is not covered with mats. This would not help in real world if you had to defend yourself or someone you care about. Look up the real video of the idiot who tried to use BBJ against a armed opponent with a gun. Got what he deserved.

    • @JacobsWay
      @JacobsWay 6 лет назад +8

      Dennis Moore the hell is BBJ? Anyways, you should tell the vale tudo legends that their jiu jitsu is useless in a street fight 😂

      There is no unarmed martial art that has a high success rate defeating armed opponents; not Aikido, not Krav Maga, not Kung Fu.
      All martial arts have a below 50% success rate fighting an armed opponent with just unarmed martial arts skills
      Please don't make posts like these anymore; not only is it not really making a point (just trying to defame) -- BJJ is one martial art and a person serious about self defense will train at least one standup martial art as a compliment to Jiujitsu. I think that's become almost a standard for BJJ practitioners. I've put a few years (each) into four different martial arts, and I keep training the ones I seem to be getting the most out of. Jiujitsu is on that list, without a doubt.
