Coming from a person who crochets instead of knitting, this is witchcraft!! The way you can just create an entire sweater is amazing. Forever in awe of those who can knit!
I'm 20 and I've been crocheting since I was 11 or 12, I tried to learn knitting maaaaany times and it's so hard and frustrating holy moly
@@okruszeklukeya2806 Which way did you try to learn? :) There are many ways to knit, english style, continental, combination, flicking, portugese and a few others still. If you still wanna keep learning it, maybe check if it was just the knitting style you tried that made it weird for you? Kind of like pencil hold vs knife hold crochet. I knit continental and crochet with a knife hold, pencil hold has never worked for me and i think i would have given up on knitting if it was english i was taught first :3 I don't know them by heart anymore, but there are a few channels here doing good explanations of knitting, iirc Very Pink Knits is one of them.
@@okruszeklukeya2806 I knit continental method as well. My mom taught me when I was 6. Learned it in half an hour. It’s way easier than what the lady was doing in the video. You don’t need a crochet hook to cast on either. The video was making things way more complicated than they should be. I taught a friend in high school in 15 minutes during our lunch hour. The next week I showed her how to make the braid cable in 5 minutes using Continental method.
Same! I can’t knit to save my life. Crochet is much more forgiving 😅
I’m jealous of those who can crochet because I have been knitting for years and cannot understand it to save my life. My hands are too used to knitting.
It's only after knitting yourself you get a whole new appreciation for the 'Ugly sweaters' . The work , time , concentration and effort that goes into them with a ton of patience .
True!
They r not even ugly I LOVE THEM theyre cozy and aesthetic ly pleasing ppl just prrfer tshirts w supreme printed on them ig/j 💀😭
@@mae3900 lady calm down ... I know they're not ugly , it's people that don't appreciate them enough that give them the name .
Legit! Now when I started knitting, I look back at the sweater mom knitting for little me. I have never felt such appreciation & warmth within me.
@@FrostSoul-qs6kq they weren’t getting aggressive with you dude 💀
why is this knitting timelapse stressing me out about the fact that i'm losing time even more than i normally do
I thought i was the only one having exsenstetial dread watching this XD I'm out here questioning everything I've ever done, I'm too young to be worrying over this stuff 😭💔
Like I watched this to have a quick break before starting the next task in my university module and the unexpected extistential crisis felt kind of like an attack lmao, still loved the video though.
same lol it seemed a little incongruous tbh. You don't expect intense deep, use your time wisely messages from a knit timelapse lol x'D I knit as a hobby, not professionally, so I actually see knitting as a productivity lapse, so imagine how I felt while watching this video lol XD
amazing result with the kntting tho XD
There's a lot of shame others want to give us. But they can't make you do anything. I knit to escape the pressure. You can, too. Don't let another person rule your experience of life, or time.
came here for a tutorial, left crying over the fact that im wasting my life. Great video, thanks.
Sorry to hear that

Nothing is wasted. Time ill spent is not wasted, for the use becomes a lesson on the day you realize a better way to spend/use it. Just like money, fabric, books... You will learn to refine the activities/things you spend your time/money on to those activities/things that serve you best. And sometimes life is on a different schedule than you want, and things take longer to happen. Do not stress on it. Things happen in due time. And you will find that despite what you thought or want, things happen and come to you exactly at the best time. Forget being in control, it is an illusion. Be busy with what is at hand, and wait. And all will come with perfect timing. God will deliver, be it a teacher, a stirring within, or supplies, and His timing is perfect. You will not fear time when you find joy in every moment. Look around and behold the beauty that surrounds you. Seek it and thrive in joy, little sister. 😘💞💖
@@kilodeltawhisky1504 I agree I was knitting a sweater but after some time I unknitted it cause there were many flaws but now I'm starting again and the experience I gained from the first trial is definitely helping me in knitting good🥺
@@ToTheKnitPoint 💀
Everything about this video was beautiful. The music, the life lessons, the editing and of course, the sweater. I hope you make more videos like this.
