I had a mole on my back I’ve had for years and my dermatologist was worried about it. I didn’t think much of it, but I let her biopsy it anyway. It turned out to be skin cancer and I needed surgery to remove a whole chunk of skin from that area before it spread! Luckily I didn’t need any other treatment, but I was close to that point. Now I get checked once a year and I they haven’t found anything concerning since ❤
May I ask since when did you have that mole on your back? I have one quite big on my arm since little, let's say 20 years. Did it progressively grow or was it the same size all those years? I have no simptoms, no rash or bother. It never changed its size too..I will visit dermatologist about it for sure, I just wanted to know more details of your case, if possible. Thank you..
I hope you had a sentinel lymph node biopsy done. I had the exact same situation and did a lymph node biopsy as well - it came back positive. I was then diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma. I had absolutely no symptoms.
