I have a 00 civic and it's the same sensor I've been for hours on youtube trying to know if this original sensor would need a special socket and you are the only one that I found that explained that so even though it's in a different place the one that you took off is the same in my car and the same that I've bought on Honda I only wish I saw your video before I took the plug off because I've pulled from the wire and can't find a new plug ... but now I know what I'll need to take it off tomorrow .many thanks from Brazil .
Sorry you had to go through that. I hate when some videos don't go into detail. Hope everything turns out right, and THANKS for that comment all the way from BRAZIL!!!!
thanks to your video it did , the only thing was that the socket was 15/16 because the 24 was a bit loose , but thanks to your video everything was smooth and easy.
Hi- very helpful video- nice, positive energy and clear directions- can you tell us what brand of sensor you purchased? I have had trouble threading two different aftermarket sensors in my 2006 Pilot.
Hi Tim. It wasn't clear to me what your solution was regarding the boot. I don't see a part for it in the Honda parts diagrams. Did you find a replacement boot for it someplace? Thanks for the helpful video!
Part # for the 2003 Pilot EX-L is 37240-PT0-014, you need a LONG 24 mm six point socket. The torque rating from the factory service manual page 8-11 is 13 lbf-ft or 18 N-m or 1.8 kgf-m. I thought I might be able to access from the top of engine bay, but it looks like you gotta lift up the car like in the video and go from under the passenger front side.
Hey so when you screwed the new one back in did you screw it till the red lock tight was not visible anymore? Also when taking the connector off the old one is that connector just something you pull off? Or is there a lock you gotta push down to release it up?
Oh, do you have a video for a pressure sensor switch replacement where does it go on an 06 Honda Odyssey van. I cannot find a video anywhere where this thing goes or how to replace it. If you have one thank you very much
I got the oil leak coming from those area and I thought it was the vtec spool valve housing gasket, I replaced the gasket, cleaned that area good and leak is still there and oil seem to be coming from the middle between the oil pressure switch and vtec housing, Unlucky me, it's an oil pump housing cover there. And it's not cheap to reseal it, since time belt and oil pan need to be removed in order to reseal that oil pump front plate.
⭐ Astral Auto Repairs i was hoping that was the leak source and I did replaced that gasket and it wasn't it. The leak was small but enough to make a drop on my garage every day. And my timing belt still has about 2 more yrs before due for replacement. That will be the time to take care of all the major gasket including redo oil pan gasket.
⭐ Astral Auto Repairs I am afraid so, what I was planing to do probably is gonna cost at least $2k at dealer which includes time belt package, oil pump and pan reseal, valve cover gaskets, intake manifold and egr cleaning while at. So I have to take my time which I don't have, tackle it one by one. The worst case scenario is about a month. :) in the mean while I have to keep monitoring and top off the oil and not using it for long trip. I hated engine oil leak.

It should be almost the same if not identical location. They use the same engine between the pilot and Odyssey.
Informative
Thanks Tim!
No problem!
Ty
Hope get a job doing valve cover gasket job on a 2002 Deville so I can see how to do it
You know if I get the opportunity I'll do a video
Excellent
Thanks!

Hopefully its' not, and it's the oil filter housing gasket. We did do a video on that.

Good thing it's a small leak. Are you going to do that job?

Wow, that will be some project. You should make a video.
My Honda Pilot is 2006. Is this the same or similar to solve the problem? Thanks
If it has the same engine, it might be very similar.
Having issues with my oil pressure switch 😂😂😂🤷♀️
Flashing oil light
I watched this one second.
I did this one first? So many cars...
*I am a number **_2_** , Timmy.*
LOL, let's see who's number 1 next time.
Pretty tight access for big dang sockets.
You're telling me?....lol