I'm planning to make a video for a cabled top down raglan! :)
@@ToTheKnitPoint that sounds great, I look forward to it!
Her hands too lol
The moment I saw the finished product I just automatically said
“Shit , that’s beautiful “😃
I never thought I'd cry to a knitting video... but I did, and I just want to say thank you. I've been struggling to come to terms with the fact that I may have ADHD and I've been so hard on myself for failing to use my time the way I've wanted to in the day and collectively over the years. Knitting has always been something I've said if I could do forever, I would. I want to give myself that permission again because it truly makes me happy. Thank you for the reminder
fellow adhd knitter 🙋🏻♀️
me too 💖🧠
Yes, same. Knitting is very calming yet feeling like accomplishing something beautiful.
Me too :) Knitting brings me such joy! Accomplishing new skills is such a triumph!
@@JP-zh8lm I found out I have ADHD when I was 30 (3 years ago). Coming to terms with it and learning how things work best for me has changed my life. It can only get better 😉
A three minute video stating to be mindful of time. A big thank you for not dragging this out for a long time because I know I’ll never learn how to knit. 😂 Beautiful work by the way! Thanks!
Oh thank you :)
Never say never! If you want to learn, you can do it.
I mostly crochet, knitting has always been more difficult for me, but fair isle knitting is something that always brings me back to wanting to push through my frustration with knitting!
Thank you for this kind comment!
Lionel try knitting Continental instead
I saw this video a few months ago and loved the pattern so much! I’m now about 3/4 finished with the same pattern in blue, orange, and white. I’m having a blast! This is the first sweater I’ve done that has multiple colors, and your knitting was really inspirational. I love the time lapse format 💛💛
Thank you so much! Enjoy knitting and wearing your sweater. I'm sure you will love it :)
I remember watching this video for the first time 20 mins after you published it, to this day it makes my soul feel warm and full. Thank you for giving me that experience and allowing me to keep revisiting it.
:)
Oh, thank you. This was lovely to read :)
To this day, I really couldn't fathom that some people still do spend their time doing and learning creative things. Its an asset, a legacy I wish for.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much for the comment :)
I love watching people knit! What a great idea for a timelapse channel.
Oh thank you :)
A piece of clothing that you make is nothing more valuable than buying five from machines from the store. And when they're out of fashion, you throw it away ... You put it aside ... You give it to someone else ... But you have been sacrificing more and more of your time and the work of your own hands is a more valuable gift to yourself or your loved ones. If everyone did the clothes themselves or something else props would not have so much pollution and so much garbage on earth. You are very skillful and I appreciate your work!
Thanks so much :)
Why does every inspirational video feel like a call out post
Such a beautiful sweater! I’m working on my first knit color work project, which is a stocking. I love how it’s mindless & requires some attention to be paid to it all at the same time. Thanks for sharing!
I agree. It keeps you on your feet, but still feels intuitive!
I usually struggle with choosing color combinations but this one is so stunning i might just steal it 😍
I'm glad you like it! :)
I’m currently knitting a sweater for my mamma and I’m so glad that I’m using my free time to do something nice for her. I’m putting all of my good intentions into the sweater and I hope it will bring her joy
Hand knitted pieces made with love are the best gifts :)
I've been too busy to knit, been working til 10pm this week. Yes time is precious and I'm not sure if I used it wisely. Thanks for this lovely video. It was healing and therapeutic just to watch.
You're so welcome, glad you enjoyed :)
This was such an amazing video! Thanks for this gem! Really looking forward to all Your future content 😊❤️
Wow 😯 this is so impressive! I've never seen it done like that, in one piece?! My grandmother still knits, but she does it in parts, which she then "sews" together with yarn.
This was one of the most powerful and important videos I’ve ever watched.
Also, I need to start knitting again.
Thanks so much :) Glad you enjoyed!
This is beautiful! Hoping you’ll make more time lapse videos in the future because the ones you’ve made so far are delightful.
im obsessed. this video was so beautiful
Your tension is just 👌*chefs kiss*. Everything about this video is beautiful. ❤️
I started knitting this year and I consider myself lucky when a hat turns out the way I want it to look. Your level of skill truly intimates me. I hope that one day I can achieve this level of success in my knitting. I imagine this took an insane amount of patience on your part. I'm so impressed! Great job :)
Thanks so much. As long as you keep persistence, the hard work will pay off :) Good luck on your knitting journey, I'm sure you will love it!
This is so beautiful. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
This is a video about knitting a sweater, but the video itself is quite the work of expressive art. Great work!
Oh thank you :) (Sorry for the late reply)
This is so beautiful!
I recently started knitting because my brother who knits gave me some yarn and needles for Christmas. I feel good to be doing something productive with my time. I'm going to keep learning and I hope I can start making sweaters soon. Beautiful video! :)
Thanks so much :) I think you will enjoy knitting!
Somehow this is much more inspiring and hopeful than all those self-improvement/motivational videos
I hoped it would come off as motivating! :) (sorry for the late reply)
Omg!! That is stunning! ❤️😍
Loved this! I’m struggling with mental health issues and it’s affecting my concentration and my ability to knit. This was lovely. Thank you. I love your clock.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I hope things get better. Sending positivity :)
This is witchcraft. Now you got me hooked and I can’t wait to start knitting my first sweater for 2024! Thank you for the motivation, Happy Knitting New Year everyone!
Good luck and happy knitting! (sorry for the late reply)
This made me have an existential crisis. Thanks!
(Amazing work btw)
I came here to watch you knit a sweater and got inspired in the process. I like your videos.
Thank you :)
this is much more satisfying than redoing the fair isle hat I just frogged
What a lovely, thought-provoking video. Thank you.
You're so welcome :)
Absolutely beautiful!
Wow thank you for making the video
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Wow 😍 what a beautiful video, so well done and the sweater too of course!
Thanks so much :)
Crocheter here 🥺 Crochet projects are fun but when making clothing I feel like it doesn’t flow as nice/feels too chunky and stiff. Definitely want to try knitting!!
Knitting definitely broadens the scope of projects you can make! Good luck :) & thanks for commenting.
Stunning. Thanks for the inspiration
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you!
Wow! This makes me want to try a sweater. I've done color work but not a sweater. This is lovely. Thank you.
Oh thank you :) Happy knitting!
Beautiful sweater! Lovely work!
Thank you :)
Beautiful and looks super comfy and warm❤
I would definitely wear it to shreds ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you and I'm planning to wear this on repeat this winter! :)
That yarn is my absolute favorite for Selbu or any kind of warm wear knitting projects.
It's also my favourite too :)
Beautiful work
It is just so very beautiful. I LOVE it so much.
this is so pretty🔥🔥
Oh thank you :)
That was wonderful to watch. I actually thought that this was impossible. Just started crocheting but soon I want to knit
Thanks so much!
absolutely gorgeous sweater!! 😍
Thanks so much :)
That's real job satisfaction. You actually feel like you've accomplished something with your time.
It's beautiful . I love knitting but have never done that in my whole life . But it always seems so interesting .
Colourwork is a great way to expand your knitting skills. It's also fun :)
Great video super motivating and the sweater looks amazing 🙂
Thanks so much :)
As someone who just started knitting, this is amazing! Just, how?! I appreciate your skill, hopefully I'll be able to get to this level as well!
Sorry for the late reply.
Thanks so much for watching. Keep practicing and don't give up :) Good luck and happy knitting!
What a beautiful, almost mystical video. I loved it, thank you. (Especially as I’m a messy, easily bored knitter.
Oh thanks so much :)
So inspiring! I hope to learn how to knit like this.
You can. Don't give up and keep going :)
So amazing! Lovely💖
Thank you :)
This was an awesome video. It’s a gorgeous sweater 🥰🥰
Thanks so much
Wonderul knitting. I have been looking for this pattern (it looks the same) after seeing Gina Chick (the recent winner of 'Alone' in the Tasmanian wilderness who wore a version of it for virtually the whole 60 days plus she was out there and it always looked great and importantly in that climate - warm !
Thank so much for watching!
Time... doesn't exist. It's only Now moment. 🙌
This is incredible. Thank you
You're so welcome, and thanks for the comment!
Wow, incredible job 👏👏
Thanks so much
Amazing! Thank you!
Oh thank you :)
stunning
Thanks so much :)
That’s beautiful
Amazing! 💖
How long did it take you to finish this? I knitted the exact same sweater and it took me 6 months lol
Same lol
That’s so fast omg
Lovely! I really need to knit something in worsted or sport weight yarn.
I seem to make a lot of baby things with light fingering weight or lace weight and it takes forever! LOL!
Worsted weight goes by much more quickly, I think you will enjoy it :)
What a masterpiece 👍🌻💕
What a lovely comment :)
Did you add more loop for the body or you just keep it square? It looks gorgeous
This is amazing!
Thank you
Beautifully done
Thank you :)
Andrea Mowry has a great tutorial on the tubular cast on that is so much quicker and doesn’t require scrap yarn if you’re interested!!!
I just watched her video and it's definitely quicker than what I did. I enjoy learning new techniques so thank you for the recommendation!
So amazing video 🙏💝👌
Thank you for sharing this video with us
Thanks so much for watching :) Sorry for the late reply
Gorgeous!
Thanks so much :)
Damnn its so clean and perfect
Thank you :)
Wyszedł pieknie!
Anybody knows how can i get that patterns book she used ?
The music sounds a bit like Nils Frahm. Really beautiful!
I hear Nils Frahm too. Thanks so much for watching :)
Can u post the full video step by step tutorial for this?
This is so pretty ! I would love to have your skills ! 🌹
Why do i feel like crying
Beautiful
my cat enjoyed this video
LOL
Hmm, just from a nudge to maybe get started knitting, to a beautiful life lesson!
Thank you!
That’s a beautiful sweater, I do likePatron yarn.
Thank you, and I do love Paton's wool yarn. It's my go-to.
hi!! Was searching for sweater vest tutorials when I found your video! Could you maybe post a tutorial for starters? for knitting something small? like a scarf? or mittens? it's be soo cool to see. AND YOUR TIME LAPSES AND ARE INCREDIBLY SOOTHING
would recommend arne and carlos, they have a lot of tutorials for beginners.
Interesting little short video. That jumper is beautifully knitted. I struggle with the idea of knitting something this complicated because it would take so long lol I have so many other creative talents I am always doing something with my time. Painting, drawing, knitting, sewing, crochet and knitting. It is sometimes hard to know what I want to do with my time lol T x
I also enjoy hobbies that keep my hands busy. Something about busy hands lets my mind roam free.
Intricate looking pieces are a great way to challenge yourself and build on your knitting skills. They're also easier than they seem because it's just a repeat of certain rows. After it becomes intuitive.
@@ToTheKnitPoint Yeah, my knitting skills are very basic right now. Though I have just knitted a childs cable jumper. that knitted up quickly. Perhaps one day I will tackle something a little more fancy ;). What other hobbies do you have? I can paint and draw and sew (beginner) and crochet and Ive even started learning how to weave on a rigid heddle loom :) T x
@@TartantazCreates I mainly knit as a hobby. I also play piano.
Pls make a video how you knitted this sweater.
I wish I could do that, I would have such money what a side hustle!
I want a detailed tutorial on knitting with designs. 😩😩😩
what ribbing method was that when you cut off the grey at the beginning of the video?
I used tubular cast on with scrap yarn
It's perfect!
Oh, thanks so much
Gajab 🔥
Epic!
omg wow!
You're so welcome!
@@ToTheKnitPoint I am more into crocheting because its more easy, at least to me it seems to be that... well, I admire knitting and would like to be a better performing at this. maybe I just need to practice more? I don't know. what would you recommend?
@@mirisimsek Definitely practice so you get use to the movement. Slowly you'll develop better tension as well. And start with basic patterns until you feel confident enough to move forward :)
@@ToTheKnitPoint thanks :)
